A war has been declared on Conservatives. Only this time it's not just the Democrats.
Our Republican party is under ASSAULT from liberals and "moderates", and it's an assault from within. Governors like Florida's Charlie Crist, who's ONLY claim to conservatism is that he's a tax cutter and Governor Arnold "the Terminator" in CA, who has caved to liberals so often that he might as well switch parties are gaining more and more power at the expense of us Reagan conservatives.

To make it even uglier, John McCain and Mike Huckabee are sounding like left-leaning populists on the stump, instead of tax cutting conservative unifiers. Ronald Reagan would weep over the class warfare these two perpetuate!

These RINOS and an entire "herd" of other liberal Republicans are presently attempting what can only be called a "palace coup" by coming out in DROVES to endorse John McCain over Mitt Romney. Mitt's not a perfect Reaganite, but he may be the most talented and qualified Presidential candidate to seek the office in a generation. And for those who are worried about Mitt's conservative credentials, it's instructive to pay attention to his enemies. If the far left and New York Times hates his guts, and George Soros funded websites spend time and energy disseminating misinformation about Mitt, well that sorta tells the story for me. I'm for Mitt!

Here's my proposal. Individuals like us can do very little to change things by ourselves, but if we can get two or more of us--as many as possible--to REALLY beat the drums for Romney and against McCain before Super Tuesday we MAY have some effect on a few states. We must work hard to stop this power grab by liberals in our party. There's no need for profanity against Senator McCain, just expose his liberal record and his backstabbing ways against everything conservative that's happened in the Senate. We can use our own blogs, FireSociety and other conservative sites to get the word out.

What's at stake? Nothing less than the future of the Republican Party as a home, and refuge for those of us who believe in:
* smaller government and greater freedom
* vigorously defending America against those who want us dead
* a culture of LIFE instead of a culture of death
* defending our borders against an invasion of unassimilated Hispanic hordes
* honoring America as a unique experiment in human freedom
* defending our Constitution against those who view it as a living, breathing document and would use unelected, unaccountable leftist judges to change it on a whim
* the amazing power of free markets and capitalism as the "engine" of our freedom

Let me know what you think. If you like the idea PLEASE contact conservative friends and family and bloggers and run this by them. We have four days to stop this onslaught and the "mainstream" media is positively giddy about McCain. We are in a fight for the control of our own party, and so far only the liberals know it! Thanks.

Sincerely,
Morgan

That is all well and good, Morgan, but a great many conservatives are just as afraid of Romney's globalist pedigree as they are McCain's liberal one.

"globalist pedigree"? He's the ONLY one in the race anymore promising to close the border! msbobbie, there are two choices and two choices only to defeat Hillary. Mitt Romney and John McCain (aka Juan McAmnesty). A McCain vote is a vote FOR the U.N. and it's agenda. Romney's the only choice for responsible adults.

I agree with you.  Unfortunately many of the pro-lifers are on the side of the"poor Mexicans just coming to work", and a lot of the free market people think of being free to hire illegals and the free trade debacle.  You didn't mention the all important fiscal conservatism and getting us out of this unprecedented debt.   We also have to defend against the enclaves of unassimilated moslems whose goal is an islamic theocracy in the end.  They took advantage of "freedom of religion" to bring in that kill cult.  I haven't heard any globalist rhetoric coming from Romney, ever.  It is coming from Clinton, Obama, and McCain.

Marcy is starting a new thread called something like Defeat McCain.  She will post an email text everyone can use to send to as many people as possible.  It attacks McCain's summer amnesty bill and his supporters who voted against the Cornyn Amendment to disallow gang members, terrorists, and other criminals!  Go there, copy the text to your email distribution list, and ask them to pass it on -- that's one tool we can use, and time is short!

TEXAN...NO - I WON'T FORGET THE ALAMO! "Where's the Fence???" RINO huntin' season started January 10th (but ended January 22nd)! FRED has left the building!!!! MITT has entered my world! Oops, MITT left my world too soon also (on February 7th)! Dang, can't catch a break -- but Hillary, Obama, and McCain aren't it either (nor Huckabee, Paul, Keyes, Nader, ad nauseum)!

McCain is now coming on the Tonight show and Jay Leno calls him the Republican "front runner".  I shut the prick off, what a friggin' joke, both the front runner part and the Republican part.  I don't think Leno meant it as a joke, though.

I agree msbobbie.  This election is not just about the damn border.  Romney's globalist approach to business, and his ties to the chinese are just as much a threat as our open borders. Someone with his ties to the chinese brings serious doubt about what he would/would not do to make a buck with those people.

You guys don't even LISTEN to what Romney says.  He has the interest of the US at heart, not his own.  He wants to make it a more level playing field and bring more jobs to American citizens.

You're EXACTLY right FireWing! The people who don't like Mitt, for whatever "reason" don't seem to understand how ruinous the alternatives truly are. I'm going to work like hell to get Mitt elected for the next three days and then I'll quit the fight with a clean conscience, because if he DOESN'T win I'll know what's coming and I'll know I did my best!

So far I believe every one of them has "said" they have the interest of the US at heart.  Doesn't mean a thing.

They are politicians that is what they do say whatever it takes to get elected.  If you think this guy justy dropped out of nowhere and is not a politician God help you.  His father was governor of MI, and ran for President in 1968, his mother ran for the Senate in 1972.  Willard himself ran for the senate, and was a governor.  He has been working his entire life for this.  You cannot possibly think he would say or do anything necessary to win.

Romney has stated over and over that he will close the border and NO AMNESTY - he has said it over and over and according to Numbers USA he is the only one they rate as acceptable on the illegal immigration issue.

Unfortunately for those of you who don't live in California you dont' understand how it works - so I will explain:

You flood in with illegals and have babies like crazy - started happening here after the first 3 million got amnesty in 1986.

By 2006 all of these babies, American citizen "anchor" babies are now of voting age.  They are more in touch with the "hispanic" issues and they "feel" for their parents "home country" more than America.  They join with their parents and extended family that they brought over to be part of La Raza, Maldef etc.

Now a state that would on a normal basis have so many "legal immigrants" coming in and "assimilating" into American culture - have a flood of immigrants who don't want to assimilate into American culture and in fact now believe in Atzlan and want to fight to be La Raza (The Race).  It happens RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES.

But the Open Borders / NAU / NAFTA Super HWY / SPP guys don't want you to "see it".  So they make the Iraq War the #1 issue - then they make the Economy the #1 issue and Health Care the #1 issue and even with people like Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck pounding the issue daily - the American people get up in arms but are very easily "swayed" by talk shows and the media pounding them in the head daily saying Romney can't win.

The Republican Party brings out the BIG Guns and says McCain is a "conservative" (which he is not) and that all the "conservatives" will "rally around him" (which they will not) just to fight off big bad Hillary.

Why bother - as even Ann Coulter can explain McCain is actually left of Hillary if you look at his voting and past actions.

As you all fight over who is the best conservative here or there and who flipped and who flopped (Ann Coulter is correct that McCain is a worse lier than Hillary) - the WINNER IS - NAU / SPP / OPEN BORDERS / VICENTE FOX W/ US TAX PAYER MONEY TO OPEN A MEXICAN CONSULATE IN ARK.

It is all smoke and mirrors and you are being played by some of the best in the business.

Huckabee is the ringer for McCain (most think he has been promised the VP job).

This is EXACTLY what the NAU  / AMERO folks are counting on.

But when millions illegally violate our borders with the support of a foreign government (Mexico’s) and openly talk of “reconquista” —reconquest — this is not immigration but invasion.

Every candidate now proffers some kind of solution. But all Democratic and most Republican candidates have records ranging from ambiguous to treasonous. We can, however, count on Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) to guard our borders and enforce our laws.

Taxes, abortion, the Middle East and other issues are also vital, and Ron Paul is also right about these. But when we turn back the invasion, this country can satisfactorily resolve them all in due time. Yet if the invasion succeeds (and it advances a little farther each day), there may no longer be a country, or, if there is, it will not be our country.

Unless we defeat the invasion — not just halt it, but turn it back — some now reading this will see a time when the American majority becomes a minority in their own homeland. If we have a Third World majority, we shall become a Third World land and no longer be part of Western civilization — not a future Americans should ever want to leave for their children and grandchildren.

You can sit and hedge your bets over who flipped while who flopped (McCain has been caught out right lying and called on it even today by CNN but for some reason he is given the pass).

So if you are in a state unlike California where the anchor babies haven't yet reached 50% of your population yet - just wait another 10 years or so - then you will all flood out to vote and guess what - IT WILL NOT COUNT BECAUSE:

"We are millions, we just have to survive, we have an aging white America, they are not making babies,  they are dying, it is a matter of time, the explosion is in our population"Mayor Antonio Villaragosia:  "It is not enough to elect Latino Leadership, if their supporting legislation that denies the  undocumented they don't belong in office friend, they don't belong here" Mario Obledo (co-founder of MALDEF): California is going to be a Hispanic state and anyone who doesn't like it should leave.

Then you will be crying and saying you don't want to speak Spanish and you will have 18 to 20 radio stations all in Spanish and Spanish TV will take up 35 to 45 stations and all the signs in town will be in Spanish and people will ask you why you don't speak Spanish?

You will then remember back to when you "haggled" over if McCain/Kennedy who lies and also had McCain/Feingold and McCain/Lieberman to name a few over Mitt Romeny who swore he would close the border and deport illegals and NO AMNESTY.

I can see why the choice is so hard.  So please move to LA or San Diego or the border towns of AZ and begin to see your future now.

Romney supports Free Trade, wants more of it, and believes the President should have Fast Track authority.  That is what got us NAFTA & CAFTA & SPP.

The lead attorney in the fight against illegal immigration in Hazeltown PA -Kris Kobach just joined the Romney team to help set up the fight against illegal immigration - read all the notes on the thread.

Kris Kobach, the head of the Kansas Republican Party, today endorsed Mitt Romney for president.

Heads of parties don't typically do that.

In a statement, Kobach said Romney "has outlined the clearest vision for how we are going to end illegal immigration in this country.

"More importantly, he has the record to back up his words.  When he was Governor, he vetoed a bill that would have rewarded illegal aliens with in-state tuition rates, and he also increased cooperation between state and federal law enforcement.  In one of our country's most liberal states, he stood up for the enforcement of immigration laws.  He will do the same as President."
