Major Hispanic Group Launches 'Hate Speech' Campaign Targeting Dobbs, Beck

January 30, 2008 03:33 PM

The country's leading Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization is set to begin a campaign targeting several newscasters and presidential candidates for what it deems "rhetoric that demonizes immigrants and Hispanic Americans."

The National Council of La Raza, which includes nearly 300 affiliated organizations, will launch a new initiative on Thursday titled "We Can Stop The Hate," aimed at curtailing the influence of CNN's Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck as well as MSNBC political commentator Pat Buchanan. In addition, the organization is petitioning for Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee to renounce the endorsement of Jim Gilchrist, a cofounder of the Minuteman Project, an anti-immigration group.

"There's a bully in the room," said Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CE, "and each of these candidates has a choice. They can stand up to the bully or they can cater to him. It is a question of courage or cowardice. To date, we have seen far too little courage."

The NCLR campaign, which will likely last through the presidential election, will catalogue the use of code words that paint immigrants as threats. The website accompanying the launch will included fact sheets and video samples documenting examples of inflammatory immigration-policy rhetoric.

The organization has requested a meeting with senior executives at CNN, Fox, and MSNBC, to discuss the philosophical viewpoints of their respective anchors and commentators. The ultimate goal of the campaign, officials say, will be to stem the "surge in hate speech and violence" that has emerged in the immigration debate.

"The immigration issue deserves serious debate and serious solutions," said Murguía. "We cannot have that debate as long as hate has the floor."

Lou Dobbs has always been kind and gracious to Murguia when he had her on his show but she -- backed by big business, special interest groups and views of ethnic superiority and entitlement -- belongs to La Raza whose motto is: Por the raza todo; fuera de la raza nada. This means for the race everything; outside the race nothing.

How racist can a slogan be. Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck are two voices yelliing in a wilderness of liberal views that don't address the views of the majority. We must defend Dobbs and Beck!

And yes, let's have debate and let's use lots of numbers and facts that will show what the inclusion of millions of illegal aliens will do to this country.

I don't want to hear we must be humane; we must be compassionate. I say be humane and compassionate to AMERICANS FIRST!

I agree, we must lend our support to the only two journalists who support our country and "we the people."

LaRaza will do whatever it can to destroy our country, its culture and its freedoms to rule itself.  Their influence has become deafening and maddening, and  they are the ones who need to be stopped.

So, these hispanics (that is how they identify themselves) come from the land of banana republics, dictators and communist regimes then want to tell us how to govern ourselves and what constitutes free speech.

If there is hate speech it comes from Juan Fernandez of the McAmnesty campaign.....

Everyone should write to Lou Dobbs and Glenn to let them know that we support them!  Also it wouldn't hurt to check out my thread on HR 1955 this is what they are trying to go after them with!  We must get busy with this or our freedom of speech will be gone!  It still has to pass the Senate... We must get to them before they do this!

Who do you want in the White House?  Not McCain or Clinton!  Someone that will protect our Constitutional rights!  This is just the tip of the iceberg!

"For The Race Everything, for all the others Nothing".  LaRaza has the gall to call others racist, and their own speeches not hate for whites and blacks.  The reality is that they are in violation of Sec8USC1324  "Aiding, Abetting, and Encouraging illegal aliens", yet a list of donors includes US Government agencies!!!

By law they owe you and I many billions in fines, and all their corporate officers should be at hard labor building the fence.   20 to 40 years ago, the latinos were likeable people, but now that they have exploded in numbers by 20 times, their macho lie cheat and steal attitude is disgusting and very unlikeable.  Pretending they are brothers with the American Indians and that the USA and all the Americas are theirs is hostile enough for war, which we should fight and win again, this time with less mercy.  Acting like they had a bigger part than they did in the making of this country is another of their fantasies.  They have fantasized  for so long that they even believe their own crap.  Puffed up egos and an average of 80 IQ does not make greatness.  They show themselves to be more of a disease and criminal element,  that keeps getting away with criminality so much that they think our laws are not for them.  They just bring down their whole Raza, including the 24% who are "good".

There is no debate.  We do not want illegal immigrants here and we want to stop them from coming here in the first place.  There is no room for debate.

The more La Raza and its allies do, the more angry people there are.

You're right.  There was an illegal alien sympathizer on TV the other night saying some Mexicans had come over the border (they were Mexican public officials) to "communicate" with us.  For some reason the onus is on us to communicate, negotiate and debate on an issue that can be decided by the stroke of a president's pen:  enforce the law.

I don't want to hear about the American Dream, the statue of Liberty or any other ploy they often use to muddy the waters.  Just the facts Murguia, just the facts.

We know that some Mexican pig farmers and others have lost their jobs because of NAFTA.  Well -- Americans have lost jobs too due to NAFTA and Bush's rotten free trade deals.  I am convinced Bush and Calderon have made verbal deals, behind the scenes, and what is happening today with illegal immigration is the result of those deals including the incarceration of our border agents, Ramos and Compean.

Hey, I am against increasing the H1B visas in an umlimited manner too to bring in "illegals" from India/China to take our high tech jobs, it is not hate for the person, it is hate for the ILLEGALS...and when Mexico starts allowing anyone from S America into their country to take THEIR jobs, then they  have a right to condem us, until then NO WAY!!

If you have to hyphenate your race--you are NOT an American!! This from a French-German-English-Irish-AMERICAN! See how silly this can become?

I would like to see Americans that are against Illegal aliens find a way to keep La Raza and the other Open Borders organizations from influencing the American political system. One way would be to call for all of their assets to be frozen by declaring them a terrorist organization. And, in reality that's all they are, people who are invading the U.S.A. with the hopes of taking it over for their cause. So, it's time to start treating them that way.

I got thinking about my previous post and I came up with an idea that may be easier than getting La Raza and other Open Borders groups classified as terrorist organizations. So, here it is:

We can work with local and State governments to get their license to do business taken away. Basically, people within each State, City, and town where they are located can make a coalition of people who fight to get La Raza and other groups stripped of their license to do business. Any organization must follow the Federal, State, and Local governments in order to do business. However, La Raza and other organizations are not following the laws that were set up, considering they are helping to abet and harbor Illegal aliens which means they are committing felonies. So, they can be stripped of their business license.

That's just an idea I think could help turn the tide with those Open Borders groups.

I sent an e-mail to the "We Can Stop The Hate" website at info@wecanstopthehate.org. That's the address that's listed on their CONTACT US page. Here's what I said:

I cannot believe the audacity of your organization to claim that the Illegal alien speech is "Hate speech". That is just plain wrong. Those Illegal aliens have no business being in this Country. They are destroying the fabric of what this Nation has been about, the rule of law. It's that simple. Those Illegal aliens are breaking the law by invading America and trying to take it over. La Raza and the other Open Borders groups are the ones who "Hate" this Country because we believe that there should be documentation by all that say they can live and work here.
Lou Dobbs is an American hero who should be commended for keeping the American public informed about the Illegal aliens and Open Borders organizations like La Raza. He has continued to help the American People see what is really going on with Big Business and Special Interests who are fighting to allow Illegal aliens to take over the workplace and our society. Therefore, you have no business trying to keep true icons who fight for America quiet. He has more of a right to express his opinion than any of the Illegal aliens or their supporters.
Sincerely,
Thomas John Willems (aka Creampuff) - An American who believes in protecting America from outside invaders (Illegal aliens)

I did.  I asked them what they were going to do to stop 'hate mail' as posted on Minutemanproject.com--that stuff is so vile and vulgar it should be classified as terrorist activity as they threaten to take our country over and kill the white Europeans!.

Thank you, Kaks and Nancy for taking the time to e-mail them as I have. I hope others will follow suit. With everyone sticking together to tackle the issue of confronting these organizations we can all pave a new future towards a better America.

I think an entire new angle should be addressed regarding our neighbors to the south.  Instead of shipping our troops half way around the world to nation build, why don't we clean up our own neighborhood first?  Because if we did, the Mexican People and other hispanics could grow their own economy, and find a good life right inside their own borders.  But no, not our Govt.  They'd rather call the corrupt Government of Mexico AMIEGO!  So that means one of 2 things-our Government is just as corrupt as they are (which we all know the answer to that) or it's easier to appease your neighbors and pick your fights with cross town bullies.  Especially when the bully sits on billions of dollars worth of oil.

As far as Lou Dobbs-he's awesome and I finally got off Fox News Channel to watch him a few weeks ago, and boy am I glad I did!   And I will write letters too.  Oh, Alberto Gonzales is affilliated with one of the La Razza groups too.  But that shouldn't surprise anyone here.

God Bless the USA and all those who put themselves in harms way to protect and defend
us!

I started reading the .pdf from "We Can Stop The Hate" and about got sick to my stomach.  Who in h do they think they are?  And the fact our own government is basically sponsoring these groups is absolutely insane.

Is this woman even vaguely aware of what these groups are saying today?  Apparently she is choosing to ignore the marchers dragging our flag, flying our flag upside down or flying our flag beneath the mexican flag...and that we should pay no attention to those TODAY spouting off about Aztlan?  She keeps referring to "mythical" Aztlan; how I wish she would tell those in elected in government positions in US states along the southwest, college professors etc. who are talking about Aztlan and not prefacing it with "mythical" either.  PLEASE, are you freaken kidding me?

I'm beginning to believe they really do want some kind of uprising.  For crying out loud, whenever she mentions these groups being against immigration, she is conveniently leaving out "ILLEGAL" immigration.

This is infuriating.
