Why is this little nation at the center of global tensions?

I have had second thoughts about Israel since the attack on the USS Liberty in 1967.  This was a hush, hush deal and crewmembers were not allowed to talk about this.  All Israel ever said was they were sorry.  Lyndon Baines Johnson said he did not give a damn if the ship sank.  We had launched aircraft from a carrier and they were ordered back rather than get involved.  You can google this by typing in USS Liberty.  It is a long video.  We lost over 30 sailors that day while old glory was flying from the mast.

That being said Israel is our only ally in  the mideast.  Israel is given Billion$ in aid each year by the tax payers of this great country.

For those who think we should "give up" on Israel - - you better get acquainted with you Bible.

History has  shown that every nation that has ever come against Israel, or ignored her in her time of need, has been either destroyed and no longer is - - - or has an appointment with the judgement of God.

It doesn't matter whether you believe in God or not - this is just fact. Contrary to the belief of some, the Bible "is" revelant for today. There is an interview with a pastor about this very thing. Read it through, and you'lllearn at least a little about the dangers of "dumping" Israel and her needs.
