It has very recently dawned on me that for me personally, this forum has run its course. I have learned a lot from many of you.
I will still keep up with issues and events but think it's best if I quit posting and being involved on the forum. I think I just want to get my head and heart back to a more positive outlook. Focusing on the negative doesn't do me much good.
I just wanted for the few people who may recognize me to know why I'm not around anymore if it is noticed.
"Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle... In this age, there can be no substitute for Christianity... That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants." ConcernedMom, I wish you luck in focusing on the positive. If you suceed, come back and let the rest of us know how to do it. It is very disheartening reading and learning about where we are as a nation and a people. I do not post often, but I watch daily and my hackles are up, if 'hackle' is a word. I am in the 'fight, defend and protect' mode. Occasionally we have to back away from a crisis to focus, reorganize and recharge our energy. Hope to see you back. Your posts were well thought out and worthwhile.
We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately. Benjamin Franklin at the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
I wish you would stay. Your posts are quite well written and meaningful. I have become very inactive compared to where I was as recently as a month ago. I guess its my age.--As a senior, I feel that I cannot contribute as much as I used to. I have become a little depressed. I see how things were and how they are now and I feel like just sticking my head in the sand and spending the few years I have left , enjoying life as much as I can.
Every day, I am sure, you read something here about an issue that our elected officials are either doing or refusing to do. The first reaction is anger. Over time, at least for me, it becomes resignation and then finally, sadness with a little depression.
What keeps me going is reading the input from so many like minded, informed people that we have here on FS. I hope that the numbers increase. I wish we had ten times the number who were as on top of things as we have on this site. Grassfire and Numbersusa are the two strongest organizations that kept McCain/Kennedy from giving America away with their (in)famous immigration compromise.
PS Who gives them the right to "compromise"? I sure as heck didn't.
So, if you stay, you can continue to help inform people like me as to who and what is happening to America.
Think on it and if you still want to fade out, thanks for what you have done here, but I still wish you would stay.
I understand how you feel. I too had to step away for for over 3 months myself. it helps to step back and take a break sometimes. I am sure we will see you again.
Concerned Mom: You don't have to go completely! Do what I do. Leave for 1 or 2 weeks and then come all recharged and ready to take the bull by the horn. By leaving the Forum you are leaving good friends. Yes, sometimes we will probably not agree in certain issues but that is called LIFE! Keep it up! Let's be strong! Don't leave!!!
I fully understand her rational . I'm leaving also . My post aren't "Enjoyable" as SP puts it . To politically correct for me . Enough of the Christan Right and Neo-Cons . I know freedom and this isn't it .Bye All

Well we can't all just be "Mouse Pad Warriors" in this fight to keep our Constitutional integrity and sovereignty, and life style as we've known it to be. "The fire of freedom must be re-lit by every new generation." We've gotta commit to the full calling we are all charged with in these later days (some may even be Evangelical) and keep checking back here for the news and updates. Go get on those other missions folks...you and God know what they are...right?
Return fairness and integrity to our voting system. The voice of Mainstream America must trumpet over the plutocratic oligarchy. ~ A Constitutional Republican

Well, I guess you've given us your ten cents and that's it. Thanks.
If you ever think you're depressed, just watch Jay Leno's Jaywalking. It'll totally push you over the edge.
"Mouse Pad Warriors"......I like that, FF.

Sorry to see anyone leave who is seriously seeking information and solutions. Your posts were informative and insightful.
We are the first line of defense much as our forefathers who framed the Constitution as they met in secret. We cannot afford, for our own sakes and the sake of our children, to allow this misguided contingent of supposed leaders to have their way and change all that we held dear. We must continue to pass the word, even at the risk of being called paranoid. Our "leaders" call for change. Well, there has been too much change and I'm all for changing it back to what it was. One Nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.
It's time for the majority to once again make the rules and not succumb to the whims of the few - most of whom are not even legal citizens or American organizations. We need a moratorium on useless spending and "earmarks" (which, by the way, I believe was changed from "pork" to "earmarks" to please the Muslims, so they would not feel bad taking our tax money). We need to become less dependent on the rest of the world for our food and other products. If we have to do without that product, so be it. We need to stop defending the rest of the world and defend our own people. We have military bases all over the world. Let the rest of the world pay for their own defense. If it doesn't concern them to defend themselves, it should not concern us.
Sorry to digress, but we cannot go through life with our heads stuck in the sand. The problems are here and we cannot hide from them. They will catch up to us regardless. Being a senior and having few monetary resources or the stamina of a younger person, I am proud to be a "Mousepad Warrior" hoping to bring some awareness to more of the population.
Take a break for awhile, but come back and we will commiserate together. We at least have that much going. We are not alone.
Dear concerned mom,I understand how you feel for I after being a member for only a few weeks have thought about throwing in the towel. We are all we have, and we must never give up to fight for that so many gave their lives for.We must do our best to wake the sidetracked and sleepy other Americans up.If it could happen to me,for I was as sleepy as they come, anything is possible.God bless, your fellow patriot.
For all who have fallen,we must move forward But, for the right reasons.*In my mind, so called "legal residency" is just as a threat as illegal immigration and it the missing topic in the immigration debate.*Every man dies, but not every man truely lives*
Well, I guess I was wrong. I just need a few days to recollect myself. Sorry to be so silly about this whole thing.
Thanks very much for the kind words from each of you. They mean a lot to me.
I guess I'll get back to being a "mousepad warrior" again and see what all else I can cause some trouble with.
