U.S. Supreme Court Denies Certiorari
for Landmark Right to Petition Case

Constitutional Crisis Escalating

Coming: Appropriate Next Steps

On January 4, 2008, the Judges of the Supreme Court of the United States, in conference, voted to deny the Petition for Writ of Certiorari in the landmark Right-to-Petition case We The People v. United States. On January 7 the Court issued its Order denying certiorari.

Without comment, the Supreme Court decided not to hear We The People v. United States, a case which, if heard, would have required the Court to declare -- for the first time history -- whether the Government is obligated to respond to proper Petitions by ordinary, private individuals for Redress of Grievances - specifically Grievances alleging unconstitutional behavior by the Government, and whether the individual having so Petitioned, has the Right to act to peacefully hold the Government accountable if the Government refuses to respond.

In denying to hear this first impression case, the Court has ignored its duty to interpret the meaning of the Constitution, and leaves undisturbed the decision of the DC Court of Appeals which, unfortunately, relied on two cases that were not on point -- they involved employment related grievances by state public employees and state legislation governing same, not Grievances by private parties, and not involving alleged violations of the Constitution.

The decision by the Supreme Court has grave consequences for the future of individual Rights, Freedom and Liberty, popular sovereignty, government accountability and the great experiment in (self) government that is America.    (continued...)

Reminds me of a Simpsons scene.

Skinner: "Now, Bart, I don't think random locker searches are permitted by the Supreme Court."

Bart: "Psssh! Supreme Court? What have they done for us lately?"

Skinner: "Let's roll!"

Bart has the right attitude.

Who cares? It'a all fallilng apart anyway. McCain, Huckabee, Obama, or Clinton will be president, with a Democrat majority in the Senate and House.  The doors will be thrown WIDE OPEN to third worlders. Averge salaries will begin to move towards equilibrium--with China. In 25 years, there will be 500 million people in the US, most of them hostile to the historic (yes, that means White) population of this country. Health care will resemble what goes on in Sudan, except for the governing elites. The currency will not be worth the paper it's printed on (you  better own silver or gold!). And moslem terrorists will probably let off a nuke a year, to go along with bioterror in some big cities. But, hey, as long as they only hit Los Angeles, NYC, DC, and Miami, I don't have much of a problem with THAT. No more America. No more rule of law. Better own guns, ammo, clean water supplies, and precious metals. You'll need the latter to buy your way into Australia, Switzerland, eastern Europe, or Russia as a refugee.

I think we all feel the way you do. However, I'm going to believe that the American public is really not that stupid. Lets see what happens in Michagan, I'm praying Romney takes first, we have to get John McCain out of the top spot and out of the race, along with Huckabee.

Well said Paul55. Though I believe you are being a bit optimistic about the future. I will not run, retreat or immigrate or expatriot, this is MY COUNTRY ! 360 years of my family's blood was spilt for it and I will NOT leave ! I will hunker down and fight. That is the purpose of leaving California for me...to the proper place to hunker down.

I'm planning on staying put. I already tried moving, ended up coming back. My advice would be go and check everything out first, but don't burn any bridges so you can return if need be.  Where I live, there's so many constantly changing strangers coming and going, I crave being at least in familiar surroundings, with some people who are known entities.  Also, it's much more difficult to mess with you when you stand your ground. It would be extremely nice to feel safe.  I feel much safer with you all at FireSociety, even though it has crossed my mind that we are at the mercy of Electricity. Mine was out at home a while back for 30 hours because of storms, but I use library computers anyway.

What a mess ! ! !

I noticed you listed Russia as an alternative.  I find that interesting, could it have anything to do with the fact Putin seems to actually care about his Country.  He is paying his people to repopulate.  If I am not mistaken he is actually distributing the Oil money amongst the people.

While this is taking place in Russia, our President is pleading with the Saudi elite to increase oil production, I believe they said they will do what they want.  I must say I do not put all the blame on Bush in this area, he did try to drill for oil on U.S. soil and was knocked down on that issue by the environmentalists.  Who by the way have been mum on the illegals trashing the border states, I have to wonder about their agenda and how they pick and chose what causes to be vocal about, or is it the coverage given to us by the main stream media, maybe they are the ones who pick and chose what the environmentalists priorities are?

Every time I hear "Give corporate America a tax break"  I think why, so they can open another factory overseas?????

I still do not understand how treason charges have not been brought up on the CFR members and others that have betrayed us?

Who will be next?  This may be a good place to find out how not to go broke, and become 3rd world.

When the Supremes gave Govt the ability to seize (but paying a supposed fair price for it) private property for the use of whatever their whims-I new we were fast and fading as a nation of law and rules.  Imminent Domain has sucked up thousands of houses, plots and acres of ground.  And I believe you all are right about this.  And the real shame is-the Supremes didn't even have an explaination as to why they refused to hear the case!

I've tried to e-mail the Supremes but there's protocal a mile long-just built in to discourage most of us, and you have to snail-mail the letter.  Now there's a group who should be held accountable for their decisions and WE the PEOPLE should be permitted to voice our concerns in a manner that's simple and effective.  But seeing that they're appointed and not elected by us, they feel they shouldn't have to listen to us!   What a POMPOUS, ARROGANT BUNCH OF TRAITORS!!!!!

God Bless the USA and all those who put themselves in harms way to protect and defend
us!

Yes, absolutely. I find it interesting that the two governments American leaders have the most problem with are France and Russia. Both countries unreservedly pursue their own national interests and the interests of their citizens, even at a cost to other countries. In America, it's just the opposite, our candy-wipes in government think of foreigners FIRST and only consider Americans as canon fodder to improve the lives of third worlders. Other reasons for eastern Europe and Russia being possible places to escape is that if Communism did one good thing it at least kept out all the silly notions of "diversity", "multiculturalism", and "affirmative action". Those places are yet to be infected with these poisons. People there still proudly consider themselves Russians, Hungarians, Poles, Czechs and the like and don't feel the need to apologize for their nation's history.
