So let me get this straight.  We are now backing two groups that have waged war against one another for thousands of years and expect violence to be deminished?  Seriously?  This seems like bad policy through and through.  This reminds me about what I read in history books about the Vietmihn and the Vietcong.  Is everyone who is fighting against us there Al Qaida?  This doesn't seems plausible considering there has been resistance of our invasion since the beginning of the war when Al Qaida was not even in Iraq.  If it is a civil war we are in the middle of (which makes since considering the Iraqi's history of power struggle) then does it really make since to give weapons to both sides of the fight?  And what about the Kurds in Iraq?  Are they to be eliminated entirely?  I recently read about Turkey bombing them up north.  What is different between that and Huiseen gassing them?  He saw them as a terrorist group, the turks see them as a terrorist group.  Should we as well?  This whole picture seems quite astounding to me.
