Suspended for 3 days for completely ignoring my warning and continuing the off-topic debate in the "Joel Osteen" thread.

I do not believe the 3 day suspension of John Conner was unfair, nor was it unwarranted or unjust.

John Conner, you were a victim of your own actions. I stated that you could state whatever you wanted to about Mormonism and the CJCLDS. You just needed to do so in the Religious Discussions area, a Private Forum for people willing to listen and respond to any accusation that you wish to throw out there.

The problem came when you decided to ignore my warning about keeping the Joel Osteen thread on topic. and you posted again the very same rhetoric you had tossed out before.

This is what got you suspended.

Now for your actions after the Suspension. We have a system set up for Petitioning myself in cases such as this. I will not accept a claim of ignorance on this matter, as you were quite successful in finding out why you were suspended, thus you could have found out how to petition for reinstatement early.

Instead of sending me a well thought out letter, you instead created a new account. With that new account you then Private Messaged myself and others claiming to be a 'friend' speaking out in support of John Conner.

Unfortunately, Mr. Conner on one of the emails you sent me, you signed it with John Conner instead of with the other name.

I have recieved no less than 6 emails badgering myself for reinstatement, demanding the emails of other moderators and Steve Elliott, claiming you are just a 'victim' of pro - CJCLDS sentiment. You have tried to get others to badger myself and the moderators as well.

These actions are innapropriate and against forum rules.

For setting up a 'puppet' account, and for badgering the Moderators and other members of FS isntead of going through the approiate channels, you have given me no choice but to ban you from Fire Society.

If you have been temporarily suspended and wish to know why, you may visit the Suspensions and Bans forums for information. you may not create a new account for any purpose, including but not limited to, degrading the moderators or administrators, continueing to post while on suspension, etc. If you do this, you will be found and permanently banned, no questions asked.

Hey Dictator Ivy you going to suspend deaf people too? I guess you forgot about the First Amendment.  If people want to have controversial threads then they better expect to have controversy.

No, I don't think it was uncalled for.  I believe in the First Amendment.  If someone is going to  post a  thread about "Joel Osteen on Mormonism they need to expect there will be people that disagree with the Mormon faith.  If you don't like that forum don't go there.   Period!  But don't be a dictator and suspend people that you do not like or have a problem with.

You missed the point HFTD.  Having religious differences is one thing....sitting in judgement and deciding one's own religion is right and the others are wrong.....is WRONG!  If one doesn't want to vote for someone because of their religion, that's their perogative.  But to label that religion a cult or unchristian, etc. is lame.  This is not a government website, and the owners of the site can make any rules they want.  If one doesn't like the rules, they should find another forum whose rules they like....or start their own and set their own rules.

That is your opinion!  But like I said I believe in the First Amendment.  If people are going to have controversy threads then they need to expect that people are going to have differences.  Whether it is in religion or whatever!  If you don't the heat, then stay out of the kitchen.  Stop being cry babies when you don't like what someone posts on a thread.

Yes, people can make any rules they want!  Then they are dictators.

Of course it's my opinion, just like your rant is your opinion.  As I said, having issues with a particular religion is one thing....slamming it and lying about it and proclaiming one's beliefs as the only right belief is another.  To paraphrase your statement, if one doesn't like the rules in one game, find another and quit whining when one's caught breaking the rules of any game.

I am no whining Patsy!  I believe in the First Amendment, and I don't believe someone should get a 3 suspension.  That is my opinion!  Other people have made remarks about people's religion but they don't get a 3 day suspension.  I guess that is OK with FS!  They and you seem it is ok for one, but not for the other.  To me that is two face!

I apologize as this thread was meant to be locked as are all punishment threads.

HftD. - We at Fire Society believe in Free Speech, as well. As long as that speech does not break the rules.

The things John Conner said were inflamatory, and trolling. That is why he was suspended.

I had on my list to re-instate him tomorrow, however he then created a new account so that he could continue to post and visit FS while suspended. For his actions and his actions alone, he was banned.

Hey Lorne, you've been BANNED, stay banned.

You knew the rules, if you want back you petition me, but I can track IPs, and when you sign up and immediately (same day!) ask the Moderators about the very thread that got you banned, you send up flags.

I checked the IPs, and whether you say you're from the Northwest Terretories or not, when your IP shows up just 1 digit off from your old John Conner acc't, then I know it's you.

Stop playing games, You've proven time and again now the rules don't mean anything to you. You insist on creating other accounts to try and sneak back in, but guess what; God says "Be sure you sins will find you out" and they have.
