PM that coding expert SuperPatriot or Patsy or FireWing. They've done some killer graphic work in here!

Not me.....I don't have a clue how to do you tube videos.  I can only post the link to them.  For pictures, I right click and hit copy and paste it in a blank email, then do the procedure again and paste into a message square.  It seems if I paste directly here, it doesn't "take" and only a red square in a box shows up.  There's some other way to do it, but danged if I know how.

Help!

Can anyone tell me how I can paste a picture or insert a UTube video on a thread. I tried using the insert tool about but it asks for a URL.

What if I just want to paste in a photo from my hard drive?

Pictures paste in as a broken link.

For UTube I can only insert the link but hot the actual video.

Veyes,

For posting a picture, if you have it, you need a place on the web to store it before you can reference it here. So, if it's on your hard drive, find some storage on the web. I thought I read a thread here and someone mentioned free web storage?

As for You Tube, click on the icon that says You Tube.  In the pop-up window, the Movie ID is the last thing you see in the address. It's usually something like xfj8ffo9 or something just as random. You put this in the Movie ID all by itself.  I forget the size but it's usually the same for all utube videos. You can get the size right from YouTube when you play the video.

Hope this helps?

Ok, here's how I paste pics:

I save them to "my pictures" on my computer.  Then, in the comment box, click the icon with the tree at the top.  When the "insert/edit image" box opens, click on the little icon on the "image url" line.  A new window will open.  At the bottom of that window click on "browse".  Choose a picture from your collection and click on it.  Then click on "upload".  Click on your pic in the new window and the url will appear in the "insert/edit image" box.  Click on "insert" and your pic will appear in the comment box.

It looks complicated, but it's not. (I can do it).

Now, if you want to insert a moving graphic:

Right click on the graphic.  Click on "properties".  When that box opens, copy the url.  Open the tree icon in your comment box and paste the url.  Click on "insert".

Now for the Utube videos:

When you find the video you want to copy on "youtube.com", copy only the last set of numbers and letters after the equals sign "=" in the website url.  Click on the "YouTube" icon at the top of your comment box and paste it in the "movie ID" line in that box. (you don't have to worry about size)  Click "insert".  A yellow box with "YouTube" in the middle will appear in your comment box.  When you click "go", you will see the video in your post.

Don't forget you can preview your post by clicking on the icon on the right hand side of the icons in the comment box on the very end.

Having trouble embedding/customizing the color of border around video. Does anyone know on a apple how you successfully do this. After I highlight embed/customize and paste-it only saves to my computer. Where do they want is to paste this to to customize? Does it take a while. Ty
