Per the RioGrande Guardian the great Mayor of Brownsville Texas has refused the government survey team access to city property. He has been quoted in saying "Just because it's the government doesn't mean we can't stand up to it. We will stand up to opponents in any way we have to to stop (the) building of the wall."   He also is quoted as saying "It's being built to appease middle America"  and  "Symbolically it's the wrong message to send to our neighbors"   Who does he think he is? The people have spoke Mr. Mayor! By the way his email is mayorahumada@cod.us

There is a major problem in Texas and the attitude of land ownership vs the security of our nation. It seems that 40 landowners refuse to listen in anyway to the government in negotiations for a fence being built on their land. They say that in building a fence they will no longer have access to the water of the RioGrande for their crops and cattle. I tell you BIG RAT'S ASS. As long as we have been a country, people have lost their land to eminent domain, and for reasons that leave you scratching your head. We can't feel sorry for you when you can buy pumps, and drill wells. And at this point it's 40 against a nation.

So you have to ask these "citizens" of Texas, are you in are are you out? Because if you want out, maybe we can build the fence around you and you can become citizens of Mexico.

The federal government uses emminant domain for malls but not for the security of the country.  Where's the hurricanes when you need them?

Brownsville should have all State and Federal funding stopped immediately. Mr. Mayor should move back to Mexico !
