Majority Want Illegals to Get Services

This story was on Newsmax--obviously another Media joining LaRazza and their propaganda.Those with whom I associate want one thing---deportation.   When I see service men coming home with no legs, arms, etc.... and they have to depend on private sources to even get them a wheelchair once they return home---you damn right I want all services to these criminals ended.   I can even become more angry seeing how the families  of these military men are having to skate by on the meager crumbs the government sees fit to give them.   My next action will be to ask the Newsmax staff if in fact Mexican illegals were the ones participating in this poll---and I will follow that remark by telling them what they can do with their lying propaganda.

Most Americans favor providing illegal aliens with social services and offering them a path to citizenship, a Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll reveals.   But one-third of those surveyed want to deny such services as public schooling and emergency room healthcare to illegal immigrants.   Only 22 percent of the more than 1,200 respondents said that illegal aliens should be able to get driver’s licenses, and just 12 percent said illegals should be allowed to pay discounted in-state tuition at public colleges.   However, a majority support a proposal discussed in Congress that would create a path to citizenship for illegal aliens already in the U.S., the Times reported.   Under the proposal, illegals could gain citizenship if they have no criminal record, register with the Department of Homeland Security, pay a fine, learn English and meet other requirements. Among Democrats polled, 64 percent support the plan, as do 62 percent of Republicans. © 2007 Newsmax. All rights reserved.

Look at where this came from.  The Los Angeles Times and Bloomberg.  They don't come any more left wing liberal than that.  I'm sure the people they asked were illegals them selves toting their fake ID's and SS#'s.

Darren77th:  My sentiments exactly.  What can you expect from the LA Times.  This is hogwash and we all know it.  I found a Quinnipiac poll today that says Ohio voters overwhelmingly back stricter enforcement of immigration laws.  And we all know that Ohio isn't a border state.  But the real kicker here is that the poll also showed that 18% of voters thought Hillary Clinton would do the best job on the issue of illegal immigration while 9% thought Guiliani would do the best job and another 9% thought Obama  would do the best job on this issue.  Now how in the world can you be so concerned about the problem of illegal immigration and vote for any of the three mentioned?  That is the very reason we are in the mess we are in.  People just don't check out the candidates well enough.

When this subject came up for a vote (amnesty for illegals otherwise known as immigration reform) THE PEOPLE shut down the phone system at the congressional offices with demands that the bill fail.

This is the same bull.... that they still use on the people of CA.  They say that the people of CA did not support Prop 187 or that they thru the Republicans out of office because of it - but the FACT (sorry sometimes facts do get in the way of lies) is that Prop 187 (to keep illegals from getting public services) passed overwhelmingly by the voters and was held up in the court system and Gov Gray Davis was "recalled" because he was instrumental in keeping it from becoming the law that all of the American Citizens of CA wanted it to be.

Same here - the NYT and the LAT and all the  other papers and news outlets say that American's are for giving illegals services, because they think if they keep repeating it and people think "well everyone else says it's ok" then it will get in the American's physic and they will just go along like puppets (think the build up to the war in Iraq when no one challenged anything and if they did they were called unpatriotic).

BUT I don't think this is going to work this time.  I mean we have Glenn Becks book as #1 on the NYTimes list and he goes on and on all about the NAU and the SPP and the Amero and the real reason for the open borders.

Someone has to be reading all those books.

Which majority was it? A Congressional majority? It certainly wasn't the majority of people in my neighborhood or circle of friends! What's more - nobody asked us!

What a crock that poll is!  Maybe they only polled the bleeding heart Hollywood types -- I'm sure they'll take care of the illegals!
