We need to get on this folks!  Just received this e-mail.

There is a bill in Congress to fund the racist, anti-American, anti-assimilation, pro-illegal, and pro-Hispanic
takeover of the US organization La Raza. This bill asks the American people to spend 5 million dollars in 2008
and 10 million a year for each fiscal year thereafter to fund La Raza.  NOTHING LIKE GIVING THE HANGMAN
THE MONEY TO HELP HANG YOURSELF.
To read the bill click on the following link:  Hope Fund Act of 2007 (Introduced in House) [H.R.1999.IH]
After reading the bill, phone, fax or email your Representative and politely ask him/her not to co sponsor this bill and when
H.R. 1999 comes up for a vote, to vote "NO" against it, that you do not want your tax money funding any organizations that
advocate open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.

I called and left a message as no one was there to pick up the phones (it was 8:25 so perhaps they don't come in until 9:00?).

I told him to vote NO!  I think the American people are smart enough to decide which "charities" they want to give to instead of having our Federal government tell us who we "have" to give to.

Oh, I also sent this to Numbers USA and told them this should have a FAX / Call alert sent out.  Sometimes it takes them up to 3 days to respond so I hope they get it in time.

We all need to send letters to editors of papers.  I know most, mine included, won't print anything against illegal aliens but somewhere out there some paper might do so.  Everyone in America needs to know that our own government is subsidizing illegal alien supporters with our tax dollars.  I hope Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck and all the others who support us will jump on this hot and heavy also.  I've already contacted my representative but I can just about guarantee you that he will vote yes.

Not this again, What is the status of this now, its been in commitee for along time now, I think they had tried to attach it to another bill a couple of months ago and then took it out. They have wanted to give La Raza this money for quite awhile, I'll call and e-mail my reps.

i too cjbl contacted numbersusa back on nov.11 on this hope fund act and was advise by jermey that it fell outside their jurisdiction that this kind of thing concerned them and that they would follow the story. he felt it was unlikely it would pass. i wouldn't bet my life on it with a house full of democrats.  i had called brian bilbray's office to find out how the investigation on the vote to recommit that would have prohibited funds in the agricultural appropriations bill going to illegal immigrants. bilbray's clerk advised me that i would be surprise at how much money is given away to groups like this all the time, she further said that she had seen a 1/2 billion dollars given to a group. i replied,  taxpayer dollars how does this happen? "WELL, BECAUSE THE MAJORITY ARE DEMOCRATS IN THE HOUSE"!,  she replied. since she is right that the majority are dem's maybe we could call the dem's listed as co-sponcers on the SAVE act in the house since they are now so concerned about border security and e-verify, maybe they should be concerned that taxpayers dollars not go to fund groups that use said money's to file lawsuits everytime we try to enforce immigration laws.
