Where are all the outraged Tennesseans over the governor of Tennessee building a party bunker next to the governor's mansion, in which he doesn't even live?  Now he is saying the state is in the middle of a budget crisis.  I would be willing to bet that within the next 12 months, we will start hearing talk of instituting an income tax in our wonderful state.  Everyone in the state should be staying on top of this.  I must admit that I voted for Phil Bredesen, because at the time I considered him to be an admirable governor during his first term in office.  But now, it seems he has gone from being decent to be incompetent.  We now have a budget shortfall, taxes on cigarettes have been raised in the name of education, (which I might add the lottery was supposed to have taken care of), and he wants to build a party bunker to entertain.  Listen to 99.7 WTN between 9am and 1 pm.  Michael Delgiornio talks about it frequently.

I am afraid I am not familier with this party bunker you speak of. There hasn't been any news of it here in East Tenn. that I know of. Exactly what is it

This story was exposed around November of last year.  It was all over the news and radio.  How old are you?  Do you listen to any talk radio?

Unfortunately, you are most likely correct in saying that is appears to be a done deal.  I do find it odd that you have not heard about this.  The taxpayers of Tennessee should be furious that their tax dollars will be funding at least some part of the construction of this bunker, which as I stated in my previous post, said governor does not even live in the governor's mansion.  While there is most likely nothing that can be done about it, the citizens of Tennessee should know what is going on in their backyard, and let their voice be heard.

As you said, if it's all over the news< i'm sure most tennesseens have heard of this. Just because my head is stuck up my... well never mind, if most people have heard, I am sure they are outraged but our only recourse seems to be the ballot box

Since Bresden is not up for re-election what can you do. In case you are really interested, I am 62 and have seen much of this type of stuff in my life.

Hey, I live in Chattanooga, TN, and this is the first I've heard of it. It hasn't been on the news or in the paper that I'm aware of. And before you ask, no, I don't listen to talk radio, and I'm nearly 60.

Thanks John. I thought I might have been the only one. Maybe it's just us old hippies who aren't in tune with things.

This reminds me of the story that FEMA was building secret underground detention bunkers in the Wayne National Forest. Many of us here in Southeast Ohio asked "where is the proof?" More than one person claimed to see the construction with their own eyes. When asked where the pictures were, the story is a variation on a theme. Thugs in black hooded sweatshirts with FEMA on the back always assaulted the witnessess and smashed or confiscated their cameras.

Reminds me of one of my favorite songs by the Bellamy Brothers, He's an old hippie.

Yea, Disvet you gotta watch FEMA all the time. First the're not where they need to be.even if they been told they aren't needed, then they show up where they aren't wanted, building dentention centers. Who were they supposed to be detaining anyway?

And yea John I'm still trying to make sense of it all before I just fade away. But damn if it ain't hard to keep up with it all sometimes.
