This guy is a British engineering professor who has provided links to all available media stories that have blamed things, no matter how silly on global warming,(Gorbal Warning).  They are in alphabetical order & links to the actual 600+ fairy tales, ...er stories should work.  It is listed on The American Thinker Blog & read on the air by Rush Limbaugh last Thursday.  Have fun!

Everything is Caused by Global Warming (600+ links)

Christopher Alleva
Dr. John Brignell, a British engineering professor, runs a website called numberwatch. He has compiled what has to be the most complete collection of links to media stories ascribing the cause of everything under the sun to global warming.  He has already posted more than six-hundred links.

The site's stated mission is to expose all the "scares, scams, junk, panics and flummery cooked up by the media, politicians, bureaucrats and so-called scientists and others that try to confuse the public with wrong numbers"  Professor Brignell's motto is "Working to Combat Math Hysteria."

This exercise is not merely a lark to show the abject absurdity of this global warming nonsense. Brignell wrote a great book titled  Sorry Wrong Number, The Abuse of Measurement on this very subject.

Dr. Brignell is accepting additions to the list so if you have any send them along.

Wouldn't it be just glorious if it WAS a hoax and we could keep on burning at a CO2 production rate twice that of nature until all the oil and coal are gone, along with the ice caps and glaciers?  Don't worry, the usable soil and most groundwater will also be gone, along with most people (and their support species).

The sad thing is that it will happen.  They are the globalists with the money and power, and want to make every last penny they can, while they can.  There will be insufficient things done, and too late for mitigation to a runaway methane feedback loop.  So many, so selfish to the point of sinfulness, so ignorant............... done in by sewer gas.

It IS a hoax. It's the biggest scaled LIE by the Liberals and some Conservatives in world history. It's a scare tactic by the Left to get YOU, the people to depend on them to CONTROL us and you.

Why is it a hoax? Very simple--God is in control. Why hasn't the Liberals like Algore (all one name.) see it that way? I am relieved to know that God will never let us fry and that this Global Warming baloney is not true by a mile.

Isn't man magnificent that in just 30 short years, man, armed only with SUV's & industry can repair the damage & solve the problem of global cooling & the impending ice age that the kooks of the 70's warned us about!!!?

Global warming is a dangerous hoax.  It is and will be used to control us through taxes and regulations.  The UN is using it to get the US to give money (billions) for global warming.  Third world countries are being denied electricity because it may increase global warming actually causing deaths in the medical facilities.

This is number 2 on my list of important issues behind immigration control.  I would like to see the candidates questioned on the subject at the debates.  It's not just about conserving energy.

Very well stated BobbyXD9....I remember the gloom and doom of the 70's all too well. I also remember the huge concern about the BIG gas guzzling cars made back then....look what we have returned to 30 years later...BIG gas guzzling cars! For millions of years glaciers have melted and elsewhere they have grown. Fossils of "tropical" flora and fauna have been found at the north pole proving at one time that it had a totally different environment.

Has it escaped these people that the earth is currently on a "polar" tilt and this type of phenomenon has a tendency to "alter" climate?

This doesn't mean we STOP recycling, or trying to save what is left of the rain forests in the Amazon....plant trees or monitor companies that expel toxic waste into our air and ground water. Man has an impact YES....but as Bobby pointed out, only GOD knows when the end days will come and HOW it will happen.  ALL THE WORLDS A STAGE AND WE ARE MERELY PLAYERS!

Everything is cyclic......it has been for millions of years...this planet has ALREADY faced 5 major extinctions and all prior the arrival of man. KT ALONE 65 million years ago wiped out almost EVERY specie on the planet.

So how will the 6th EXTINCTION occur? Meteorite? Volcanoes? Nuclear holocaust?

Global warming is no hoax.  Just look at the very un-natural decrease of 35% of arctic summer ice in the past 7 years.  I don't know why all the posts were deleted.   I think the list of 600 sites is excessive.  Sure there are probably plenty of phonies there, yet the preponderance of data and scientific opinion is that this effect is real, dangerous, and should be dealt with quickly.

There used to be Artic dinasaurs in Austrailia millions of years ago and it was their driving SUV's that caused Austrailia to warm.  Somebody would have to be blind or illiterate and ignorant or outright stupid to believe the GLOBAL WARMING LIE.  How can you have many ICE AGES if you don't have many WARMING AGES?  Pure Ignorance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Too much castout juice maybe?

Let's not forget that the Martians must be driving SUV's as well since the temperature of Mars is increasing also!!  If these morons really believe that these hoaxters KNOW EXACTLY what the temperatures were 100,000, 1000, or even 100 yrs ago to be able to "prove" that it is up .08 degrees today, then I have some great property  in Fla & a wonderful bridge in NY that I'd like to sell them!!  Historically, increases in carbon dioxide have FOLLOWED rises in temperature, not the other way around.  What they have managed to do is to declare that with carbon dioxide being a "polutant" that government must control, they have granted themselves the right to regulate who breathes & how much.  Stay tuned for a tax on breathing!!

Bullsh*t.  Even if were true, there is absolutely no credable evidence that man has anything to do with it.

Imagine how clean the air could be if the anti-American lefties didn't block the use of clean, nonpoluting nuclear power.  Think of all the coal & oil that would not have to be burned if they weren't more interested in halting capitalism then the environment!  Also, the Steppe region of Utah sits atop the world's largest deposit of low sulphur coal, the cleanest thing we can burn for power.  Guess why we can't mine it, their buddy Sick Willie turned the area into a National Park.  Why?  Because the world's second largest of coal is in Indonesia & owned by big-time Clinton contributors the Riady Family.

Enviro-wackos are nothing about the environmnet but all about the demise of America & capitalism.  Every sane human is interested in protecting our air, water & land to keep them clean but these clown take the eugenics approach, like their crazy liberals before them.

It's funny to me how some of the same people who don't trust the government or people in media to tell the truth about anything are all up in arms about global warming.  It's just another lie created to allow more control over us and make us pay more money to "fix" it.

Everything is cyclical.

We all know that mankind must learn how to adjust his usage of natural resources including wildlife and forestation. The earth's human population is increasing exponentially, and that DOES have an effect on my first sentence. Wildlife unless conserved and preserved is deminishing. Also, factor in the newest and rapidly changing technologies available to almost everyone now, and this compounds the usage of said resources. Of course the Almighty is in control, but it doesn't mean that miraculously the tuna population will suddenly increase or that the coral reefs of the world will also miraculously regenerate. We have the God given knowledge to place under control and conserve and use wisely what has been given to us by our Creator and make it last and regenerate as necessary. Do we really believe that once the last elephant has been slaughtered for its tusk that miraculously another elephant will just evolve? Yes cloning and genetic splicing may play a role in keeping species alive, but we'll need a heads up here too. Shades of "Blade Runner." Much of the problem rests in that one nation wants to blame another for the decreasing resources which is emphasized solely to gain power and not resolve the issues. Even so, it truly is a global issue. WE ALL LIVE ON THE SAME PLANET. Ergo we need to take our blinders off and realize we CAN do progressive things to ensure future generations the marvels and joys of this awesome creation given to us by God. Or, we can continue this power grab ensuring this spiraling downward in hopes that the end will be near and we'll just be raptured out of here.

This article should alay some fears about the subject:

Carbon Dioxide and Global Warming
Where We Stand on the Issue

C. D. Idso and K. E. Idso
Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change

There is little doubt the air's CO2 concentration has risen significantly since the inception of the Industrial Revolution; and there are few who do not attribute the CO2 increase to the increase in humanity's use of fossil fuels.  There is also little doubt the earth has warmed slightly over the same period; but there is no compelling reason to believe that the rise in temperature was caused by the rise in CO2.  Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that future increases in the air's CO2 content will produce any global warming; for there are numerous problems with the popular hypothesis that links the two phenomena.

A weak short-term correlation between CO2 and temperature proves nothing about causation.  Proponents of the notion that increases in the air's CO2 content lead to global warming point to the past century's weak correlation between atmospheric CO2 concentration and global air temperature as proof of their contention.  However, they typically gloss over the fact that correlation does not imply causation, and that a hundred years is not enough time to establish the validity of such a relationship when it comes to earth's temperature history.

The observation that two things have risen together for a period of time says nothing about one trend being the cause of the other.  To establish a causal relationship it must be demonstrated that the presumed cause precedes the presumed effect.  Furthermore, this relationship should be demonstrable over several cycles of increases and decreases in both parameters.  And even when these criteria are met, as in the case of solar/climate relationships, many people are unwilling to acknowledge that variations in the presumed cause truly produced the observed analogous variations in the presumed effect.

In thus considering the seven greatest temperature transitions of the past half-million years - three glacial terminations and four glacial inceptions - we note that increases and decreases in atmospheric CO2 concentration not only did not precede the changes in air temperature, they followed them, and by hundreds to thousands of years!  There were also long periods of time when atmospheric CO2 remained unchanged, while air temperature dropped, as well as times when the air's CO2 content dropped, while air temperature remained unchanged or actually rose.  Hence, the climate history of the past half-million years provides absolutely no evidence to suggest that the ongoing rise in the air's CO2 concentration will lead to significant global warming.

Strong negative climatic feedbacks prohibit catastrophic warming.  Strong negative feedbacks play major roles in earth's climate system.  If they did not, no life would exist on the planet, for some perturbation would long ago have sent the world careening into a state of cosmic cold or horrendous heat; and we know from the fossil record that neither of these extremes has ever occurred, even over billions of years, and in spite of a large increase in the luminosity of the sun throughout geologic time.

Consider, in this regard, the water vapor that would be added to the atmosphere by enhanced evaporation in a warmer world.  The extra moisture would likely lead to the production of more and higher-water-content clouds, both of which consequences would tend to cool the planet by reflecting more solar radiation back to space.

A warmer world would also mean a warmer ocean, which would likely lead to an increase in the productivity of marine algae or phytoplankton.  This phenomenon, in turn, would enhance the biotic production of certain sulfur-based substances that diffuse into the air, where they are oxidized and converted into particles that function as cloud condensatio
