It was reported on KFI 640 AM Los Angeles that there will be a hearing on the Ramos & Compean imprisonment.  Newly release documents that were formerly sealed, and kept from the jury by Johnny Sutton, indicate Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila made subsequent drug runs into the United States after being shot.  This information was kept from the jury during the trial of Ramos and Compean, and would most probably have exonerated them.

Unfortunately there are no transcripts of the interview with the father-in-law of Ramos today that were available.  If anyone can find the particulars on this could you please post them?

Alleged smuggler shot by BP agents arrested on smuggling charges

Posted: Nov 15, 2007 04:32 PM MST

EL PASO - The man at the center of a case that ultimately sent two Border Patrol agents to prison has been indicted and arrested on a drug smuggling charge, U.S. Attorney Jimmy Sutton said.

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested Osvaldo Aldrete Davila at the Ysleta Port of Entry on an earlier indictment of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana and with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Officials identify Davila as the suspect whom former Border Patrol agents Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos shot while he fled across the border into Mexico.

The agents shot him in the buttocks as he fled, but got rid of crucial evidence and failed to report the incident as required.

Ramos and Compean are serving 11- and 12-year federal prison sentences, respectively.

They later found a load of marijuana in a van that Aldrete had used to try to elude them.

At the time, Sutton said there was no proof to tie the drugs to Aldrete so he could not prosecute him. Sutton said he worked to secure the indictment against Davila using new evidence from the DEA.

TO BAD THEY CAN'T GET SUTTON FOR SOMETHING!!!!!!!!

They can go after him for prosecutorial misconduct, or something like that.  He could lose his license and job, but I don't think they could get him for a crime.

Dobbs said it on his show last night , that he's been arrested Again !

FWIW , they can stick Sutton and his team of Commie under a cold cold rock.

good luck to Ramos and Compean . i feel safe in saying . If they where not working in Suttons area no evidence would have been covered up . Sutton is a Terroist to the Border Patrol agents . on the Mexican take or just plain a Commie . Makes little diffence to me if you don't DEFEND your own !

How is Sutton going to talk his way out of this one, or is anyone even going to ask him to defend or justify his (in)actions!

All I can say is that I surely hope that Ramos and Compean get Pardoned once and for all.

tencz said what I said on another thread and I agree. I think Sutton is a terrorist for sure. I'd love to see the hammer fall on him. What a box he now has himself in, or is someone going to get him out of it? I won't mention any names......grrrrrrrrrr

I hope Ramos and Compean are RELEASED before Christmas. Is there someone OVER Sutton's head that we could all write and call to tell them we find their conduct BEYOND TREASON with regard to the treatment of Ramos and Compean? I want these jerks to be POUNDED with phone calls and emails by WE THE PEOPLE!

Excessive force my BUTT! It is OUR country! And to top it all off...today in the USA TODAY they had an article about giving drivers license to illegals here in the States. If you as an American were to have to live in Mexico- you must PROVE citizenship as a Mexican or - NO DRIVER'S LICENSE!

I haven't voiced my opinion here in a long time but my feelings remain the same. I feel Border Patrol Agents Ramon and Compean were wrongfully convicted and are in prison for simply doing their jobs. I felt this way then and my feelings haven't changed that they should be exonerated and released from prison. They have already suffered too much and missed time with their families and that is a travesty of justice. They deserve better than being pardoned, they deserve to be exonerated and this  conviction should be overturned.

This was done to Intimidate the Border Patorl and Anyone else that might try to enforce American laws.

It is a sad day in America when we allow our Government to destroy our Nation, and allow a President to become a dictator.

LATEST FROM ABPWhere Did Bush Get These Guys?
DHS IG Targeted Agents

DHS Inspector General Richard Skinner
Laura Ingraham Sitting In for O'Reilly November 16
Laura Ingraham: Tara, wasn't there some incident where a DHS official or officials briefed members of Congress and said something like the agents got up in the morning and said oh we feel like shooting a Mexican today and it turned out to be totally fabricated to members of Congress?
Tara Setmayer (Comm. Dir. For Rep. Dana Rohrabacher): That's correct. Actually Homeland Security Inspector General Richard Skinner has gotten a free pass on this for the most part because all of the focus has been on Johnny Sutton. But Richard Skinner's office they're actually the most culpable. They're the ones who are responsible for the investigation in the first place. Christopher Sanchez, the Homeland Security Inspector General investigator who went into Mexico, looked for Davila he's the one who delivered this immunity the flawed immunity agreement that no one seems to know the kind of immunity agreement it was.

Someone was belly aching about the two Texas Senators....and you are right!   They are completely worthless!   Hutchison doesn't lie as smooooothly as Cornyn, so she's got everyone's attention the most....for being worthless!

Last Satuarday hotshot Rep. Culberson was in Houston....had a big meeting in town.  Culberson's on TV a lot w/ Ted Poe from Houston and Dana Rorbacher from CA.   They are definitely good Joes and carrying the flag for us.

At last Saturday's meeting Culberson mentioned Hutchison twice and met w/ a whole audience of boos.....which tickled me to death.   Means they definitely have her number!   Wonder if it surprised Culberson?  You know, you don't know what your people think unless you habla w/ them.  (:

LETS FACE IT THAT SUCKER, BUSH, WILL NOT LET ANYONE TELL HIM WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. LOOK AT HIS HISTORY!!

Agents' pardon urged of Bush

By Sara A. Carter
November 19, 2007

Top conservatives have joined ranking House leaders in their bid to pressure the president to pardon two Border Patrol agents imprisoned for the nonfatal shooting of a Mexican drug smuggler in El Paso, Texas, in 2005.

In a letter that was delivered today to the White House, 31 major conservative petitioners joined a campaign led by Rep. Duncan Hunter, California Republican and presidential candidate, asking President Bush to pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean before Thanksgiving.

The letter comes on the heels of the arrest of admitted drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila on charges of trafficking marijuana while he was profiting from the federal immunity deal as the star witness in the shooting case against the agents.

"History has proven that the mere words and deeds of a president can change the course of history and profoundly affect both the tone and direction of the nation's moral character for generations to come," said the letter signed by 31 petitioners, mostly from Christian conservative groups and national-security organizations.

My question is this:

How can "Jorgie-Porgie boy" pardon a fricking turkey for Thanksgiving (and it will be carried by all the media outlets!) but not extend the same to Ramos and Compean? What's wrong with that bloody picture? Yell

Glenn Beck had a segment on the Ramos-Campean appeal tonight.  A lady from Congressman Rohrbacker's(sp) office was on.  She said this goes all the way to the White House.

There is a report that ties to this on www.arkansasfreedom.com that will just knock your socks off.  It is quite lengthy.  Title : Prosecutorial persecution

He says "I was informed by a federal prosecutor a number of years ago, this during Bush’s regime, Federal Prosecutors were banned from taking any prosecutorial action unless it came straight from Washington.   "
