This just pisses me off.  We fight and scrape for every penny in a disappearing middle class society while these guys spend, spend, spend.  This is the epitemy of a legend in one's own mind.

Born and raised in CALIFORNIA.....It will always be California, NOT Aztlan

We might as well get used to it because to get rid of earmarks it would have to be legislated and we all know they aren't going to legislate anything against themselves.  Kind of like refusing to give themselves a pay raise.  It ain't gonna happen.  When I watched the Senate debating the transportation bill Tom Coburn tried to get an ammendment passed that would stop all earmarks until our bridges were all deemed to be fixed and safe.  The ammendment was defeated.  The money was allocated for a Peace Garden in N. Dakota, a ball park in Montana and a bikepath in Missouri among others.  I'm sure this made the families of those lost in the bridge collapse in Minnesota feel very happy.  This is just another example of how much the citizens of this nation mean to our elected representatives.

Ridiculously obscene use of American taxpayer dollars!

Pork is now being called an earmark. Let's face it - fat is fat! Self-aggrandizement is rampant in Washington or rather any political establishment. They have raised themselves up to the status of American royalty - the very establishment our country fought against over 200 years ago. They believe themselves to be the smartest people in the country and look down on anyone not in their circle.

I believe the legal American voting taxpayers should call for a MORATORIUM on unnecessary spending unrelated to the actual running of the country.  No monies should be allocated to any new projects that are not necessary to our defense or the DIRECT welfare of our country and its CITIZENS. No bills should be allowed to be passed with addendums that are not related to the actual bill. No tack-ons!

Our government has run up an enormous debt through which we have sold ourselves out to suspect nations who now intend to buy us out a piece at a time. The presidential complaint that congress is not passing the spending bills fast enough is suspect. We all know what happens when you spend more than you have. But its OK for them because they know where they can get more - at least until we are all outsourced.

Time to remember Thomas Jefferson and "TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION IS TYRANNY"!
