This one I learned from Cybercast News that Fred Thompson, the one I once saw as the next Ronald Reagan favors abortion. This kills any chances for him to have any chance in defeating Hillary for the White House which must stay out of Liberal hands.

So,that just about nearly wipes out any possible chance of us Conservatives of having a solid foundation in defeating the Left.

Read cnsnews.com to read the disappointing news. Fred, so long.

Not true:

Traditional American Values

Protecting Life
Fred Thompson is pro-life. He believes in the sanctity of human life and that every life is worthy of respect. He had a 100% pro-life voting record in the Senate and believes Roe v. Wade was a bad decision that ought to be overturned. He consistently opposed federal funding to promote or pay for abortion and supported the Partial Birth Abortion Act, the Child Custody Protection Act, and President Reagan’s “Mexico City” policy. While Fred Thompson supports adult stem cell research, he opposes embryonic stem cell research. He also opposes human cloning.

I read it--I am depressed. If it proves out (I am suspicious of one report) I will never vote for him. Betweebn that and his CFR membership I am wondering if I can get my contribution back.

Come on guys!  I saw the interview.  Fred is a Federalist - he's merely saying it is a state matter - not a federal matter.  Please go back and read the article - Fred comes through loud and clear as to where his heart is!  He's against abortion!  He even stated something to the effect that others may not agree with everything he believes, meaning some states given the chance might uphold Roe v. Wade!  That's all - keep the feds out of the states' business.  If you're looking for a 100% perfect candidate that is 100% in line with your soul, it ain't gonna happen anyway!  Keep an open mind!
