Rules of the Forum

Again - I bring this up as it appears now more than ever - the rules of the FS forum are not being adhered to.   MANY posts are being deleted while others that CLEARLY break the forum rules remain.   Moderators appear to be joining in on the rule breaking.   People are leaving FS because of the constant back and forth of a small select few who really only troll and post very little in terms of support for their candidate OR facts surrounding issues.  I came here to learn about the issues and the candidates running in 08... 

It is MORE than obvious there is a strong backing of two particular candidates on this site - and am appalled that many continually throw personal attacks on supporters of one of those TWO candidates. 

It seems since one member posted a 'poll' on this site - and now many do not like the results - they have ratched up their attacks.  Enough, folks.

Mods are afraid to take on "FredHeads" that break forum rules because they will claim it's a RonBot conspiracy against them and that FireSociety should be renamed "RonBotSociety." Mods are afraid to take on Ron Paul supporters that break forum rules because it would seem like a double standard given that there are much more Ron Paul supporters than there are Fred Thompson supporters. What I ask is for rules to be enforced equally. Mods, if a rule is broken, call out that forum member; do your job. Quite frankly, I have found reprehensible behavior from both sides. I understand that mods do not want to get in between two conflicting sides, but if they are unwilling to do just that, then they should not be mods.

 

The forum rules are also problematic, given that they are too general, which leaves mods unsure about when to take action. Sean has stated that he will enhance the forum rules to be more specific; I hope he gets to that.

Dom, That is my point EXACTLY - rules are not enforced uniformly.  Some mods delete posts that are off topic - or they are deleted b/c one feels that it may not 'jive' with the thread starter's reason for starting the thread (even if the topic is the same as the title)... 

Someone mentioned Sovereign Man, Ms. Bobbie, Ronpaul08 or levot as being mods.... Dom, you would also make a good mods - as balancing it out is paramount to ensure fairness. 

The rules are general - however, it is clear that trolling is not allowed - which in fact...is it allowed.

The Ron Paul Moderator thread is gone. I did it. Why? Because of all the B.S. that is going on. I never ever threatened anyone on here. BTB is attacked, SP, O2CAV and all the Moderators as well. O2 can't even reply to his own thread that he made up because even when he isn't there, you all nail him and anyone that doesn't support Ron Paul.

I am not a mean person and sometimes fall for your trolling methods as in what we call Baiting. I get emails from people showing their a** all the time. I am attacked wherever I go. Why? Because I don't supoort Ron Paulie.

It's ok though. But I will tell you one thing. If these threads don't tone down I will keep deleting them. This Website is ment for good conversation and I don't see that anywhere in the RP threads. I do see it everywhere else and I surely won't share what sites I see with any Ron Paul Supporter because you JUST CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! as Jack Nicholson said in his film.

I can't even make a little joke without being nailed from at least three people on a RP thread. I get attacked. So, what is fair? Us attacking you? Or you attacking us and this goes out to everyone who is at fault.

There will be no more attacking. Politics can get very heated, but please remember. This Website was created first from Grassfire.org and thus here we are with what I thought was a common ground for these illegal aliens and getting Congress to look at this hard. We accomplished that. Why> Numbers is why.We banned together for that one common cause. Now the polls are heating up and if you think we at Fire Society are trying to blast Ron Paul from the polls are nutzo. DC are the ones's to blame. They do it to Tancredo, Hunter, Thompson, Ron Paul, Huckabee, etc. MSM does not give them the air time because they are really told what to do by the elitists.

Now you know the truth, but I doubt you would know the truth if it were staring you in the eyes. Just think about that ok? Let's stop the bickering and play nice once again please. Take the funny things and let it go, laugh, have a good time. Why be angry all the time is my question? Sleep on it before you reply ok?

We are human just like you and are doing what we are supposed to to the best of our ability.

Almost all my emails and faxes through Grassfire have been in support of Grassfire's stand against illegal immigration and for enforcement of laws, along with where's the fence and getting the borders and coasts secured, especially in this time of war. I have also supported Grassfires's stand against SPP.

I see only three candidates who are in line with most of Grassfire's stands honestly, and of record. Grassfire, with NumbersUSA, and a few others offered the massive campaigns of faxes, calls, and emails which helped defeat the amnesty and other liberal/RINO anti-American legislative attempts.  We need to keep our heads together, because sneaky attempts are contantly being made, even at blocking various local and national grassfire type efforts.  The hardest to deal with are the Presidential orders like Clinton's to pay free health care for illegals, or the legislating from the bench of mis-interpretation of the 14th Amendment to the eminent domain property rights losses. 

We can barely blink or get a night of rest,  without more attacks on our liberty and sovereignty, with lying and PCism running amok.  I look at Grassfire as a weapon of good, for the America of now and the future.  Disinformation, stubborness, name calling and rambling repetetiveness are counter productive.

Deerhunter, you have a fabulous way of cutting through the crap!!  Thank you!!  I think you've said what many are thinking. Some apparently are under the impression this is the Ron Paul Admiration Society and if you don't worship at the altar, you're a heathen, a hypocrite, a traitor, a neocon, a CFR drone, against the constitution, etc.  If they think they are winning over any support for the old man, they are in a rude awakening in just a couple of months!  (Now watch.....I'll be labeled a troll again and a moderator suck up!!) Delete if you must, fine with me.

Patsy I think that part of this endeavor can be a Ron Paul Admiration Society and a Hunter AS, and a Romney AS, and a Huckabee and a Tancredo.  That's not the problem.  Being anti Ron Paul and anti any candidate is the problem if the anti person goes to attack all the other candidates. 

I am not referring to anyone in particular especially not you Patsy.  I'm just saying we should have 10 different interesting conversations going on instead of 10 brawls.  I'm not accusing anyone of anything now because that is all in the past and will not be tolerated in the future by anyone.

Congratulations on stating the facts as they truly are... As far as people leaving FS - yes the people are leaving... With as many members as there are here, not many people will post because they are under attack...
