Maybe you've already seen it; I don't know if its already been posted.
Here's a high lowlight:
"I think the city of Irving has somewhat diminished its deportations," (activist Carlos) Quintanilla said. "That doesn't mean we're happy with the deportations. We want zero deportations, and we want an end to the Criminal Alien Program. We well continue to keep pressuring until it's down to zero or a much smaller number that is acceptable."
Quintanilla said he is planning a boycott of Irving businesses for Nov. 15.
The Mayor also wants to issue ID cards to Mexicans. Can anyone say slippery slope?
I can tell you that when a city enforces the immigration laws the illegals leave in droves.
I live in a small town about 125 miles west of Irving. During the early part of this past summer, the legal residents were outnumbered by illegals in the stores in our little town by as much as 7 to 1.
Then, we got a new police chief that spoke Spanish and enforced the immigration laws. He started turning the illegals over to I.C.E. when they were caught for a traffic violation or other crime.
During the summer an illegal was caught in front of my house about 9 p.m. on a Saturday night. The police chief called I.C.E. immideately upon learning that the Mexican was illegal. (I was there and listened to the conversation the chief had with I.C.E.) The illegal lived with several other illegals across the alley from me. The next morning about 10 a.m. all of those that lived in that house left town.
Now, the legal residents of this town outnumber the illegals in the stores about 20 to 1.
The moral of this story is............. It is not necessarily bad that deportations are decreasing in Irving. The illegals are probably leaving Irving on their own.
