America's perception is that our government has abandoned us - it isn't a perception - it is a REALITY!

Earlier today, during our flurry of activity fighting against the DREAM Act, a web link was posted on FS for a Capitol Hill website that allows interns and staff only to post comments.  I have been looking at it off and on since the web address was posted here, and the more I read the more incensed I have become!

It states that it is "an anonymous, uncensored message board for Hill staffers", and "posts can be made only from Capitol Hill IP addresses."  Unfortunately, whoever developed this site should have given consideration to what might happen when a taxpayer (like me) who pays their salaries (like me) and that of their Congressional bosses (like me) is able to VIEW this inflammatory bulletin board.

It gives Americans even more perspective as to why our dismal perception of our government is deserved - IT IS REAL!

NO - our government does not get the message that they are elected to represent US, and the attitudes of their staff give even more insight that it permeates our government.  Whenever we constantly have to fight to be represented the way we want to be, there is entirely too much contempt toward us!  Time for a change!!

Earlier today during the Senate debate, Senator Sessions made clear to his colleagues that bringing up the DREAM Act again after what the taxpayers told them in June, just showed why the people do not trust their government.  Well, here's more proof!  I plan to email this information to Senators Sessions, as well as Vitter and Cornyn, and ask them to look into this!

Here's the link: http://thecapitolist.com/  I'm guessing many of you won't have time to go there, so I'm also posting some of the key excerpts from many of the disgusting posts I have read now (I've * the expletives):

  • I'm getting out of state Dream Act calls. I love it. :) People I can actually screw with.
  • I love the threats...especially that one guy who thinks he can singlehandedly take a reelection bid away from your boss...The other one I like is the guy that thinks he can just make a phone call and end my job...
  • Please vote against, please do not support, please do all you can
to prevent the following pending bills from passing. All of them are NOT good for our country! All Amnesty bills in any shape or form which are attempted to be attached to other bills. PLEASE, no Amnesty. Secure our borders first.  Anyone else want to go into exile after reading cr*p like this all day?

  • i like the rednecks from the midwest, who havent seen the ocean in 20 years and dont know a thing about maritime travel, who feel the law of the sea steals our sovereignty.

  • I did see however that cloture has been filed on the Dream Act. :) I love pi**ing off the rednecks.

  • Why do stupid people hate America  I have a hard time not laughing at them when they say this.  Stupid people make me laugh...
  • NO ONE IS F**KING SNEAKING IN AMNESTY.   YOU HAVE BEEN CALLING AND BI**HING ABOUT IT FOR MONTHS.   I HAVE TALKED TO THOUSANDS OF YOU.   YOU CAN HATE IT BUT FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD AND HOLY DONT SAY ANYONE IS SNEAKING IT ANYWHERE.  F**K.
  • anyone who was a staff asst in the last few years knows that its the same 100+ people calling/writing about mexicans ad nauseum

Memo to America: We don't care what you have to say, especially when you write in about crazy stuff, write nasty things, and write all the time.

  • If Americans don't phone Tuesday until the switchboard shuts down, it looks like we're going to have a brand new amnesty for illegal aliens coming out of the Senate later this week.  VIA numbers usa..  great.

  • Last week, the Senate voted to protect Sanctuary Cities and their policies to shield illegal aliens. Today, some Senators apparently are declaring the Capitol an illegal-alien sanctuary!

    Again, Numbers USA.

  • I really want to f**k up whoever started Numbers USA.

  • shhhhh... nobody let the public know their mass phone calls, letter writing campaigns, and canned emails are meaningless.  if the public suddenly had to construct thoughful arguments, or read newspapers, or discuss policy, this country would descend into chaos.  Plus, I need a K st job after this that maintains the grand illusion.

  • Numbers USA

F**k you and all of your members too!

  • I hate living in Virginia right now, the only f**king issue on every campaign commercial is about the illegals.  What about the s**t roads, or anything other than a drum beat that the moron that vote can dance to.  What a mess, no wonder this country is in the sh**ter!

  • Don't these old people realize that they NEED mexico?  Where else are they going to get thier cheap meds?

  • Apparently, (as I just learned from a caller) a U.S. Senator represents everyone in the country...not just those who elected him/her. This was from someone out of state so my response was simple, "Umm.........ok"

  • “I call on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency to detain any illegal aliens at this press conference.  Just because these illegal aliens are being used for political gain doesn’t mean they get immunity from the law.”

Wouldn't it be funny if instead of those horrific soul destroying Mexicans that Tancredo hates so much, the illegal aliens were an Irish nun and a German doctor whose visa's expired.

  • if you get calls from people who are going through calling every
senator about the dream act, put them on hold for a while.  if they are
going to call every senator we can at least slow them down and make
    them wait.

Here, here. From this point forward...let this be standard staff asst policy.   Unless they have free long distance, it will cost 'em a lot more money!

  • Someone called pi**ed off about our MoC being in support of the Dream Act. They wanted to know how to go about recalling him. I then informed them that our state...is not one of the 18 in which you can recall a U.S. Senator and that their next opportunity to vote against him would be in 2012. :) Boy that was fun....
  • Is it just me or are the anti-immigrant racist a lot less motivated this time around? I'm in the state office and last time we had all lines busy all day long. Not today...just a little flurry of calls now and then. I feel sorry for the folks in our D.C. office though. They are getting slammed...
  • It's best to cut them (non-constituents) off (if the senator has taken a position) and say that his position, thank you for calling and hang up.

  • i like hanging up on people from out of state.   having them call back all pi**ed off, and then hanging up on em again.

  • Sometimes, if I'm not too busy, I like to have a little fun with them...especially if the caller ID shows me they are from another state. I use http://www.411.com/reverse_phone to get their correct address. So then if they try to lie and give a fake address (one within our state) I will mentioned that, "It looks like you might be calling from _____." Also, I might just make up some name of a fake lake and say, "Well, you must have a wonderful view of lake whatever from there."

...oh and I've also been known to do something else. The really irate ones who refuse to give name or address and do not want a "form letter." ....I look up their info via the phone number and send them a form letter anyway.

  • "my grandchildren are going to grow up speaking spanish and bowing down to Allah."  Really?

It's sad really that in much of the rest of the world being multilingual in consider to be positive...yet here we have so many (racist rednecks) who demonize it.

It's because those folks also happen to be the paranoid isolationist conspiracy theory loons who believe in the North American Union, the NAFTA Super Highway, the One World Order, the Illuminati, bigfoot, and that Elvis is actually alive.

  • Please listen to the people! Vote NO to any immiration resolution that may again be put before the Senate. Do you hear us?

Yep, we hear you, and the right wing a**hole on the radio who got you worked up about the issue moments ago

  • "Behind closed doors" and "cram down our throats" is some of the dumbest rhetoric I've ever heard, and I am a Republican.

  • Mr. Anti-Immigrant Sen. Vitter just made a comment about the Dream Act. He basically said that "billions" of Americans are against  this bill. There are about 300 million Americans....yet he says "billions" of Americans are against it. Moron...

  • Well, maybe he meant all of the billions of undocumented immigrants that are against it too...

  • Why is Sen. Webb reading as if he just completed the 3rd grade?

  • Dream Act cloture vote....the suspense is killing me...

  • Da*n....I wish I could tell how the vote was going.

  • F**k....the Dream Act fails again...

OK - those were excerpts JUST FROM TODAY !  How's your blood pressure?  I plan to lower mine by getting this some exposure - the People need to know!  PLEASE - feel free to copy and paste this and email it widely to others you think might be interested in how bad our government has gotten!

I guess we all know better now what we have been up against - BUT I love the last excerpt - it worked AGAIN!  But enough is enough!

Dream Act cloture vote....the suspense is killing me...

10/24/2007 - 12:34 pm

SENATORS IN GREEN displayed in the list below are consistently telling their
constituents that they will vote NO on the amnesty. But they have
declined to pledge a NO vote to NumbersUSA staff, meaning they still
need more phone calls.

10/24/2007 - 12:31 pm

I wish the Senate had a running on-screen tally of the votes as they happen on C-Span 2 the way the House does on C-Span. Is there a reason for that?

10/24/2007 - 12:29 pm

Why is Sen. Webb reading as if he just completed the 3rd grade?

10/24/2007 - 12:27 pm

Well, maybe he meant all of the billions of undocumented immigrants that are against it too...

Most of these staffers are young right out of college age.  They have not had years of paying taxes and working hard for years but not seeing real gains.  Give them a few years and then require them to speak Spanish and use Pesos, and let the corruption of 3rd world governments take away their rights - that might just wake them up.  Yes, I think some graffiti and gang violence and MS 13 - members living next door with the drug cartel on the other side should do nicely for them.

I sent it to Lou Dobbs and asked him to research this and find out who is behind this.  We'll see if he covers it.

I think it would do them good.

At least they speak English. How long until we have to press 1 for English to get a message to our Senators? Maybe these staffers  need to be reminded that they too may be outsourced.

If this site is legit, and not some prank to yank our chains, I will bet it will be "unavailable" real soon.

If it's not a prank....IT IS A DISGRACE TO EVERYONE, not just us, but it casts an extremely bad light on whomever these idiots are, AND WORK FOR! PATHETIC! Maybe someone should call one of the switchboards tomorrow with a SUPER crazy type question and see if it shows up on that site? Then we could be sure it's legit.

Jim,   I went to the website and went all the way to the bottom.  There was the word contact, so I did.  I was able to e-mail the site.  When I tried to send it wouldn't go through until I changed the word  "(at)" to @.  Try it.  Maybe we can bombard them withhow we feel about their little blogs.

If it's a hoax, it is very elaborate.  The posts there go back for 300 pages, and are dated and timestamped, and the ones I saw (back 20 pages or so) were germane to what was going on at the time!  I think it is real, and just shows what our public servants have come down to at the lowest level.

And Donna, that's an idea.  Guess I'd be worried that they would have a vendetta and mass email me in return.  Let us know when/if/what you hear back!

Nightowl, I like you idea about a kookie question - let's think of one.

Hi all,

I just went to that site and am disgusted at the posts...But here is what I plan on doing ... I am cuttin & pasting some excerpts from this site and will send them to Fox News, Hannity, O'reilly, and maybe some newspapers.

My hope is getting some of this Media attention, and Demand the elected scumbags expalin if this is what 'they tell teir staffers to do? Our Tax dollars pay all their salaries, and we are to be made fools of??

I do not buy Freedom of Speech in this case, as they attack groups of people, how about;

Statehood for Puerto Rico?  Woah, woah, woah.  Let's think about this.  President. Ricky. Martin.10/23/2007 - 2:03 pm
F**k the Ricans
I am asking some of you' all to help get this to the Media, I dont want to have them remove the site before it can be vetted. Any thoughts??

You're on the right track, and THANKS!  Feel free to copy and paste the excerpts Super Patriot and I have already posted (above) - believe me, that will save you a lot of time!

Since you and CJBL are already hitting the media that would/should expose this, my only other thoughts are I'm sending to Sessions, Vitter, and Cornyn, AND I'm emailing it to those on my email list encouraging them to do the same - I think if we all do that, word will spread!

I don't really think our elected officials "tell" their staff to do this - I think staff just might be learning "by example" from their respective mentors!

Just copied Jim's entire post and e-mailed it to all the people in my address book who will, in turn, pass it along to all the people in their address books.  Plan to e-mail it to my local talk radio hosts so it gets local coverage in Dallas.

Hi Jim from Texas---my friend and I took you up on your offer.  We e-mailed Glenn Beck, Joseph Farah, Roy Beck, Jerome Corsi and our Senators. ( I see someone else did as well).

Like Nightowl posted --it may come down soon, but we now have copies and I have a long memory.

As I read some of the comments---my first thought---boy, Ted Kennedy's school of lower learning has certainly made progress with this bunch.  All the left's little double digit IQ minions have really been brainwashed.  You can almost envision them marching around Capitol Hill reciting the left's talking points as they goosestep into work.

I guess they believe their filthy language compensates for their lack of knowledge.
