Hooray  for the internet and a lot of good Americans.

We didn’t need Sean and Rush.

Now for the next shoe to drop---I believe we can fight that too.

REPORT: Tancredo calls out ICE on DREAM students!

This alert was sent out by Rep. Tancredo regarding the staff briefing.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 23, 2007

Tancredo Asks Immigration Authorities to Detain Illegal Aliens Attending Durbin Event in U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Representative Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton) today released a statement regarding an event Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) reportedly plans to hold in conjunction with discussion of the DREAM ACT – an event that will be attended by several illegal aliens.

"I call on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency to detain any illegal aliens at this press conference. Just because these illegal aliens are being used for political gain doesn't mean they get immunity from the law."

"If we can't enforce our laws inside the building where American laws are made, where can we enforce them?"

Tancredo alerted the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency earlier today regarding Durbin's 3:00 PM meeting.

A copy of the announcement sent out from Senator Durbin regarding the meeting is pasted below.

Subject: Briefing on the DREAM Act: TODAY at 3pm in SC-6

Durbin-Hagel-Lugar DREAM Act Briefing : Tuesday , October 23rd at 3PM in SC-6

Senators Durbin, Hagel and Lugar invite you to a staff briefing on S. 2205, the DREAM Act. A cloture vote on the motion to proceed to the DREAM Act will take place this Wednesday morning (tomorrow). The briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23, in SC-6 of the U.S. Capitol.

The DREAM Act would make it possible for certain long-term undocumented immigrant children to go to college or join the military if they meet stringent requirements. It does not address the status of their parents, but simply allows children-who had no choice in the decision to come here-the opportunity to continue their education and give back to the country that they call home.

This bipartisan legislation has passed the Senate Judiciary Committee three times in various forms, and was approved by the Senate last year as part of the comprehensive immigration bill, S. 2611.

The briefing will feature presentations by:

Several students who would benefit from the DREAM Act; Angela Kelley, Director, Immigration Policy Center; Melissa Lazarin, Director of Education Policy, First Focus; Alfred Campos, Federal Lobbyist, National Education Association; Stephanie Grosser, Outreach & Program Coordinator, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society; and Kevin Appleby, U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

This event is for Congressional staff only (no press). For more information, please contact Reema in Sen. Durbin's office.

For more on the DREAM Act, please see the new report from the Immigration Policy Center: http://www.ailf.org/ipc/infocus/ipc_infocus_07dream.shtml .

I feel for the kids but you know they are only being used to further this agenda for more open borders and blending cultures and nations.

I feel more anger towards Mexico,....they know how to keep people down and then send them out,..if they had an ounce of brain useage they might put it to use and fight there government and NOT the AMERICAN people,...maybe one day one of them will get a brain cell that wakes them up to fighting for your own country,..not the one that has them leave Mexico and then wave there flag as if it means so much to them,...yet they come here?...to much paint huffin.

As an American I would never bring my children to another country illegally. Personally, I feel sorry for no one. This Government thrives exploiting others for their personal gain. First they work on the emotions and then they drop the bait. I'm not biting this one. Not ever!

I feel sorry for no one!

There is no reason to sympathize with these children. They've already received a K-12 education paid for by the American taxpayer. Those that Durbin brought in for his dog and pony show have received even more, including undergraduate and graduate educations, also subsidized by American citizens, at some the nation's finest universities. They received slots that should have gone to deserving American citizens.  Now, these kids have received mountains of benefits and, therefore, should be able to return to their own countries and make PILES of money, while benefitting their own people. They should also be able to learn/relearn their native language easily enough, as Durbin and the others assure us that they are so brilliant that we should grovel at their feet and thank them for stealing our tax dollars.

To bad someone didn't march some American children in,..the ones that are living in car's w/ parents,..or the children who are 16 and working two jobs and going to school.....or the parents who are working two job's to put there children through college.

I told all the Senators that I called today they should work with the UN to find out why Mexico keeps treating it's citizens so poorly?

We should have a "human rights violation" investigation on Mexico to find out why they are pushing to have American's subsidize their corrupt government.

I asked Senator Feinstein to put together a bill so that our Federal government investigates why the Mexican government is violating human rights.

Let's see if she does that.
