I thought it would be fun to see who has the most support for the Republican nomination here at the FS. I have posted the candidate's names and the FS members who support them. If I have placed you in the wrong place, please let me know and I will make the change. If you want to add your name to the list, tell me who you support and I will put you in. I left a lot of members off because I did not know where to put them. If you want to be taken off the list let me know as well.

I would like to say Fred Thompson, but right now it would be the former NYC mayor Rudy G. However of course, we Conservatives have no real strong contender that could beat Hillary next November. I have a terrible feeling that the Liberals will take the White House due to two factors which I consider everyday.
1. The Liberal media.
2. Hollywood.
These two factors will go into Overtime to get her in and it just may happen. So, lets fight and fight hard. Let's let our Conservative candidates know to fight hard.
Sean Hannity, the man who understands what America should stand for.
There is an interesting corollary question. "Who among the Republican candidates would you never vote for?" Dr Dobson has said he would not vote for Guliani or some of the top tier and he carries some significant weight. Many on here have said they would never vote for somebody in the CFR. MsBobbie has even gone further and said she could not vote for RP, IIRC. When the question comes up of who could beat Hillary or the democratic nominee if it isn't her, there are many opinions. They seem to say that Guliani or one of the top tier has the best chance to win. I argue that if there are too many folks in the base unwilling to vote for one of the top tier in the general election, then it may be that a second tier candidate has the best overall prospects. How many FDT, McCain, Guliani, Romney supporters say they won't vote for Tancredo or Hunter as a matter of conscience or principle? They always say those second tier candidates can't win, but never say that if one of them would happen to get the nomination, then they would abstain. There are some who have said they won't vote for Paul because they believe he would not defend America against Islamo-fascist terrorists or because he favors ending the war on drugs. But when it comes down to Hillary and a republican nominee, whoever it may be, which republican party candidate would/could you not support with your vote?

Ron Paul is my first choice. Sadly there are only two other candidates other than him who I'd support and they have even less of a chance than he does.
Christianity is anti-war, but you wouldn't know that from Christians: As explained here Truth comes from God, not from government, yet more people these days only listen to the government. Proud member of the group that Michael Reagan and a few FS members want to kill simply because we wish to exercise our First Amendment rights and ask questions: the truth-seekers.

With that attitude no wonder. No offense Maha, but with just a little faith mountains can be moved.
Mr.T., Exactly what is, "None of the Above"? From a post that I read elsewhere here on this forum, none of the above turns out to be Hillary. Yikes! I know, I know, it means not being linked with any of the candidates you've listed. Just wanted to make sure for Blazes sake that it wasn't the New York wicked witch of the north.
MrT! Why didn't you put me on the Ron Paul list?? You know we're all doomed unless Dr Paul, our savior, is the next president.......he's our only hope! (sarc)

Gerald: Blaze stated on another thread that he supported "none of the above". That is a legitimate choice.
Seems to me undecided would be a better answer. Of course I will not deny anyone there freedom. I'm thinking that a no vote this go around, or holding out for a non disclosed third party candidate will be the same as voting for Mrs. Hillary None of the Above. Even Swift Boat Kerry got more votes than Ronald Reagan, and Ronald won by a land slide. So, if Republicans hold out and don't vote, or eventually take a stand for someone that is a third party candidate, then those "No Votes" and 3rders will in essence be votes for Hillary. Is that sound logic? Or am I wrong? Enlighten me.
jerrybiker and marijam, I will mark you down for Ron Paul.
Gerald: I plan on voting for the republican nominee. I will leave undecided and none of the above on the list. I think mudcock would be for "none of the above."

SO glad to see that majority support Ron and Tom...gives me hope for America.
"If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. The loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or imagined, from abroad." -- James Madison
