For a while there it looked like talk radio would be the saving grace of these men that were doing the jobs only Proud American should be doing...What happened it's like the issue fell of the radar Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck still mention it but right when it looked like the pressure was really on Bush and his hitman prosecutor Johnny Sutton all of a sudden the presuure was just gone and there is nothing....this should have been one of those cases like the Amnsety bill where there was no backing off until something was done...Anyone??
Just like 9/11 and a hooker hot for a while and then it is gone from the radar. I will say that our Texas radio station in Dallas and Houston KSEV KCVE still mention it. In fact I think one of the morning host went to see Ramos last week. Lets stir the pot again.
TEXAS: One of the few states that can secede from the Union.
the pot needs to be stirred until something gets done and the big boys(and girls) of syndicated national talk radio have really dropped the ball. Maybe we need an email campaign to some of them asking if they just covered the story for some ratings at the time or whether they really cared about what actually happens to the men that are wrongly imprisoned.
I couldn't agree with you more, I would like to see how many we can get to send fax's, e-mails and calls everyday. How many people would make a commitment to take 15 minutes of their day to fight for these good men. I'm sure they get despondent sitting in their 5 by 10 ft cell and wondering if they are forgotten. We need to keep sending to Glen Beck, Lou Dobbs, our Senators , our representatives and ask what has happened to the hearing that's a month late. I think Rep. Delahunt is the man in charge with setting the date. We all got together to stop the Amnesty Bills, I don't understand why we don't think these men in prison are important, if we had a tenth of the Amnesty fax,s they would be out now. There were 9 Agents at the Levee that day and the only Agents that were doing their job that day are in prison. Reading the trial transcripts it seems the rest were going to just stay out of trouble, if I wanted to defend something I want Ramos and Compean. I would like to see how many would commit to send or call at least 2 either media or polititians a day. I never thought these men would still be sitting in prison 10 months. I'm sure Sutton feels if this drags on a little while longer he will get out scott free. I feel if we put the pressure on Bush might pardon them so his buddy Sutton won't have to testify under oath. The appeals date is 12/3 but I don't trust Sutton won't try to get this delayed. When you think about it, it seems the Justice Dept. and Homeland Security went to a lot of money and trouble to take care of this Drugrunner's civil rights, it stinks NAU from top to bottom. We are losing our Country everyday and now at a record pace.
When are the people going to get MAD and say ENOUGH!!! I used to think this would happen, but I'm begining to think it 's just going to slip away!!
I wonder if Bush offered Vincente Fox a big job in the NAU.
On May 6th John and Ken of KFI Los Angeles (the biggest afternoon drive talk ratings with over one million listeners) are having a fund raising benefit for Ramos and Campean. At least one of the wives (Mrs. Ramos, I believe) will be there. The Border will be screened at 8:00 PM as part of this event. John and Ken can get national attention going on this again. I believe significant money will be raised. Entrance to see the movie is $25 with the money going for a great cause as we all know.
You are, of course, correct on your observation. The blow-hards of the electromagnetic spectrum are almost entirely composed of what used to be called, in the day when only newspapers were available, "yellow" journalists.
There is much to be said for the emphasis on the problems caused by illegal immigration, and the Ramos/Compean/Hernandez, etc. issues. The problem is that the content is driven more by what will attract listeners, than what will result in solution directed activism. As soon as there is a sense that interest is waning, the issues get dropped, and the next issue is latched onto that will attract interest. Some of us believe that this is more due to failure to be able to communicate effectively the importance of issues, than it is mass boredom.
We don't need new "comprehensive" immigration laws. We need widespread, well funded enforcement of existing immigration law, i. e. IRCA 1986. http://www.oig.lsc.gov/legis/irca86.htm ANYTHING ELSE IS JUST A BIG CHARADE! Lou Dobbs and Glen Beck have been keeping this on the front burner, Dobbs had Johnny Sutton on last week and let him spin his lies pretty good.
Dobbs got after him but not nearly as hard as he should, you could read Sutton's face, this is all but over and then it will be business as usual. They have proved their point, the people have no spine left at all, we can shove any kind of crap down their throat and they will just swallow. It's no longer Govt. by the People, it's Govt. over the People. They don't even try to cover it up anymore, look at the 3 we have seeking the Presidency, not an American in the bunch, 300,000,000 people and this is the best we can come up with. I'm sure Bush is telling the Mexican President in New Orleans what a great job he did throwing Ramos and Compean in prison so the drugs would continue to run free. It's evident we never will have secure Borders because thats not in their plans. I guess if Mexico wanted to invade us with military force we would just have to surrender, as we are incapable of stopping anybody at the border, it would take at least 20 years to even come up with a plan and then there's the enviroment to consider.
I can see the people will never revolt, they will just be sucked down in the sleaze until it's to late to do anything, they already have the young people thinking totally different than we did even 20 years ago, I'm sure they feel the left wing Schools, media, polititians, and Churches have done their jobs and now is the time to spring the trap. Govt. care from cradle to grave and Gore's world Govt. against global warming scheme.
Ramos and Compean need to be home with their family's now!!!! We have walked around with our hat in our hand long enough, it's very evident their just laughing at us. This 5th Circut is now 5 months into this, what in the hell are they looking at??? The prosecuter and Homeland Security said they lied, what else would you need?? It makes you realize we have no say in our Govt. at all, their telling us you and your 450,000 signers can go to hell, we are running this. We must make a choice soon or we won't be able to do anything.

You bopped the nail right on the head!
Incidentally Limbaugh was busily telling people how much he "cares" for the country, yet he refuses to EVER utter the words Ramos or Compean. His call screener really does an excellent job of only allowing those in that will direct the discussion in directions Limbaugh wishes to go.
One caller snuck in a few months ago and asked Rush, "Mr. Limbaugh, I would really like to have your take on what you think about the imprisonments of Nacho Ramos and Jose Compean." Limbaugh said, "Oh you mean the ones that shot the drug smuggler in the butt? We have to go on commercial break." Thereafter Limbaugh listened to the next caller as if the prevous one never had existed.
What might be your take on that, Jim, or anyone?
