Citizens For Immigration Reform are holding 2 rallies tomorrow, one is at Valley View Mall at 10 am, the other is in Irving at 2pm. Go to the wed-site for more info, please go if you can, www.cfirdallas.com once you get on site click on monthly calendar on top right. it has all the information for tomorrow, I know this is short notice but I'm going, I want to show support for what Irving is doing, of course there is a pro illegal protest planned as well, Let's show Irving Texas we support them!
Marcy, I will be there in spirit. I live in Fl, so no way I can come, but fly the flag for us who can't be there. Thank you and looking forward to your report after the rally.
Good for you, Marcy. I'll be there also to support our police department enforcing the law. The illegals are going to have a protest march at the same time. I hope we outnumber them greatly.
Went to first part of Rally by the mall, could not stay long, Met some very nice people, When we arrived (late, traffic, kids)There was a bunch standing along the road with their flags and signs, Met the woman who works with CFIR, very nice also, People drove by and honked and waved and said some encouraging phases, Like you rock and stuff. Heard only one bad phase, had to leave to pick up my daughter. I'm going to the Irving rally later, I'll fill you in on that when I get back.
I went to the rally at the Irving City Hall and I've got to say I was totally disappointed with the American citizen support. There looked to be at least a thousand Mexicans protesting and only about 150 citizens rallying to support our police and enforcement of our laws. That really ticked me off. If you people can't get off your ass and do something, then don't start bitching when the Mexicans take over. In a city of over 180,000 people and only 150 show up is enough to make me want to live in another city. I have never been so disappointed in a city in my life. And out of those 150, I'll bet half of those were from another city. Very few people I talked to were from Irving. No wonder it's easy for Mexico to take over, the citizens are weak. If there is one word to describe most American people it is apathetic. I am so pissed off right now I doubt that I'll be able to sleep tonight. I'll bet if it took people having to defend their right and freedom with guns, we couldn't get 30 people together. I am damn mad right now. It has been said that you really don't know what you had until you lose it. Well get ready to find out what you had, because we are about to lose it. Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, enough.
AK-Man, I was there with my husband, we arrived late, I've got to say, they had so many streets blocked off and detours, we almost turned around, we only found our way to the rally because the police were arresting some people in the middle of the street so they blocked the road, we got out and I asked a police officer if he thought we could make it to Town hall from where we were, he said we could, it was a long walk and to be honest even with all the police if I had been alone I wouldnt of walked it, all we were passing were hispanics that I knew were for the rally, I am white, and blonde, I knew they knew why I was there.Dont be discouraged, This was my first rally and I was really encouraged, it was a beautiful day today and people took time and came out, I met two people who said this was their first rally also, People are waking up, Dont be discouraged, use your anger towards something possitive, Join one of the groups that were there if you dont belong already, I'm going to join the CFIR group, they're more like me alittle layed back, not yelling, find a group, get involved, keep going to rallies and get the word out, sorry I didnt get a chance to met you, maybe next time, okay, chill out, you did something good today, remember that.
Marcy, I don't think that the Irving Police Dept. was very encouraged by the few people that came out on their behalf. The citizens of this country better get out a map of the world and start picking another country they would want to live because all these people do is keep running away from the problem instead of facing it head on. That's their answer to the problem, MOVE. Then the illegals follow them and guess what they do then, MOVE. That's the attitude of the citizens here, let someone else do it and they can let me know how it turns out. I asked many of the people there today where they were from and 7 out of 10 were from a city other than Irving. You don't have to be a mathematician to know that is totally pathetic. Face it, the illegals are waging war and winning because of the apathy of the American citizens. I contacted many people to tell them about the rally and guess what, none of those people showed up, not one.
It is sad people within a community take no more interest than they do when illegals are literally taking over. It is beyond me , ILLEGALS allowed to stay in this country, ANYWHERE. Speaks well of GW and friends.
Irving is not my community. I have nonetheless kept up with the issue and have sent numerous e-mails to the Chief of Police. I wish I could do more.
As you say the people in Irving better get their act together and show support for their local police doing what should be done, removing illegals from the streets.
Hey AK-Man, I mean oldguy (you're using the same photo)--
I understand your frustration. Try living in the heart of the Beast in CA where it seems everyone is pro-illegal or illegal themselves. Fear of biung labeled "a racist" is rampant as is the fear of not wanting to get hit with a bottle inthe head. One of the Minutemen Project women has brain damage from such a bottle hitting her thrown by a skank in a now-famous Baldwin Park protest. I'm certainly not saying "Don't protest!" or "Don't attend a rally", but one should be realistic and one has to balance the pros and cons--like, is it worth being injured or killed? Illegal gangbangers (sorry--that's a self-cancelling phrase!) have knives and know how to use them. It's something to consider when you're a small group and the enemy outnumbers you 10 to 1 and the po-lice can't keep a bottle from flying or a knife from being pulled.
I've worked day and night on the Invasion issue, and when there's a protest happening from an anti-Invasion group in my area that I want to go to, my other half warns me not to go. She knows that all it takes is one knife or bottle or fist and she loses the love of her life...for a protest on a street corner? Small consolation to a grieving widow. I do MY part online on various blogs and with fellow patriots across the country by email and phone. So don't be too quick to criticize everyone in Irving, TX. I'm sure there are those who wanted to be there but were afraid or were talked out of it as I have been here.
I will say this one last thing, and I quote "The best way for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing". I'm sure our troops in Iraq are always worried about that same thing only much more extreme and on a daily basis. They are there fighting for our freedom and we are sitting on our butts and letting our freedom be taken away from us. Our troops are always worrying about being shot and killed or being blown up by an IED, 24/7. You know why they keep doing it? Because they believe in what they are doing and why they are there. Sure, I always worry about some idiot driving by and shooting in the crowd. But I'll be damned if I'm going to let those idiots scare me into not doing the right thing and standing up for the law.
AK-MAN/oldguy--I don't disagree with you. However, there are a lot of us. We don't ALL have to be out in the street! Some of us work best behind the scenes. Others in confrontation. It's "teamwork". Don't get down on those of us behind the scenes. We all pitch in in our own ways.
