Hello, everyone…..I just joined the team and I’m new at this.  I’ve been reading all of your posts and comments and looking at the articles and it appears to me that the BIG picture has not been addressed regarding the immigration fiasco.  Have I missed something? I believe that although our grass roots efforts have yielded results of a temporary measure, they are just that – temporary!  The amnesty nightmare will continue to come back, and indeed, amnesty is being granted piece by little piece as is evidenced by the trick pulled by the Dems in August with the Agricultural Appropriations Bill.  I believe very strongly we need to concentrate our efforts in another direction.  We have been focusing on the obvious; now, we need to go beyond that and address the real reason why our government has not secured our borders and current immigration laws remain un-enforced.  The resignation of Michael Chertoff would be of no value.  Please know that a well thought-out agenda, much larger than Homeland Security, much larger than our country, is gaining ground.  It is complex, it is dangerous, and it is very subtle.  Our Constitution is slowly being dismantled and our sovereignty will dissolve before our very eyes if this agenda is not recognized by the American people for what it is.  Beware of the Tri-Lateral Commission whose mantra of globalism is of ultimate concern to Bush.  Beware of the Security and Prosperity Partnership which is the vessel that will be used to achieve the Commission’s goals.  Please know this is real and it is happening now.  How can our Constitution be threatened by such outside forces?  How is it that our Congress is not watching the disintegration of our nation?  It is being done by executive orders and trade regulations going through the Department of Commerce and a procedure called “Fast Track” which has granted the president the power to negotiate treaties and enter into trade agreements before Congress ever votes on them.  NAFTA was implemented by “Fast Track” and is only the beginning.  Our sovereignty is being severely compromised because international treaties (and law) supersede national law.  This means that grass roots activists and the American public will have nothing to say about it; it will be completely off limits to us to protest.  I repeat, this is a very complex issue, but please do not misunderstand.  The bottom line is that regulations and executive orders have replaced Congressional legislation and public debate.  Our guess is that the next step will be the promotion of a “North American Union”.  Of course Bush does not want a fence built; of course he wants no immigration control, of course you will not see Homeland Security doing its job, because this would all be detrimental to his ultimate goal.   Our next concerted effort should be to let our legislators know we are aware of what is happening with “Fast Track” and find out how to stop this huge abuse of power!  The rug is being pulled out from underneath us and there is little time left!  We need to educate ourselves and read about this “real” issue.  Please check out: www.augustreview.com, a non-profit organization which discusses this threat, or e-mail me and I will send you a document explaining more about this.  We can phone, fax, e-mail, write letters to our Congressmen and sign petitions all day long regarding the immigration issue, but in the end it will be to little avail.  Can we get a dialogue going on this?  Can someone, more knowledge than I about the inner workings of our government, please contribute their ideas as to how we might effectively fight this terrible battle?  Thank you for letting me sound off!

Welcome Labrador.  It is no secret that our leaders have sold us out.  They want to form their own personal union to where the people have no say in what goes on.  Lab, the real question is are you going to stand idly by and let it happen or are you going to be willing to take up arms against those who will take you freedom away from you.

Good post, Lab.  6 years ago, I woulda called you nuts.  However it seemed as every month went by, something just wasn't right.  I knew that the borders were a problem before 9/11, but I didn't know how many Mexicans were coming in.  I remember a couple of days after the WTC attack, Bush was giving an interview and one of the reporters asked him how he was going to secure the border.  Bush got a stupid look on his face and said "We aren't going to turn this country into a Fortress America"  I just thought that was odd.  Now we have no borders to speak of to this day.  I totally believe that they are gonna try to shove this N.A.U. down our throats.  As far as I'm concerned, I was born an American and will die an American.
