Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) attorneys are asking concerned citizens to contact California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and President George W. Bush, and ask them to veto several bills that seek to advance the homosexual agenda.

In California, several pro-homosexual bills have passed the legislature and are awaiting the governor's signature. Among them, SB 777, which would expand the push of homosexual propaganda in schools. AB 43 would legalize same-sex "marriage" in California. AB 14 would expand the state's civil rights laws to add more special protections for homosexuals, and AB 102 would further blur the lines between marriage and domestic partnerships.

PJI president Brad Dacus says time is of the essence. "These bills are sitting on the governor's desk as we speak. The governor will have to make a decision within two weeks whether to sign them or veto them, or allow them to become law. So there's very little time left," he says.

Dacus also encourages concerned Christians to contact the White House and urge President Bush to honor his pledge to veto a hate crimes amendment that was inserted into a defense appropriations bill. "Unfortunately, Halloween is coming a few weeks early for people of faith, with several nightmarish bills threatening to silence our religious freedoms," says Dacus.

The attorney is convinced that Christians nationwide can make an impact on the governor's decision. Dacus says an important number Schwarzenegger will look at is the number of calls his office receives on the bills -- both pro and con.
