Get your Carry License

I have had to draw my weapon only once in my life. It stopped what would have been a mugging before it started. Your goverement cannot protect you, they can only keep stats of crimes that is happening around you. This is part of the reason our fore fathers put in the second anmendent. An armed society is a safe society, get you carry license

While a member of the NRA, I never owned a gun. I simply stood for the belief that, those who chose, should be able to own one. Ironically, I am not a member now, but I own a gun. A policeman suggested I should own one. My son got involved with drugs and unsavory characters. I called the police in after some threats and it was recommended that I buy a weapon and keep it close to hand. I do not carry, did not apply for a carry license, but I am whole-heartedly in agreement with you about a safe society. My one concern is with those who, in traffic situations, refer to the law of the gun rather than the law of reason. That being said, I still believe the crime rate would drop sharply if more people carried guns.

              You must not live in Califorina. The comman man can not get a carry prmint much less carry. There is no 2nd second anmendent here in cali. if your a cop or a jugde you can carry w/permit, but the comon man can forgit it

Dear BassinBoggs, et.al.--right on!! Get your carry license. Guns save lives, so don't let any misinformed person tell you otherwise. Educate yourself--join Gun Owners of America and the NRA (GOA is the better of the two, I think). Refuse to be a victim, either of an individual piece of crap who is trying to accost or rob you, or of bureaucrats who think they are our masters. Don't ever let the politicians do away with our 2ND AMENDMENT rights. They're trying, that's for sure. An armed citizen is a free citizen--a subject is an unarmed slave!!

Better to be more afraid of the politicians than a gangster. After the politicians disarm you then the gangsters will come. Just like in Mexico as they cannot defend themselves.

I have a carry permit and have had one since I was old enough to get one.  I would not be without my firearm unless I am on school grounds our in court.  I even carry to Church.  I will file for my life time carry permit in December.  I stand firmly behind the 2nd amendmant and the laws of the land.  I also know the our Government will not protect us and I and my family will not fall victim to the low lifes around us.  To many people have died to give us these rights and I will continue to fight for these rights.

I have my Concealed Carry Permit here in NC, fortunately I have never had to fire on anyone, but it sure makes me feel  more secure to know I can protect myself and my family.

There is a serious responsibility in firearms ownership, but like driving, you learn how to do it 'properly', don't abuse the privelege... like the pickup parked in the driveway, might not need it everyday, but when you do, makes a world of difference. When one calls 911 it usually to clean up the mess afterwards.

If you read history, the first thing aggressors or oppressors do when they want control over you, is to Disarm the Population.... dont know is there is a parallel with the anti-gunners, but I for one do not wish to find out !

Here in the people’s republic of New Jersey (unless you are a corrupt politician) you can not obtain a concealed carry permit. As I still own a house in North Carolina and have never changed my address I still have my concealed carry license. I can carry in Pennsylvania, and other states other than the People’s Republic. Funny I was good enough for N.C. and many other reciprocal states but not good enough for New Jersey. You need to carry a weapon more in New Jersey than any other state, It appears here more public officials are arrested than street criminals.  Lets face fact New Jersey is the PITS, Someday soon I will be home in a free state my beloved North Carolina.

Could this be because you can't get a "permit" to carry concealed in NJ???? As stated in my earlier post. The second amendment applies to ALL of us, not just the residents of certain states! Do the thugs in NJ carry concealed weapons?? Why should you be at a disadvantage to them?? Certain rights were given to the individual states. The ability to usurp the rights granted us by the Constitution of The United States is NOT one of them!!

            Alaska, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Minnesota, and Oklahoma protects the rights of Concealed carry Weapons Permit holders to keep their firearm locked in their vehicle at their place of employment. It prohibits employers from penalizing or terminating employees for exercising their desire to defend themselves when going to and from work. If your state isn't on this list it is time to worry your state legislators until they do.

             I agree with you mapricenc.  Even if I didn't have a CWP; I would still arm myself to defend my life, my family, and fellow man.

Agree with Mapricenc:  Whilst I somehow forgot to obtain my CCW permit, I still tend to carry my trusty rusty when traveling the backroads of Arizona.  I'm also blessed with the fact that AZ is an 'open carry' state....except where otherwise specifically noted......so as long as it's in the open....like on the dash board.....it's ok.......

 

I don't need no stinking permit to protect me and me wife and me kids......

If you are a security cop are you able to carry in California?  I.e., companies that hire security I believe can have them carry?  So, start your own company and designate yourself as security.  I know that a business owner in California is allowed to have weapons on the premises unless that law has changed in the past 10 years since I left Calif.. Are you using your vehicle to conduct business, you know moving cash or valuables from one location to another? What I'm saying is there are ways to get around existing laws.  You've just got to dig in and find the loopholes.  Befriend a judge and he-she can enlighten you.

I currently live in Alaska where a concealed carry permit is an Alaskan drivers license. Sure, there's some foolishness that goes on here....especially in the Anchorage area. But the violent crime rate per capita isn't anything near the lower 48.........God I do love this place!!!

I am afraid to get a permit. Right now, there is no record of any of my guns. I am concerned that getting a permit could put me on a watch list. There is something WAY WRONG in this country when citizens begin to feel as I do, but I think that we are all pretty much in agreement that there is something way wrong...

I appreciate your concern, but if your state is like NC where I live, Here they Issue the Permit to the Individual, Without asking any questions about what you own..... Check out your state, ask the question.

They may not ask about what you own, but you're still on record as a permit holder.....gun owner by default.
