 The Peter Morrison Report
It's not everyday a politician makes a remark as scandalous and
Inflammatory as our Governor Rick Perry did on August 29, when he
Was in Mexico for trade talks. The Republican let slip this beauty:
"I don't think this is that difficult an issue if Congress would
Have the maturity to sit down and really discuss it and cut out all
The mean rhetoric," said Perry.
Now, looking at this statement without the advantage of knowing
What issue Perry is talking about would be quite difficult and you
Wouldn't be able to automatically discern what exactly the "mean
Rhetoric" represents.
Here's a hint though, as there is one key word in the opening
Paragraph that serves as the catalyst for these remarks: Mexico.
Our Republican governor was discussing immigration, easily the most
Contentious issue currently being debated in America today. But he
Wasn't addressing an American crowd, but was venting his thoughts
On the issue in Mexico City, shortly before he was to meet with
Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who himself is lobbying on the
Behalf of his people for the right to colonize our country.
Perry continued his diatribe in Mexico City by criticizing the
United States Congress for failing to pass the comprehensive
Immigration bill early this year that would have legalized tens of
Millions of workers in our country.
This is truly mind-boggling, but typical of a Republican in such a
High office as Perry. First, Perry shows an utter contempt for the
Texas population and American population who were overwhelming
Against President Bush's immigration proposal that was shot down in
July of this year by the U.S. Senate.
Secondly, Perry spoke these words in Mexico City, the citadel of
The effort to remake the United States in Mexico's image.
Truthfully, though, the home-base of the effort to permanently
Alter the United States is in Washington D.C., where our
Duplicitous elected officials have worked to undermine American
Laws and grant amnesty to illegal aliens residing in our country.
If not for the wave of righteous indignation that arose across the
Country in April, May, June and July against President Bush and the
Republican/Democrats who wanted to grant amnesty, Governor Perry
Would have gotten his wish.
Perry would go on to say:
"We need those individuals to continue to grow our economy," he
Said of Texas' undocumented workers, most of whom hail from Mexico.
"The vast, vast majority of those individuals want to come and work
And take care of their families."
This type of statement is silly and indicative of the lunacy of the
Pro-immigration, amnesty supporters in the debate. You always hear
And read how America's economy is improved by illegal immigrants
And how the immigrants are only coming to America to better their
Lives.
Well, Governor Perry, despite the mountains of evidence that run
Counter to your argument - which will be dissected in a later
Column - the question to you is simply this: What does your
Statement mean to the average American family, struggling to get by
Due to depressed wages and the availability of cheaper workers? Are
Immigrants actually improving the life of Americans?
Perry also said:
"We know how to deal with border security, and you don't do it by
Building a fence,"
And
"Part of the reason for the shrillness of the debate over
Immigration, he said, was that media have given a "megaphone ... To
People to say mean and nasty things."
How exactly Perry believes the United States knows how to deal with
Border security is never answered. What we do know is that our
Borders are still wide open and that a fence is still nowhere near
Being built, which would, of course, work to deter illegal
Immigrants from entering the U.S.
Perry believes the best way to deal with border security is to
Simply do away with the U.S./Mexican border, and allow the free
Migration of migrant workers to flow without any sign of stopping.
Perry is the one who has been given the megaphone in this instance,
And he is the one saying mean things - to those of us who believe
The laws of our land should be upheld.
Simply put, these comments from Perry show that we as Texans must
Work together to do something about our border security, if our
Elected officials won't.  We must alert our state representatives
About our dissatisfaction with Perry over this issue and should
Also tell the Governor that we aren't happy with his remarks in
Mexico.
Flood Perry's office with calls, e-mails and faxes letting him now
your thoughts on the issue and telling him that we must have a
fence to stop the illegal alien flow and also that pro-illegal
alien rhetoric is no longer going to be tolerated.

I don't know who in Texas could be proud of This Governor. He learned from his Predecessor, Mr. Pres. Bush.  The same one that appointed him, when he decided to run for Pres. Then Some People decided to reelect him!

My e-mail to this jerk!  I lived in TX for 7 1/2 yrs. and couldn't believe he got re-elected!  Neither could anyone else I talked to.  I may not be there anymore, but I sent him my message anyway!

You were way out of line in your comments in Mexico.  The U.S. Citizens DO have the right to demand the Rule of Law be followed in our own Country.  There is nothing mean or hateful to expect illegal aliens to have to adhere to our immigrations laws and enter legally.

YOU are part of the problem, not the solution.  YOU were elected to protect the American Citizens in Texas, their rights and their Laws.  We elected you.  Your loyalty is to us and to the United States of America, not the illegal community, your big business interests, the ethnic special interests such as LaRaza OR the President of Mexico.

If this job doesn't suit you, I would suggest you give it up to someone who cares about our Country and her citizens.

If you live in Texas, you know that Perry is a crook! I have yet to talk to anyone that objects to anyone coming to this country legally. There has been to many good Americans loose their jobs and to many cities and towns to have to carry the finical bourdon of all the illegal aliens and government give a ways. I don't blame them; I blame our government for not enforcing the laws. We have to send a message to our elected officials; the way to do it is to not vote for any incumbent. Send a message; get them the hell out of office VOTE FOR NO INCUMBENT !

To change the direction of this country, you must change the people who you have entrusted. Do not stand by and let others tell you what is good for your country. Vote these carpet baggers out of office.

Good idea! I suggest that you do it as an independent... if you are a registered Dem or Republican fill out your papers and withdraw from the party.

It is a message you all can start sending right away... then target all the incumbents out!

If we can get enough re-registration sheets flowing perhaps the parties will get the message!

At this point they still need us to vote!

Here is what it says about Perry on the TX Gov web site:

Notice the section on the Trans Texas Corridor (also know as the Nafta Super Hwy or the SPP Super Hwy or the NAU super hwy).

Governor Rick Perry

Sworn in as the state's 47th governor on December 21, 2000, Rick Perry was elected to a four-year term on November 5, 2002.

En Español

A fifth generation Texan, Governor Rick Perry has taken an extraordinary Texas journey, from a tenant farm along the rolling plains of West Texas to the governor’s office of our nation’s second largest state.

Texas’ 47th governor, and the first Texas A&M graduate to occupy the Texas Governor’s Mansion, Rick Perry has led a life of public service, serving four and a half years in the United States Air Force, and nearly two decades in elected office as a state representative, commissioner of agriculture, lieutenant governor and now governor.

Governor Perry has focused his administration on creating a Texas of unlimited opportunity and prosperity through initiatives to improve education and the Texas job climate, keep taxes low and ensure state spending is disciplined.

He joined legislators of both parties in passing a balanced budget without a tax hike despite a $10 billion shortfall in 2003. Demonstrating Governor Perry’s priorities, the budget he signed increased education and healthcare spending despite tough economic times, and invested in jobs with the new $295 million Texas Enterprise Fund, because Governor Perry believes the best long-term, stable source of revenue for funding public priorities is job creation.

Governor Perry was recognized at the top of the list of “Ten People Who Have Made a Difference” by Southern Business Development Magazine (Winter 2003/2004 edition.) Business Facilities Magazine also recognized the governor’s key role in attracting the Toyota Motor Company expansion to San Antonio on the cover of their December 2003 edition. According to Site Selection Magazine, Texas closed 46 percent of the biggest deals of the year in 2003 (March 2004 edition.)

Governor Perry also signed the nation’s most sweeping lawsuit reforms in the nation. The Wall Street Journal said “Texas’s omnibus (tort reform) bill stands out for its sheer scope.” The Texas reforms will greatly enhance the job climate, and are a model for the nation in addressing skyrocketing malpractice insurance rates. Since signing medical malpractice reform (later affirmed by voters at the ballot box), close to a dozen new underwriters have sought entry into the Texas market, many hospitals and doctors have experienced insurance savings, and obstetricians and specialists are returning to practice in previously high-risk areas.

Since becoming lieutenant governor in 1999, Rick Perry has worked to build a stronger safety net for the poorest of the poor. The number of children with health insurance under Medicaid and CHIP has more than doubled since 1999, and increased by more than 100,000 children since January, 2003. The governor is also working to expand opportunities for the private sector to offer health insurance because he believes it is preferable for more Texans to receive privately funded health care. He signed legislation allowing small businesses to pool together to offer affordable health insurance policies, and reduced the number of mandates for private sector policies.

The governor has also offered the most visionary transportation plan in the nation – the Trans Texas Corridor – which not only provides thousands of miles of new roads, but also new rail lines, and room for petroleum and electric lines, water lines and broadband technology. This proposal, new renewable energy requirements, and emissions reduction legislation signed by Governor Perry, will all help clean the air in urban areas.

Governor Perry has also offered a comprehensive vision for school finance reform based on four key principles: 1) changing the focus in public education from minimum standards to academic excellence through results-based incentives; 2) cutting, capping and controlling property taxes; 3) eliminating the “Robin Hood” funding scheme while providing greater equity, and; 4) protecting the job climate.

Before becoming governor, Lieutenant Governor Perry worked with legislators of both parties to pass a balanced state budget that included record tax cuts, record teacher pay raises, and a historic school funding increase.

He earned high marks as the president of the Senate for his bipartisan leadership. The El Paso Times editorialized, "Promises made, promises kept. That is the slogan by which Texas Lt. Governor Rick Perry should be remembered."

Rick Perry was first elected to statewide office in 1990, serving as Texas Commissioner of Agriculture for two terms. From 1985 to 1991, he represented a rural West Texas district in the Texas House of Representatives.

Governor Perry hails from Paint Creek, a small farming community about an hour north of Abilene, where farming, ranching and public service run in his family. His father, Ray Perry, served as a Haskell County Commissioner, school board member and a World War II tailgunner.

Between 1972 and 1977, Governor Perry served in the United States Air Force flying C-130 tactical airlift aircraft in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Governor Perry is a 1972 graduate of Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, a junior and senior yell leader, and an animal science major.

The younger of Ray and Amelia Perry's two children, Governor Perry was active in scouting and earned the high distinction of Eagle Scout. He first met Anita Thigpen at a piano recital during their elementary school years. They married in 1982.

Governor Perry is a lifetime member of American Legion Post #75. Rick and Anita Perry are the proud parents of two children - Griffin, and Sydney. The Perrys are members of Tarrytown United Methodist Church in Austin.

Gov. Perry Summoned to Bilderberg While Insider Trading Charges Mount in Related Texas Buyout
Ron Paul: Bilderberg "a sign that he's very much involved in the international conspiracy" as Texas Governor off to Global Government Think Tank's Secret Meeting

Texas Governor Rick Perry's attendance at this year's Bilderberg meeting was reported today by the Dallas Morning News and confirmed by the Governor's Press Office as he left Austin for Istanbul-- where the exclusive and private meeting of elites from throughout the Western world will take place. The trip could be in violation of the Logan Act which prevents U.S. citizens from unauthorized negotiations with foreign entities.

While the agenda of the meeting is kept secret, the overlap in interests between Governor Perry and Bilderberg are clear, as Texas becomes increasingly overrun by international firms taking control over land, roads and newly privatized utilities-- seizing Texas in a manner similar to IMF takeover of third world nations.

Rick Perry has not only been instrumental in the contentious development of the Trans-Texas Corridor-- often argued to be necessary infrastructure for regional government under C.F.R. plans for a North American Community and the Security & Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP.gov) signed by President Bush-- Rick Perry has also privatized TxU (Texas Utilities), handing it off to global investment firms and private control who are heavily involved in the Bilderberg group.

The $45 billion dollar TxU buyout is no less than the largest buyout ever, and involves at least three firms represented annually at Bilderberg, each characteristic of global investment-- Goldman Sachs, represented by its Chairman Peter D. Sutherland (also Chairman of British Petroleum [BP]), Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. (KKR) represented by Henry R. Kravis, founder and partner, and Credit Suisse First Boston represented by Chairman and CEO Ronald S. Lloyd.

Now, the biggest ever buyout is unfolding in scandal-- as Ajaz Rahim, head of investment banking at Saudi owned Faysal Bank in Pakistan, is criminally charged with conspiracy and securities fraud for insider trading based on information he received from Credit Suisse, who advised on the TxU deal.

Blaze - when is his term up?  It says he was elected to a 4 year term in 2002 - so did he then begin in 03 and his term is up at the end of this year?

I heard Kaye Baily wants to run for this office.  Do you think TX will vote for her?

I was in Dallas in Oct and all I saw were Ron Paul bumper stickers everywhere.

Thanks Txguy1 - I hope that you get a very tough anti-illegal alien, anti-NAU, anti-SPP, anti-Trans Corridor Governor that is able to un-do all the damage that Perry has done.

What do you think?   Are the chances good for that?

I would say with all of the Ron Paul bumper stickers there it would be very likely that any "give the state to Mexico" candidate would not make it?

The only information I have heard about a possible new candidate for governor in 2010 is the current Republican State Comptroller, Susan Combs.

I really don't know if she would be any better than Perry.

Kay Bailey Hutchison talked about running in 2006 but didn't.  I think some people "in high places" convinced her not to run.

Unfortunately, there is no one currently in Texas with an outstanding conservative record.

Do not wait until 2010. This guy will then preside over a NWO post because this country will be the North American Union by then. Recall him NOW based on all of this published info. He's been selling out Texas for a long time. All of the homes and businesses along the TTC(4 football fields wide) will be targets of eminent domain between now and then. You have much more to be concerned about than his crooked sell-out of Texas and America. Start calling and try to get a recall going. I've tried to warn my Texas friends that they have big problems ahead with this TTC.

Our children and grandchildren are depending on what we do right now!
