Could this have anything to do with our Border Agents being sent to prison for doing their job? Or maybe leaving the borders open, because we wouldn't want to target someone just because they were coming across the Rio Grande, illegally? I know, it's just because we wouldn't want to be politically incorrect and try to secure our borders. That might be considered Protectionism.

The Gao Has determined there is a problem with the border being porous and terrorist may be crossing the border. DUH
NO!!! Really? How many multi millions of dollars were spent on "studies" to come up with that brilliant gem of a revelation?
Contrary to popular belief, I find something more sinister looming:
If you remember previous reports by the FBI and other southern patrol officials: the smuggling of radical Islamics were on the southern border. Also, a report from WND indicated the Mexicans found it more lucrative to smuggle Middle Easterners and recent reports claim they are now charging by the head as much as $50,000.
This Gao Report only references the northern border with Canada. They tried to reflect they had done some number crunching and that the northern border is too porous and that is where they are focusing their attention.
My belief is that they are going to be increasing enforcement along that border only. This will facilitate shooing the Mexicans back into the United States to keep Canada happy.
