I have said, many, many ,many times on this forum there are notes taken by the lawmakers that brought forth the 14th amendment that show what their specific intentions were in drafting the amendment. You can find an article with these notes on the vdare.com website. just search the 14th amendment... they did not intend for it to be used in the way it is being used. Here is a link: http://www.vdare.com/sutherland/weigh...

The sad thing is; we as Americans, would be hard pressed to find a court, or law maker to enforce the 14th Amendment.  I beleive the more we read and understand our Constitution, the less fear we have.

Thank you zman61 for helping me in my quest for the truth.

The 14th amendment to our constitution never established citizenship, it only recognized a citizenship so the nation would no longer have any qualms about the slaves being citizens.  They were already citizens.  It's just that most people did not want to recognize that fact.  The 14th amendment put it in black and white.

You are absolutely right and in a few select cases there have been in the past some court decisions that allowed what is going on now to come about.  It needs to be put before the supreme court and rectified
