A Christian legal organization is calling for a concerted prayer effort for true revival in America.

Hear this Report

Liberty Counsel has kicked of what it calls "Advocates for America," a nationwide effort that asks Christians to pray for Liberty Counsel, the country, and major issues facing values voters this year and beyond.

Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, says the country is feeling the effects of a spiritual war. "Not only in the courtrooms but in the legislative halls, in the schoolrooms all over America, there's a huge attack against our culture, against religious freedom, the sanctity of human life and even the basic definition of the family," he says. "So the Advocates for America prayer campaign is designed to get people together who want to pray for America and then give them specific things on which to pray."

The Christian attorney believes America is facing a turning point and that Christians need to humble themselves in prayer. He says that Christians need to confess individual sins as well as corporate sins, and ask forgiveness "for the shed blood that we have spilled on American shores under the guise of abortion as a free choice. And [for] the audacity that we have to redefine the family with some of our courts."

According to Staver, it is time for true Christians to do as previous generations did -- take action and pray.

I'd like to see the Liberty Council expanded to the size and power of the ACLU(LU) which would enable them to expand even more.  They do alot of good.  The expansion would give us a fighting chance to retain all of our rights and get our Constitution back.  Know any rich donors?

I think it's up to us to open our checkbooks, and donate $5. $10, $25 or whatever we can afford.  The liberal rich are donating to Move On, etc.

It doesn't take only one rich person to donate, it's us.  Stand up for what we believe in and take action.  Every little bit, added together, the Lord can multiply beyond what we can think.

My check is in the mail.   This is a great cause to give to.  I believe in them and I support them.  I want to see LIberty Counsel grow and win lots of cases, expecially the one coming up in California that they are fighting to protect marriage from being redefined.  Not only do they need our support but they need our prayers too.  With God nothing is impossible. Amen? Amen!!!

Here's another VICTORY!

Maryland’s Highest Court Upholds
State
Law Favoring Traditional Marriage

Today, in the case of Conaway v. Deane, the Maryland Court of Appeals upheld the state’s marriage law, which says "only a marriage between a man and a woman is valid in this state." The court reversed a lower court decision issued In January 2006 that struck down the marriage law as discriminatory.

When the case was appealed, Liberty Counsel filed a brief on behalf of the Association of Maryland Families. The brief urged the state’s highest court to uphold the marriage law, which the court did today stating, "In light of the fundamental nature of procreation, and the importance placed on it by the Supreme Court, safeguarding an environment most conducive to the stable propagation and continuance of the human race is a legitimate government interest."

This is another great victory for traditional values.

September 19, 2007   Another Win for US

www.LC.orgFederal Judge Rules That Ten Commandments
Display Can Stay in Kentucky Courtrooms
The tide is turning against the ACLU’s war on the Ten Commandments! Yesterday, a federal district court in Kentucky ruled that a display of the Ten Commandments together with other historical documents in the Rowan County Fiscal Courtroom is constitutional. Liberty Counsel represents Rowan County in a lawsuit that was filed by the ACLU.Public displays of the Ten Commandments have been upheld by several courts since Mat Staver argued the McCreary County, Kentucky, case at the U.S. Supreme Court in 2005, which involved the exact display upheld by Kentucky court yesterday. The McCreary County case is back at the district court for another ruling but is likely to return to the Supreme Court. The display will most likely be upheld because the ACLU no longer has a solid majority in its favor on the High Court. Since Justice O’Connor retired, the ACLU is unlikely to win any Ten Commandments case before the Court. This underscores the importance of making sure that every justice that is appointed understands history and the rule of law.Liberty Counsel is also defending a Ten Commandments monument in Dixie County, Florida, against the ACLU.Read our News Release about the Rowan County case at www.LC.org/newsRead the court's opinion in this case at
