The nanny state of Washington is at it again. Is there no end?  Will people like me who wear Transitions lenses be banned from banks or have to stumble around blind.  Maybe we will have sit under armed guard while the lenses adapt to indoors and lighten.  Maybe, just MAYBE if the banks cameras are placed too high to see faces, they should consider moving the cameras, not trying to modify the customers.

You may not even think about wearing sunglasses and a hat when entering a bank, but the FBI sure is. One local agent wants to make it a new law in Washington state banning that attire. 

Hats and sunglasses are becoming one of the most common disguises for bank robbers.  Many banks, like Washington Mutual, already ask customers to take them off before walking in.  Asking doesn't seem to be working, so instead of bank policy the FBI says there should be a law.

Footage of a bank robber who hit two Seattle banks on Wednesday shows a nice view of a hat and not much else. 

"Unfortunately from the camera placement we don't have a face shot.  The cameras are placed way too high and all we see is the top of the construction helmet," said Larry Carr, FBI special agent. 

Bank bandits know they can evade the most elaborate surveillance system with a hat or hood or sunglasses. For instance, when the "nomad bandit" was finally arrested, he told the FBI he knew the cameras would never capture his face because he hid it with a hat. 

"The vast majority of bank disguises, that is their key disguise.  That's their disguise," said Carr. 

Now the FBI will be working with the state legislature to make it illegal to conduct business in banks while wearing a hat, sunglasses or a hood pulled over your head. 

The logic is simple: If you are in a bank and you are hiding your identity, you're probably up to no good. 

"That's quite frightening to the employees, so we need to train ourselves to take that attire off," said Carr. 

Besides the no hats and sunglasses rule, the FBI suggests banks should also consider lowering their cameras to better capture faces. The law would not apply to customers who cover their head for religious or medical reasons.

Thats interesting. There would be a list of people who could not go into the bank for various reasons. Religious reasons or even in rainy weather with hats and umbrellas. It just gets better doesnt it. More controle the masses to identify the bad guy. So they figured a way to use bank robbers to get the job done. What about bags and hand bags and loose clothing. Soon they will have to check them in at the door. Just like in alot of schools with no back packs allowed so kids have to carry loose piles of books around. Our own privacey is quickly getting eaten away. I wonder what they will come up with next and where.

Our local bank has had a sign up asking that people remove hats and sunglasses for months. Nobody pays any attention. This is ranch and farming country. Everybody wears a hat, and that hat only comes off when you go into a private home, or are talking outside to a lady. Men here don't even take off their hats in restaurants. I doubt any of them even notice the sign, or would obey if they did.

In a place like that they probably assume its for respect because they dont know whats going on yet. I havent noticed that here yet. But we are usually the last for anything. Larger communities around us seem to be moving quickly into the grove though, so its just a matter of time. All these things, including illegals are only tools being used to move us quickly into the last chapter of our country.

When my bank and credit union asks me to remove my hat, I will be closing out my accounts. Or we could all start our own religious sect, and tell them we are not allow to remove our hats and sunglasses in public.

Ok people you need to go to work. They're bringing back the amnesty bill back piece meal. Tell your friends, the battle is ever ending.

Many of the senators who voted with us against the comprehensive amnesty bill this summer are indicating that they favor these piecemeal amnesties and increases - which are altogether as dangerous as the giant amnesty we defeated this summer.

How they hope to do it

They will try to attach three proposals to the Department of Defense authorization bill: (1) The DREAM Act (amnesty); (2) provisions of the SKIL Act (increases in H-1B visas); and (3) increases in H-2B non-agricultural seasonal workers.

The DREAM Act sounds like an amnesty to provide in-state tuition to illegal aliens who entered the country before they were 16 (millions of illegal aliens would qualify), but in reality would likely grant amnesty to millions more because no documentation is required of an illegal alien applicant to prove that he/she entered the country before he/she was 16. What is required? A sworn statement. Once that illegal alien is approved, he/she is put on the fast track to citizenship and "retroactive benefits," while lawfully present aliens are forced to take the long route.

The SKIL Act provisions would increase the annual cap from 65,000 to 115,000 the first year, and by an additional 20 percent the next. There is a "ceiling" of 180,000 per year, but there are so many exemptions from the cap (currently, approximately two-thirds of H-1B visas have been exempted) that the cap itself is virtually meaningless. Wages the the tech industry have been falling or flat for more than five years now. This increase will make even easier for U.S. employers to import cheap labor rather than hiring American workers. The increase in H-2B visas for non-agricultural, unskilled workers works to deny jobs and decent wages to "unskilled" American workers in the same way that the H-1B does for "skilled" workers. Employers who want to hire H-2B workers must obtain a labor certification from the Department of Labor (DoL) stating that qualified American workers are not available to fill the jobs, but the DoL is not permitted to verify the truthfulness of the information the employers submit on the petitions. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are 14 million Americans actively seeking employment who cannot find a full-time job in the current economy. Forty percent of the illegal alien population came to the United States on a temporary visa, like the H-2B, and then overstayed after the visa expired. Congress has not implemented an exit system to ensure that visa holders ever leave.

If the FBI is requesting this in Washington, wouldn't it apply then to all the states?  Good luck in SoCal or Florida.     Smiley Sunglasses

Yea, so now all bank robbers will be wearing them!

In reality, bank robbery in this state (WA) is a real problem, your chances of being in a bank when a robbery goes down is high here.  Some of the banks in the higher risk area the tellers are behind bullet proof glass--I kid you not, and you have to talk to them via a little hole on the glass and put your money/checks into a bin at the bottom.  Many banks already do have signs up on their doors asking you to remove your sunglasses and hats, and transition lenses should not be a problem if they change as fast as advertised, you would only be a few steps in the door and they should have changed to regular glasses.  It only takes once as  a friend of mine found out years ago, when he turned 21, he went into a liquor store, was at the counter proudly making his first legal purchase of booze and the guy next to him pulled out a gun and robbed the place!!  My friend about wet his pants, said it was the BIGGEST gun he had ever seen and from then on, has avoided liquor stores--fortunately, the robber did not use the gun during the robbery, but he was chased a couple miles by the cops and ended up having a shoot out with the cops and was wounded/arrested, which when my friend heard that, he almost passed out saying "you mean it was loaded and he was prepared to use it???" LOL

I can't imagine better attire for any illicit activity than a burka.  They are a blob of shapeless black from head to ground.

Can you imagine being a woman and being forced to wear that or die?  Unbelievable!!

I already am a member, have been for a year+, but I thot there was an 800 number to the congress switchboard so you would not have such high phone bills, as I call a LOT of senators/congresspeople, not just my own!!

yep, seems so.  Funny how it is getting so it is more and more religious beliefs usurp the laws...churches can hide illegals, burkas can be worn in places where no other heard gear is allowed...
