If we want our country back, then we have to take our country back.

The simple message that we have to get across to the American People is this: If you want your country back, you have to take your country back. It is that simple. When talking with our fellow citizens, it is not hard to get their feedback. When they express dismay over the mess caused by illegal immigration, it is simple to phrase it in patriotic terms that put the responsibility on all of us where it belongs.

We the People have the obligation to take our country back and insure that it remains firmly American and in American hands. Our obligation is not ambiguous and it cannot be delegated to the next generation or even to the 2012 elections. We must elect the man most willing and desirous to put America back into the hands of Americans loyal to God, the United States of America, and to no other land.

Unfortunately we seem to have only a few men brave and willing enough to challenge the monied interests of the world to lead Americans to this goal.  Tom Tancredo is the original, and Duncan Hunter is another just as committed. Send both of these men contributions to insure their message reaches all Americans loud and clear in a timely manner. Now is the time to act.

Remember always that Americans want their country back. I believe that one of these men can and will make it if we pick up the flag and do what we can. I believe that man is Tom Tancredo, but it will take the message of both Tom and Duncan, and of all of us to overcome all of those who would continue chipping away at our freedoms and sovereignty.

I have sent both of them contributions!  I just wish I could afford to give the limit, which I cannot even come close to doing.  My favorite is Duncan Hunter, but Tom came first, and has the most support.  Go to each of their websites and view what they have to say.  I saw where One Mad Cookie said he posted why he couldn't support Tom, but I don't know where, and I don't know why.

This is so true ! ! !  I am watching C-Span, and the Mayor of Dallas, Texas was on and he is not going to help the American citizens.  The percentage of Hispanic population is now 43%, and growing.  The next Gromer Jeffers, writer of the Dallas Mourning News and said that people need to accept it, the Hispanic population will be in control in the near future, and will control the government.  He said this in just a matter of fact way.

We can stop this - but we are at the breaking point.

There are areas and states that are at 43% Hispanic, and what they have discovered is that the "Hispanic" culture IS NOT THE SAME THING AS THE AMERICAN CULTURE!

It just is not!  Unless they have been here for generations over generations the culture of their lives is not the way Americans have been raised since the founding of the country.

Sorry not being racist, just speaking the truth.  As someone who lives in Los Angeles, the change has been radical over the past 16 years since the "Sanctuary City" status.

First, if you can donate money to Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter, do so. Then be a squeaky wheel if you can. Talk to your friends, relatives, strangers and give them the message that our only hope is up to us and that is we must by legal means, take our country back.

We need to write letters to the editor, fax officials (elected and otherwise), cable network news programs, call radio talk shows (especially in cities smaller than New York, LA, Chicago, Houston, and Atlanta where it might be tough to get on during peak listening hours. But even in the biggest cities late night programs are often easier to get a call on the air. And of course stay involved on the internet with sites such as this one. And I hope that others will provide some more tactics we can use in our campaign to take back our country.

I know CJBL what you are saying, believe me, but a high percentage of adultss in LA are illegal aliens who would have to leave if Americans can recover legal control over the country. It wiil take a long time with their citizen children who either remain or return as adults.

But if we can do something about anchor babies, maybe by the time some of them reach adulthood, they will no longer be citizens by dint of having returned to Mexico to live until adulthood where they are also citizens. If only we can get a handle on this quickly. Time is of the essense, but we cannot panic. And there is not yet reason for that thankfully.

We have to make a loud ruckus that gets through to the American people who want their country back and to politicians and officials who want to keep their jobs. And illegal aliens have no legal right to vote so they do not yet have tremendous voting strength. But they will if we do not act quickly. Thank God we are not dependent on the voters in LA to solve this, with you of course being one of the exceptions to that utter hopelessness..

The situation is difficult, BestMom, but it can be done.  Here are my suggestions:

1.  Visit here and chat fairly often.  It will keep your spirits up.

2.  Join Grassfire.  It has had an effect.

3.  Call, email and generally harrass your Senators and Representatives on every important issue.  They have stopped being accountable to the people who elected them and they need to fear for their jobs if they don't shape up.  Only endless calls from endless voters will accomplish that.  When you learn that one of your representatives has betrayed the citizens, blab about it to friends, neighbors, co-workers, anyone who will listen.  Some with be apathetic, some will already be as angry as you are and some will be willing to learn.

4.  Supervise the education of your children yourself.  Watch, listen and participate in everything the schools are teaching or trying to teach them.  Most schools in this country, due to federal dictates have become little more than indoctrination centers for the UN and radical environmentalism. You will have to be the one to teach your children the truth.

5.  I recommend keeping yourself up on the issues.  This is a good place, www.freedom.org and www.downsizedc.org are also an excellent sources of good information.

6.  Get involved with the coming election.  There are three worthy candidates:  Ron Paul (my own choice), Tom Tancredo (the choice of many good people here) and the less popular but very worthy Duncan Hunter.  If you have a high speed internet connection, I suggest going to www.youtube.com and viewing a few videos of each of these men.  Listen to what they have to say, evaluate them for yourself and make your own choice.

Above all, remember, you are not alone.  Much of the American population feels as you do and we are starting to find each other.

Great posts! to Bestmom's questions and concerns.  One other thing, select a candidate who represents your views, find out from your State organization for the party that person represents and ask for campaign material, get a friend to go with you and walk the neighborhoods talking to people about this candidate.  Put a yard sign in your yard, or tape one in your front window. Put a bumper sticker on your car (mine is on the rear window not the paint)  Many people will go to the polls and vote for the most familiar name on the ticket.  Sad.

Most important. Vote! and urge others to vote.  Don't let anyone on these chat rooms or the media tell you that so and so cannot win.  WE ARE AMERICA and WE CAN WIN!

Another thing.  Voter registration.  You can get voter registration forms from the local election board, or at most Post Offices.  You can also print one from your State Election Board website and make copies.  You will likely come across a lot of people who are not registered to vote because they have moved recently, or people who might want to change their registration from one party to another.  It could be that ladies have not changed their name on voter registration if they have recently married, or divorced. 

A lot of states are requiring identification when voters get to the polls and the name and address on their voter roll has to match the identification they present.

There is no doubt there is a difference of opinion on firesociety of what is best.   Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior.  Everyone has to decide what their priorities are.  Mine is the sovereignty of this great nation and I do not trust Fred Thompson to protect it.

To All - also join Numbers USA.  They send out faxes free on all illegal immigration issues and inform you when bills are coming up on which you need to let your Congressmen and Senators here your voice.

I fax and call everytime I am alerted to an issue that is on illegal immigration, and usually it is in a bill that has a million other issues in it and they attach some sort of "amenesty" provision under the radar and try to get it through.

Also Numbers USA alerted me this past week to a "open meeting" with a representative of Senator Barbra Boxers office.  I found out a couple of days before - ONLY because of the Numbers USA alert.  I changed my work schedule around so I could attend.  While there, one man said that he found the "notice" of the meeting at the back of the newspaper, in the tiny littler corner and he felt that the Senator was "home on the Aug break" and had to report back that she held meetings with her constituents, and so put this notice as a way to document that she had "tried".

The meeting was held in a library and when I arrived there were NO signs that showed there was a meeting taking place. I had to go to information in the library to find out that the meeting was outside of the library, in an upstairs room.  When I got off the elevator, outside the door was a small sign that said Senator Boxer.  The library was filled with people, but I doubt any of them new about the meeting over their head.

When I met with Cory Jackson, the Field Representative, I went over my issues with the border fence or lack there of, Sanctuary cities and then had alot of facts / data that Numbers USA had supplied to me in regards to illegal immigrants and their drain on the American tax payer.  I spent about 15 minutes with him.  He said that other citizens had come today and also had spoken about their concerns with the lack of the border fence.  I also told him I wanted the Senator to vote against the Farm / Ag bill put up by Senator Feinstein.

I don't know if it did any good, but one other gentlemen was their with his issues and stated, "I send letters and emails and all I get is a "prepared reply".  He said I feel that no one is listening.  I went up and agreed with him and said yes-me too!

The lobbyist have people in Washington, in the flesh, going door to door in offices for a reason.  Squeaky wheel - gets the grease.  FACE time does count.

Join Numbers USA and if they alert you to meetings of your Congressmen and Senators in your areas - GO!  Let them see your face and hear your voice in the flesh.

I particpated in a MM protest yesterday.  I'm convinced we are heading for a civil war.  Hispanic agenda certainly seem to take over our country.

By the way,  participation in local MM chapters is a good way to keep the no-amnesty issue out in the public and hopefully encourage more people to see the light. 

I again found the MM to be non-confrontational. One Hispanic dude on a bicycle tried to hit a MM with a flag.  Police arrested him.  Another group of 25 or so tried to confront our group--again the police told them to get lost.  Passing motorists overwhelmingly honked or a gave a thumbs up.  The Hispanic motorists said 'F... you", shouted other obcenities, gave us the finger, told us to go back to Europe etc.  Some had Mexican flags  hanging out the windows of their cars.

One of the MM from Omaha, NE had a bullhorn and he frequently sang Senator Hagel's praises--Hagel is PRO AMNESTY.  Omaha MM also recently led a protest at Hagel's office.

Hopefully, this helps create a greater awareness of the problem.. The only problem is we need citizen action!  NOW!!
