Inhofe throws support to Fred Thompson

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe threw his political support to unannounced presidential candidate Fred Thompson today.

Speaking to the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning, Inhofe said he expects the former actor and Tennessee senator to announce a bid for the presidency soon.

Inhofe said he will support Thompson, when he announces.

Thompson is the only Republican who has a chance to defeat Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., in the general election, Inhofe said.

Hmmmm..That's weird. Well, maybe not Melinda. I can see that. Fred and Inhofe have a lot in common come to think of it. I am still sticking with Tom T. but you know that. We aren't here to debate that. Saw your post and had to say hello is all.

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe threw his political support to unannounced presidential candidate Fred Thompson today.

Speaking to the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning, Inhofe said he expects the former actor and Tennessee senator to announce a bid for the presidency soon.

Inhofe said he will support Thompson, when he announces.

Thompson is the only Republican who has a chance to defeat Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., in the general election, Inhofe said.

I got a good laugh out of the comments section.  Every liberal in Tulsa came out of the woodwork for this one.  Must be doing something right!

Excellent.  Fred Thompson has the temperment and the where-with-all to intellectually, financially and politically push back when pushed and make it stick.  I'm still chuckling over Michael Moore's Cuban cigar diatribe which made him look even goofier than before, were that possible.  He has zero credibility minus some and I don't think he'll be wanting to pick on my man Fred in the future.

Fred Thompson is going to be the candidate to hate.  The libs hate him and the Republican hopefuls like Tancredo and Paul really hate him.  He walks in and they are immediately diminished and they know it.  Worse, what can they do?  Little to nothing to even less.  Even so they'll get behind him once he accepts the nomination.  Well, I would say Tancredo will at least.  Paul is probably intending to go third party. 

Everyone who signed Senator Inhofe's petition and supports Tom Tancredo has probably received a message from the Senator asking for campaign funds.

I am suggesting you go to his web mail and tell him you want to be removed from his email list because you are giving your money to Tom Tancredo.

I have asked to be removed from his email listings as I have received at least two requests for money for his re-election campaign in 2008, after I signed the petition several months ago. Thank you for the information. 

Tom has given his heart and soul to the campaign and to the American people.  He has stood on all the issues and has put himself on the line for what is right, and has not back downed or gone the easy route, nor has he had millions of dollars placed in his lap.  He has done the down in the trenches work that others haven't, and he is a grassroots candidate of integrity and has proven that with his record.

Inhofe obviously has something to gain from alliancing himself with Thompson.

I do not know Fred at all.  I just know he talks in circles and can't seem to make up his mind.
