Here is a free number you can use to call and let them know how you feel.

Ask for your Senators or Congressman.

Switchboard

1-866-220-0044

Let them know about any and all issues you are concerned with.  They will get the message even if they are on vacation.

Top on the list for me is the Secure the Border,  Build the Fence,  No Mexican Trucks, Deport Illegals, Enforce The Law, etc...

I was able to get right through, so they are not getting enough calls.

Let them know you do not approve of the Summit in Canada.

We need to keep calling, and e-mailing.   We need to let them know we are still here.  If they are not hearing from us, they will think we are excepting what is going on.

Tell them what you think.  Tell them what you have learned.

What I have learned is that we have politicians that could care less what we the people think.

Even if they don't care what we think they care about getting elected. SSR is correct in saying we need to keep calling, keep faxing and keep emailing our congressmen. The only thing most of them care about is getting elected. If nothing else remember what Jesus said in Luke 11:5-10:5 Then he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, 6 because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.' 7 "Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.' 8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs. 9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. If enough people call, fax and email they will eventually do the right thing just as they did with the amnesty bill.

Blaze 77535 - sorry don't agree -"What I have learned is that we have politicians that could care less what we the people think."

Just look at John McCain.  He is now at 11% in NATIONAL polls.  Coming in 4th behind Giuliani, Romney, Thompson - he is now a 2nd tier.

They do care when they are out of office, because the people have spoken with their votes.

Now we just need McCain and Kyle out of the Senate and a couple of new Senators (like Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo) in to replace them.

Ray - you could also add - for everyone who asks "votes" receives.

After what just happened in Newark, I would like to see Arlen try to get away with that.  People in NJ and Penn are not stupid and there is more on the news daily now - in the "support our Federal Laws"than ever before.

I understand Arlen had some "town hall meetings" when he was home and they didn't go so well - with lots of questions about his support for amnesty.

I also think the "open borders" / Micheal Chertoff team thought that the "arrest" of ELVIRA ARELLANO'S would create this - "oh we can't secure our borders, because it is breaking up families" back lash against enforcing the law.

BUT here in LA - the news media's reported the arrest and only noted her long list of felonies, ie she stole a social security card identity.

On Lou Dobbs show the same thing - they even questioned if she was being used as a "pawn" for open border advocates.

Here is what Glenn Beck had on his show - which repeated at least two shows yesterday:

GLENN: For every mother that is out there just trying to do the jobs that Americans just won't do like clean airplanes with false ID, those things, for every mother that is out there, there's also a story that just confuses me, that just says what are we thinking?

And then there are these stories. This one happened on 4th of August. Four college kids gunned down, robbery attempt. Three died. The sister of one of the murdered managed to survive a gunshot wound to the head. It was an 18-year-old, a 20-year-old, another 20-year-old. They and the sister were not only robbed and shot, they were murdered in cold blood. The dirtbags lined these kids up, had them kneel down in the ground and then shot them in the head execution style. People say, oh, it's just some revenge, gang-related killing.

No, uh-uh. All of the victims were by all accounts good kids who were attending college on their way to escaping the hell hole that is Newark, New Jersey. Sixty murders, by the way, and counting this year.

The mainstream media now is using this story for the big gun debate. "We've got to get guns off the streets. Once we get guns off the streets, then everything will be fixed."

Uh-huh." It will be peachy in Newark, New Jersey." Sure it will. Despite all the rhetoric that you're hearing or about to hear and will continue to hear about the bogus gun debate, let it not detract from the real crime in all of this, the crime that the media and the politicians just don't want you to notice, that one of the suspects, the oldest of the group, was an illegal immigrant from Peru. The New York Times failed to point this out when they reported a 28-year-old construction worker from Peru. Oh. Well, that's great.

If that isn't enough for you, how about this. Jose Carranza, illegal immigrant from Peru, had two prior felony arrests, two. Yeah. January 18th he was arrested on ten counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. A child. A little girl. Fifteen counts of child endangerment and five counts of sexual assault on a child under the age of 5. That was January 18th. He was set free on a bail of $200,000. Judge Watson health set him free. January 29th, superior court Judge John Kennedy reduced the bail to $150,000. Why wouldn't you reduce the bail? That's awfully stiff for -- what was it? I'm sorry -- 10 counts of aggravated sexual assault on a child, 15 counts of child endangerment and five counts of sexual assault on a child under the age of 5? Why would you ask somebody to pay an awful lot of money on bail for something like that?

Oh, by the way, he was first arrested on October 1st after a bar fight and charged with aggravated assault and weapons possession, set the bail for $50,000, but he was out on a reduced bail three days later. By the way, after the reduced bail after the child assault, he was out the next day. Then on May 3rd he was arrested on six counts of aggravated sexual assault on a child, two counts of sexual assault on a 4-year-old and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Set bail for $300,000. May 17th, another judge consolidated the two sexual abuse cases and lowered the bail to $150,000, having already posted the $150,000, he walked out without ever paying a dime. This is the -- what do they call it in the New York Times? I'm sorry. They called him a 28-year-old construction worker from Peru. That seems accurate. He is from Peru; he was working construction, in between the time he was molesting children. He was doing construction.

What, was that important? Oh, molesting children thing and being here illegally?

You know, Mark Steyn talks about the New York headline, the New York Times headline that says "Sorrow and anger as Newark buries explain youth." Sorrow and anger. They also said the three suspects, two 15-year-olds and a 28-year-old construction worker from Peru had been arrested. Robbery was the motive. They didn't go into it.

Let me ask you this. Do you remember the Matthew Shepard Act, passed by the house of representatives? The Matthew Shepard Act.

Where is the outrage? Where is the outrage? Where is anyone who is willing to stand up and say enough of illegal immigration? You know, you've got Geraldo Rivera who will say, oh, these people -- how many murders have happened in New Jersey? Sixty this year, sixty in Newark, New Jersey. Well, how come you're not talking about the other sixty? Well, because the other sixty are just murders.

Did this one have to happen? Did the second bout of child rape have to happen? Let's say the guy was a citizen. Did the second bout of child rape have to happen?

No. Now, why was this guy not deported? Why was this guy not under lock and key? Because, don't ask, don't tell. Because New Jersey is not allowed to report this to ice. I

If a teacher, if a kid says, "Mommy touched me," even if Mommy didn't touch him, the school must report it.

In New Jersey, God forbid, you can't -- he was arrested for child what? And he's an illegal? I can't ask and I can't tell ice. I can't get this guy out of the country. This guy should have never left jail.

So while you're thinking about the poor little 8-year-old just looking for a Dreamsicle here in America, remember the three kids that are dead.

While you're looking at mom and saying, well, jeez, Mom is being separated and that evil United States government has separated them. The United States government is not separating mom and child. Mom is doing that because this country has value.

But you know what? As long as we don't enforce our own laws, as long as we don't use common sense, the longer that happens, the smaller the value of this country becomes. It's time we start valuing it again and protecting it, and her citizens.

So this time Arlen might just find a different attitude in the air, as news organizations are finally coming out and saying "on the air" what people have been thinking all along.

Heh!  Even the San Francisco Chronicle had an article on the arrest of Elvira that ended:

Only the most overzealous activist would support the notion that national borders have no meaning or that a country should let foreigners break their laws, trade in fraudulent documents and violate deportation orders with impunity.

It's bad enough that so many non-citizens freely break this country's duly-enacted laws. But when they feel that they can break our laws openly and without consequence, they have to go. Or all respect for the law will go.

And this is "Sanctuary City Heaven" according to the Mayor of San Fran.

Tell them to build that fence.  Stop the invasion.  No Mexican Trucks.  English is our language.  Tell them to come out into the real world and see what people are dealing with.  If you live in an area that has been over taken, mention that area to them, tell them to come see for themselves.  If you live in an area where the schools are overcrowded, tell them where it is, what the conditions are.  Give them statistics.

Tell them, HELP, HELP, we need HELP out here.  If you know of an incident of unrest in your area, tell them to watch the police reports in these newspapers.   Tell them about hospital closing's in your area.  Tell them about your property taxes going up.

President Bush is pushing the senate to pass the Law of the Sea Treaty.  This is another UN attempt to control the United States.  Ronald Reagan fought this when he was in office.  Clinton and Bush have both supported the passage of this treaty.  It is coming up again when the senate comes back in September.  We need to join other organizations to fight this treaty.  I am listing the UN site that explains what this treaty is.  Please call the senate and let them know we oppose this.

I sent my congressman a message telling him I would like a full blown investigation of La Raza, and all their satelite offices across our country.  I found where there is a big scam in the lending practices in housing.  I do not know if they are involved in this, but I think they need to be investigated.  I would like to know if they have wired money to Mexico.  The only audit I could find on them was a few years ago and was very vague.  I think it is time to find out exactly what this group is doing with our tax dollars.

McAllen’s Municipal Park a haven for immigrants

August 26, 2007 - 11:24PM

The Monitor
A man sleeps on a bench in the early morning at McAllen Municipal Park. Homeless individuals using the park as a refuge has caused the McAllen Parks department to have to clean the park and restrooms daily.
McALLEN — Sprawled across a concrete picnic table at the center of the park, a group of young men recently arrived from Honduras and Nicaragua to share a beer and discuss where they might find a room for the night.

The conversation drifts to the availability of work in New Orleans before a police car passes through the park’s parking lot, turning everyone silent.

“They’re always coming in here and giving us trouble,” one man, who declined to give his name, said in Spanish.

Over the last year, Municipal Park — located in central McAllen off 23rd Street — has become a haven for undocumented immigrants.

On their way north or looking to stay put here, new arrivals from Central America and Mexico seem to inevitably find their way to this particular piece of city green space.

Recently, their presence has caught the attention of city officials, who — incensed by the sheer number of people sleeping in the park and the trash they leave behind — are trying to force the undocumented immigrants out.

In the mornings, parks maintenance crews herd just-awoken men and women out before the crews begin their regular clean-up.

In the afternoons and evenings, police patrols regularly pass by, occasionally calling in U.S. Border Patrol agents to arrest anyone unable to provide proof of immigration status, said McAllen police Chief Victor Rodriguez.

“We’re limited in what we can do because it is a public-access facility,” he said. “It’s a nuisance for the people in the neighborhood and unfair for the people who go there. It spills over into the park and we have to deal with it.”

The park’s attraction seems to be tied to the nearby Salvation Army shelter.

The only facility of its kind in the city, the Salvation Army offers two free meals a day and bed space for 65.

More so, the front of the property has become a gathering spot for day laborers, who in the mornings stand waiting for construction foremen and landscapers to come by and offer work.

“They’re here trying to get established and often finding it very difficult,” said Dan Ford, a Salvation Army officer and pastor.

“There’s not enough work to keep them going, just a day here and a day there. And if they don’t find work they’re stuck hanging around all day.”

Salvation Army policy forbids anyone not residing in the shelter from being inside between meals.

Municipal Park, only a couple hundred yards away and complete with bathrooms and trees to sit under, would be an obvious place to spend the day for those who can’t find work.

There, different groups — some composed of undocumented immigrants and some not — set up around the picnic tables.

They take turns walking to the convenience store across the street for beer and food, as teenage boys noisily roll back and forth in the adjacent skate park.

If the police come by, the immigrants might leave for an hour or two.

But most have caught on to the fact that city police don’t have the authority to enforce immigration law.

“One of the officers asked me if I had documentation. I told him I did and he said fine,” said one man who gave his name as Antonio in Spanish. He said he actually lived nearby illegally with his sisters and mother.

“I saw it on a show back in Mexico.

“They can’t do anything. I know my rights.”
