      Bugsygirl,

Fred is a much more Authoritative and polished speaker than "w".  I pray he does not have the George Bush globalist policy leanings.   I cannot wait to hear Fred say something unequivocally black and white about real issues so I can get a comfort level with him.

Answers like his immediate YES answer to " Would you pardon Scooter Libby if President ?"

Would you pardon Border Agents Compean and Ramos and Sheriff Hernandez ?   Do you support NAFTA ?  do you Support the NAU ?  Will you demand that Homeland Security immediately build the border fence wall the American citizens have overwhelming demanded and congress funded last year?

TG

It is how the establishment works, either taint the candidate by putting someone with a negative perception in the campaign so another more trusted establishment candidate can win or offer help to the apparent winner so you can demand favors later.   You can bet that the Washington establishment has people in place with any candidate supported by the major media.   Hedge bets are part of a lot of successful endeavors.    I don't like it being a part of " government of the people and by the people "  though.   No place for it.

As much as many may distrust Karl Rove, the man is a genius.  I believe that Fred would benefit greatly employing Mr. Rove in some capacity.  That's just my opinion.  Good men kept in check are tremendous assets, may I cite General Patton as an example.

Leave Karl Rove alone, the man is brilliant. I already called Senator Leahy this morning and told him if he DARES to pursue Karl Rove with regard to the firing of the US Attorneys (who serve at the WHIM of ANY president) that he will find himself in the middle of a fire storm.

If you want to really get me on a roll about this....I will be forced to spew forth a venomous rant on why clinton fired ALL of his attorneys....

Enough said...leave the man alone.

       BioTechBabe and Gerald,

I am not going to attack Mr. Rove, plenty are already doing that.  For my own selfish benefit,  give me an example(s) of something he engineered that made you say,  wow ! no one else could have thought of that !  Thanks, Tom

Ok Tommy...the man is a master with tech writing and in 76-79 helped the GOP raise money (they had NONE) with his direct mail system...back then 400,000 dollars was a lot of money...and he raised it in a very short period of time.  In 1987-88 Karl Rove was integral in bringing "tort Reform'. Liberal trial lawyers were running amok in the 80's...stupid, idiotic lawsuits that NEVER should have made it to court were being won by these lib trial lawyers with exhorbitant amounts of money going to idiot defendants for STUPID lawsuits. An example would be the stupid woman who burned her tongue on coffee at Mcdonalds and made several million dollars for herself with the help of one of these LEECH trial lawyers. Karl Rove helped bring 'tort reform" to the front of the line and was responsible for shutting down these assinine trial lawyers. The case of the woman with the coffee is just an example  of stupid cases in this country's court system......all devised by Liberal trial lawyers so they could line their own pockets while IDIOTS like this woman get rich off a broken system. Suck it up witch, so you burnt your tongue...proves her IQ is SO LOW that she can not live unless she steals or cheats.

I HATE people who sue at the drop of a hat...I lived in Florida AND New York City...I have seen my share of scam artists and LAZY, STUPID people who get rich over STUPID LAWSUITS. These people should be hung just for their stupidity and greed to make a lawsuit out of NOTHING!

Don't you understand Tommy? Why do you think these "Attorneys" are so angry? Because Karl Rove has exposed them for what they are in the past-greedy, scam artists who don't really care about their clients, just the size of the company they are suing (like Mcdonalds) and relying on the stupidity of the general public to fall right in line with their agenda. I am SICK of it!

They have a VENDETTA against him and will do ANYTHING to have ignorant Americans believing that something wrong happened so they too will be against Karl Rove. What part of "They have a Vendetta" is so hard for people to understand?

It proves my point that MOST PEOPLE are  eager to "jump on a bandwagon" they know nothing about.

I have worked for some of the biggest law firms in this country...I KNOW how lawyers are...they ALL stick together. I worked for Greenspoon, Marder, Hirschfeld and Rafkin in Florida and JONES DAY in Cleveland....I KNOW lawyers!

Another man falls victim to the Liberals campaign to annihilate the Bush camp. The Liberals scored another victory today as Karl Rove stupidly resigns. The man did a tremendous job which the Liberals didn't like. The Left has four more to go- Rice, Gonzalez, Cheney and Bush himself. The road to a totally dominated Liberal gov't continues--that is really something that I always fear.

You must be out of your ever-loving mind to believe that Rove is a VICTIM.  No way is that man a victim.  You sound like a Liberal, with this "falls victim" crap.  This was planned, I am sure, and it will only be a matter of time before we find out exactly why he chose this particular moment.

BTBabe, Well spoken on both accounts. The only other person that I can think of that has a mind on equal par to Mr. Rove may be Newt Gingrich? I have a question. Just what is a straight answer anyway? Is it speaking what some want to hear or is it speaking what needs to be said even if some don't like what is being said? I also agree with you too marijam.

I am still waiting for a follow-up to this remark:

When I was driving home from Ames, Iowa yesterday, the only news talk radio station I could pick up for a while was NPR.

This came up, and a remark was made that almost made me drive off the road.  "Bush still has an approval rating in the low 60's among Republicans (????????????) and Thompson is beginning to position himself in the mold of the President."   A suggestion was made that Rove may be preparing for a VP position.

At least he is not a CFR member.

The word is though that Rove chose this time to leave because of some administrative rule that anyone in an administration on Sept. 1 has to stay through the end of the administration.  That means, if Rove did not leave now, he would have to stay where he is until Jan.'09.

A little off topic, but watch the movie "Supersize Me" and you may not want to eat at McDonald's ever again.  I swore it off the last time I felt my gut was about to explode after eating there.  It may be off-topic but it may save you a severe stomach-ache.

Ummm,. sorry, but in WA state, where one of those attnys was fired, we were pretty happy with him--he was doing a GREAT job, especially catching drug runners across the Canadian border !!  Rumor has it he was fired because he would not sue the democratic party for "fixing" an election that only a handful  of delusional Repubs thot was fixed to begin with!!

If you have to hyphenate your race--you are NOT an American!! This from a French-German-English-Irish-AMERICAN! See how silly this can become?
