I would encourage everybody to make a commitment to fax,e-mail or call on behalf of these Agents everyday, we are getting closer to getting them out, lets not let up now.

It only takes a few minutes of our day, this is a small price to pay to get them out of prison, they are totally innocent of any crime, the only people that think their guilty are those that haven't read facts about how sick this conviction was.

Johnny Sutton can't go before the House Committee and swear under oath without committing Perjury, all the lies he pedaled on talk shows won't fly under oath. We must demand he appear or resign.

I just could not stand it any longer. I had to get a few things off my chest. Here is a copy of a letter I sent President Bush recently on Border Immigration, Agents Campeon and Ramos, and Immigration Law reform. I have a hard time believing that those I have supported for so long appear to have foresaken the very people who have supported them. I and many of the "quiet" majority are coming to life and getting active. Encourage others to do the same.

Dear Mr. President.
You recently stated that Johnny Sutton was a friend of yours of long standing and is a fair guy.

From where I sit, and from what I have been seeing and hearing, this may only be partially true. The part that may be true is the length of your friendship. The rest does not entirely appear to be as stated. Perhaps time will tell.

As this drama unfolds, many American Citizens wonder on what side of the fence you stand. On the American side, with compassion and concern for it's citizens; or, on the the other side, cozy with special interests and a don't-give-a-rip attitude for the things that so many American Citizens have paid dearly for in the past. Have you a secret agenda that is becoming more difficult to conceal as you tend to use your high office to force your view of your perceived outcome? Regardless of opinion of the U.S. Citizen?  Again, perhaps time will tell.

The unfortunate reality of this is that  exemplary terms as President of the United States is starting to show signs of unflattering staining that are starting to rub off from events that, at least from appearances from my perspective, do not appear to be in the best interests of U.S. Citizens, or reflect what most of us had thought to be our reality, our Comfort Zone. ie: that we have leadership truly looking out for our overall welfare.

This incident with Border Agents Ramos and Compean is one such example that really jumps out. How is it possible that an obvious low life, drug smuggling, law breaking illegal alien be given so much over U.S. Citizens trying to do their jobs? ( I will not state whether they were doing a good job or not, but they certainly are being treated far less civilly than what a prudent American Citizen would expect. And, upon closer scrutiny, even appearing more appalling to us. Suttons own explanations and attitude reinforce the perceptive attitude that "something is rotten here".

Perhaps it is vernacular, but appearances are that persons whom have arrived here illegally are getting preferential treatment over legal immigrants and : shockingly, legal U.S. Citizens  as well! A condition that is appearing to be getting worse with scrutiny.

Workplace preferential &/or control by proponents of illegal alien workforce entities is not only threatening the U.S. Worker, but has actually forced him/her from making a lively-hood in his/her own specialty. This reality has been going on for years because no one has gone against it, let alone enforce existing laws.

Aliens doing work no one else will do?  "Baloney!" I still wash my car, mow my lawn, do my housework, chores and repairs myself. Many of the jobs cited by the proponents above, I have done myself and so have, and will most, U.S. Citizens. The claim "Jobs no one else will do.." is grossly overstated, and is a lie.

It takes a lot of persuasion to nudge a dyed-in-the-wool Republican such as myself to change his opinion on the man he has championed for years. True, there have been times when I have disagreed with you on issues but we have never been far apart on much of anything. I supported virtually all of your domestic programs. I superficially wondered about some of your activities in foreign affairs but allowed your proximity to better information than I had to be the deciding factors on your thinking and trusted you in your decisions in those matters. I think there are many such as myself.

I wholeheartedly supported your decision to go into Iraq and depose Saddam Hussien. As far as I am concerned, that war was over when that slimy bastard was pulled from his hiding place.

Embracing the total reconstruction of a defeated country on our own dime has never been my favored policy, but I figure I am not the one to force that change. (no matter how much it pisses me off)

Dumping Billions of dollars and many lives to try to impose a Western Style Democracy on a country who has been under tribal/secular control, periodically dominated by a tyrant, is not something I think even our best minds are going to be able to institute in any reasonable/affordable time. And to attempt such a thing without any recovery by the taxpaying U.S. Citizen? It makes even less sense to me.

The maniacal extreme left that are still gloating over taking over Congress and have their sights on your job still need to be taken to task on a few things. And you are still the man to do it. Show the citizens of the U.S. you are still in charge. Show em you got a pair! There are still Centrists in the Legislature receptive to "Leadership" aside from Party Politics I am sure.

There is a lot of passion going about the country over Ramos and Compean. This thing has been handled terribly. Commute these men. Give them back to their families. Give the rest of the Border Patrol some confidence in their leadership. Correct what was operationally wrong to allow such a thing to happen in the first place.

Enforce existing laws that were designed to control our Borders. See that new ones are instituted to fill the gaps. Do it without earmarks or "Riders". Be straight up about it.

Appearances are that you are OK with what has happened. I cannot believe it is so. Show me and the rest of the Country that you can see where a wrong has been committed and will take action to correct it!

This is and would be a great step in showing the public that efforts are moving forward in getting our Borders secure. This is one issue that will not go away and will increase in groundswell. Be the man who kicked it in the butt and put it in motion! Put some fire under those that are charged to get things done. There is no plausible excuse for these things not to happen in a respectable amount of time. If Mexico gets the revolution that is far overdue down there, you will be glad those controls are in place.

Do not tie Border Security laws into Immigration Laws. The two must be separate. Border Security has to come first. Immigration Laws have to abide by Border Security mechanics. No other way will work.

Take "Amnesty" out of your thoughts in any way, shape, or form when directed to those who have already broken our laws, enforced or not. To do otherwise may result in teeth-marks on your fanny that will never be able to be rubbed away.

Your tenure as Commander in Chief is running to it's close. You still have a lot of work to do. Don't squander what I know you are capable of in the wrong direction. Many of us are still counting on you.

A long time supporter,
Richard Flewelling

The imprisioning of these Border Agents is the biggest miscarriage of justice I have ever seen.

When you read the trial transcripts you can't believe how the Judge and prosecuter ran the whole show, as I've said before it was a Conviction they wanted not Justice.

I see a lot of people saying they want the pardon even though they think the Agents did some wrong things, These Agents did exactly what we would want them to do,the only people who think they were wrong are those who bought some of Johnny Sutton's lie's, poor Mexican peasant trying to help his mother, shot in the back, trying to surrender all lies.

We must keep the pressure on President Bush and Johnny Sutton.

"Fluke" I could't agree with you more, I see a great apathy with the American people, I don't like it , but let somebody else take care of it attitude.I was a Bush supporter all the way until he climbed in bed with his NAU buddies and tried to blackmail us into securing the border.  I think he would have pardoned Ramos and Compean if his Amnesty Bill would have passed, all would have been love and kisses. I said Bush climbed into bed with his NAU buddies that was a mistake, He's been running this NAU crap since day one, keep the Illeagles and Drugs flowing into this Country with only a half hearted effort to stop them ,and if they do try, through them in jail for 11 & 12 years so the other Agents will come to their senses.

We have got to get these good men out of Prison!!

I agree with a lot of what you say but I am a realist.  The petitioning Congress stunt didn't work, did it?  It couldn't, Congress can't pardon.  The Congressional hearing stunt didn't work, did it.  The Congressional hearing did far more harm than good.  Sorry, but that is true.  The non funding of their imprisonment stunt didn't work, did it?  That was just political posturing and all show.

What will work?  The justice system doing the right thing and giving them another trial.  Will they then be vindicated and found not guilty.  Not likely but it is at least a chance for them.  I think they should have taken the plea bargains offered them.

Consider this, "In 1964, a write-in campaign organized by supporters of former U.S. Senator and vice presidential nominee Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. won Republican primaries for President in New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, defeating declared candidates Barry Goldwater, Nelson Rockefeller, and Margaret Chase Smith."

For the whole article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Write-in_candidate

While you are correct, statistically speaking, perhaps the opinions of the times, and the level of public dissatisfaction, have risen to the level where such a strategy could again become viable.

However, those of us who were Goldwater supporters did not like this outcome at all.

I am proud of these Agents not taking the plea bargain as that would be an admission of guilt. That's what the prosecution wanted, no publicity just a nice conviction and a few months in jail and all is quiet. We need to put this in the local papers and harass the media, Congress,Homeland security if the people would react like they did with the Amnesty Bill we could have them out quickly. Sutton wanted them to admit guilt to relieve him of any pressure. Agent sipes got his conviction overturned , We can do the same for Ramos and Compean. We need thousands of calls and fax's to jam their switchboards

I think we have seen a prime example of what our Criminal Justice System is capable of.

Compean and Ramos are only a single example of what is wrong. We all can go on and on about travisties of Justice and change nothing through the talk. What is needed, is a groundswell effort to change it to what it should be throughout our whole legal system. The guilty being punished to the extent of their crime and the innocent vindicated. Victims vindicated and damages compensated justly.

We have a legal system that is so far out of whack it stinks and there is no on-going mechanism in place to clean it up and straighten it out. Ramos and Comean are only two of countless thousands of law enforcement personell in this country who have laws they cannot enforce, policies they cannot maintain, and unclear instructions on procedures as to how to do their jobs. This has to be terribly confusing, intimidating and frustrating. The leadership in these agencies can only be deemed poor, and it goes to the highest of levels.

I am very vehement about going to the top when protesting something and in The Ramos and Compean example, a "Presidential Action" is the quickest and most effective way to handle this one. If he can in effect "Pardon" 12 to 40 million criminals with a swipe of his pen (an amnesty for people who broke our laws as a first physical action when they came here ) he sure as hell can Pardon two Border Guards that got swept up in what for all intents and purposes, is a miscarriage of Justice that stinks to high heaven.

On top of that, he needs to start using the trust bequeathed to him by the voting public to enforce the Federal Laws that are already in place to control our borders and provide means to allow new laws to fill the gaps in existing law and bring the language up to date on new ones that will be required to fill existing holes in the law.

States need to be included in the actions and not have this issue as bargaining chips on "Pork Barrel Politics" for "special interests". Our borders are everyone's interests.

I believe I read somewhere "We The People...."

"We the People...." are all immigrants. Or decendants of immigrants. ALL OF US.

I believe "We the People...." are  the folks that came here legally and built this country into what it is today, faults and all.

It is up to "We the People...." to keep control of this Country's sovereignty. NOT cow tow to a hoard of people who cannot, or will not take the time, effort and expense to create the things, they instantly desire from us, in thier own home lands from whence they came.

"We the People...." are the most generous people on this planet. I do not have to list to prove that. It is a well known fact. But, wisdom throws Caution our way as we cannot be expected to bring the entire planet to our level of civilization and certainly not house them here. There is a limit to what our resources can endure. To try, will eventually turn the whole planet into a place of "Have Not". World Economy's depend on our way of life.

Control of who crosses our borders and how many are allowed to stay and become citziens has to be controlled.

The United States of America with unguarded open borders and open and unregulated social systems is the kiss of doom to the "Pillar of Light" world-wide for those who aspire for the same kind of life. To allow our sovereignty to fail will extinquish that light, as there no longer will be a flame for it to be cast from.

These are dangerous times for our Country. "We the People....." need to be vigilant.

I'd like to see someone,(I wouldn't know how), set up a private fund that people could sign on to that would automatically bang a credit card or draw from a bank account a set amount each month to go toward supporting the families of these men.  I've met their families & donated hundreds of dollars to them.  One time we passed the hat because Monica Ramos lost her job & was about to lose the house.  I believe that an ongoing support fund is in order because as long as Mr. Bush is in the White House there will be innocent border agents in jail.  Any of you patriots have the will & the knowlege to do such a thing?

And when is Newt Gingrich going to express his views on the Ramos and Compean imprisonments?  He indicated he would way back in March when interviewed by Steve Elliott.

That may be true, it was when I voted for Perot.  But I must vote my conscience.  If we all would just do that we could have a president that is a real American Patriot!!  I think it's worth the chance.

Today, on Rush Limbaugh (RL), Karl Rove (KR) was interviewed.  A transcript of the interview is provided at: http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_081507/content/01125106.guest.html

There have been a couple of forum titles started on the retirement of KR.  Most of those who posted to these described him as "brilliant", "articulate", "intelligent", etc., etc.  If anyone who reads this takes the time to follow the above link they will notice a couple of things.  First, never are the words border, illegal alien, fence, security, drugs, smuggler, or any of the other things that are uppermost in the minds of most that follow government policies today.  And, of course, neither are Ramos or Compean mentioned.  So it would seem that we Americans are in a real fix, because none of those that are so highly touted as leaders, be they Democrat or Republican, wish to deal with the issues most Americans care about.

Any person that is in a leadership position that can't be bothered to address the situation of these Border Patrol Agents does not deserve our respect, or any of the other superlatives that are ascribed to them so undeservedly.  It seems that all they care about is working the political machines that will put them in power.

I fear that people are moving on to other problems and are forgetting these Agents. I'm thankfull for all the good people on this Fire Society as it seems they have not forgotten.

I keep writing to Nacho and Jose', hoping to have some good news on their release, it seems with the House and Senate hearing's they would surely have to intercede on their behalf. I fear outside of a few good Congressmen our Country is in desperate straights. We have come to the end that we punish the good and reward the wicked, if thats politically rewarding.

I don't see how they can call it the Justice Dept. or Homeland Security.

It's very sad when people can tell you all about "American Idol" but have never heard about Ramos and Compean or the North American Union.

Grassfire has a doners page where you can give to both family's with one donation. We must keep hammering at the media, as they will get the movers on the air. I'm sure Sutton & Co. is hoping we run out of gas.
