Associated Press: 3 Mexican men accused of running a prostitution ring in Northeast Alabama catering to Hispanic men paid women $15 to perform sex acts and hired a bounty hunter to pose as a cop to shut down rival operations. They sent over $1,000 every three days to the owner of the illicit operation in Mexico. One woman reported to have had sex with over 80 men daily towards the end of each week. Women from 8 Latin American countries worked in the trailer park brothel in Marshall County. The ring raided in February took in as much as $800,000 a year and operated for around 7 years.
Jose Fernandez-Gonzalez, 25; brothers Miguel Leon Mora, 31 and Jose Elias Morada-Guillen, 41 were charged with conspiracy, enticing an alien to engage in prostitution, and transporting an alien across state lines for illegal sexual activity. All are Mexican citizens. Mirada was previously deported as an illegal alien in 1989, was charged with illegally re-entering.
They face 20 years in prison and $250,000 fines
The business was owned by Martin Gonzalez, brother of Leon and Mirada. The women were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba, Columbia, Ecuador, and El Salvadore.
