110th CONGRESS - 1st Session - H. RES. 499

Have you read this?  It's the first bit of actual good sense I have seen come out of Congress in years.  In fact, it is so good, that I wonder whether it is real!

H.R. 499 contains too much common sense, something Congress finds foreign. It is apparently too much to ask of our elected officials to enforce anything that works. They want to fix our "broken" laws as they have lobbyists, Hispanic interest groups, and bagmen to answer to. That we have come down to having to fight at a grassroots level to force our government to enforce established law illustrates just how unfit those who serve us are.

When the other shoe drops, it will be one of Kennedy's discards that was given to him by NCLR.

This is nothing more than pandering to those of us that raised hell during the shamnesty debate. They will introduce this and knowing the attention span of the american peoples obsession with Lindsay Lohan, Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton it will die in the house. We the American people will sit back and wonder what happened. Univision had a tear jerker program on last night. This immigration issue is going to be the cause of my divorce as my wife who is Mexican thinks every body in Mexico should be here.

I sent them all an email yesterday telling them prison workers should be the answer to their farm work needs. I do beleive though, they dont want an answer, they want an excuse.

Wow, enforcing our laws----what a concept for the members of congress to come up with.  Makes one wonder what was going through their heads as they took their oaths of office in the first place.
