I was sent this link and thought it well done, and wanted to share it....I believe Americans overall do not connect all of the terrorist attacks over time, and some believe the 911 was the first..interesting and informative.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND “JIHAD”
Everyone needs to take a few minutes and watch this!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a powerful video -- if you haven't seen it before. It moves quickly but there are pause, reverse & play buttons on bottom right. MOST interesting is how the map "tells the story" of expansion.

I do. It's the real backbone of Islam that we must be made aware of and very quickly. People like Sean Hannity, Dr.Jack Van Impe and others who think that Islam is love had better wake up. People though like Pat Robertson, myself, my friends at church and some of us here at fire society who know that Islam (the religion) is evil I hope will show the ones who are blind that the real face of Islam is rapidly rising.
Sean Hannity, the man who understands what America should stand for.
Islam is the fastest growing religion on earth and does so through false doctrine. Islam is portrayed as a religion of peace but more important as one of high social and moral values. It is a one of strict order and structure which some find appealing in that there are no shades of gray. Non-muslims are seen as evil and destructive to a peaceful world order and therefore must be destroyed so that the corruption of other religions might not contaminate Islam. Whether they admit it or not it is the duty of all muslims to either convert others to Islam or destroy them if they will not convert. The call to "jihad" is seen as a holy war to rid the world of corruption as the muslim views it.
Once I did some volunteer work at the county jail, oh! about 20 years ago. There was a young man doing time in the jail that was proselytizing for Islam to other inmates. Wow! talk about an eye-opener. I couldn't enter the dialogue but sure wanted too. He sure had about 6-7 of these other inmates mesmerized also. That was 20+ years ago too.
I've always contended that bad politics begin with bad theology. And I don't know that it gets much worse than the teachings of Islam. It's a dangerous and brutal theocracy which in truth knows nothing of God as revealed in Scripture. The sooner the jihadists are either defeated or convinced that America will never submit to Muslim agendas and will always stand firmly with its allies against Islam's militancy.
My personal preferences is that we carpet bomb them into submission in Iraq, covertly wreck havoc on them in Iran, and hunt them down like rabid dogs in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Regarding the West Bank and Gaza Strip as well as Lebanon and Syria I'd like to see us assist Isarael relentlessly pound them into surrender from their terrorism and to cause them to surrender their jihadist warfare in the region.

bww. So true. Like Patton said unless it's a parking lot we're not pulling out of anything. So if that's what is necessary, make it a parking lot. Pussyfooting around only pisses of our own. Hope Thompson realizes this?
Making others aware of the true nature of Islam is up to us.
Our elected leaders won't do it.
The mainstream media won't do it.
Its each one teach two. That will lead to exponential growth if the chain is not broken.
If you have read good books about Islamic Jihad, share them with others. If you have a copy of Islam: What the West Needs to Know, show it to your friends.
Start a blog. You will find useful resources at Crusader's Armory. Print and distribute some of my fliers. Promote the on line petitions, there is no better way to spread the word rapidly.
Actually, in order to understand Islam one should not watch this video but instead read the Koran or do some real academic inquiry into the subject. Jihad is a concept akin to Christian sanctification: the personal struggle to be pure, to purge oneself of all that is bad, and to become more whole. The radical Islamist leaders who practice terrorism today are not actually engaging in real jihad; they have misinterpreted the Koranic idea of jihad to suit their personal political goals.
It is unfortunate that the responders to this post have all concluded that the video reflects the "true Islam". It is obvious that none of you have met or spoken with a fair-minded Muslim. If you have, perhaps you decided that they represented "fake" or "watered down" Islam? If you happen to be a Christian (as I am), would you consider the Crusaders and Inquisitors of medeival European Christianity to be the "real Christians"? Certainly the Muslim inhabitants of Palestine felt the same about the Christian intruders as we do today about the perpetrators of the 9.11 attacks.
Accompanied by epic music fit for a Hollywood film, this video is an embarrassment to the American intellect. Who can deny the reality of violent, political Islamism? Who can say that we shouldn't oppose it and sometimes fight against it? Of course it is a dangerous reality in the world today. This video is not aimed at educating people or encouragign discussion about American foreign policy and international relations. It is designed to engender fear, achieve a political goal, and elicit militant remarks like some of the ones posted in the above discussion. This video is not worthy of dialogue, except to highlight the various attempts by certain ideological leaders in this country (David Horowitz, in this case) to influence people toward a particular political goal.
Having read the Qur'an & Hadith and viewed the video, I testify that the video is true, realistic, honest, verifiable, and well short of displaying the full magnitude of the evil of Islam.
8:39 declares war on Pagans, to be fought until only Allah is worshiped in the whole world.
9:29 declares war on Jews, Christians, Sabeans & Zoriastrians to be fought until they are subjugated and pay extortion.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387 says that Muhammad was ordered to fight us until we submit. Only by reciting Shehada do we make our lives and property sacred to Muslims.
That is not Jihad al Nafs. It has nothing to do with subduing your passions or overcoming temptations. It has everything to do with conquest, rape, pillage and plunder.
Thats what Islam is. That is why I curse and condemn it. Follow the links. Learn for yourself what Islam is; what Islam does. Do not take anyone's word for it!!! Read all of Book 52 & Book 53 of Bukhari. Read all of Surahs 8 and 9, then read 48.
Mr. Ben Powell is right about seeking to understand Islam -- don’t take anyone’s word for it…especially not his.And may I add an addendum to that?Don’t look exclusively at neo-conservative, ideologically biased media (nor material biased by the Left) as you seek your answers. Please, if you wish to understand Islam and jihad, talk to a real, fair-minded Muslim, and do some objective academic inquiry into the nature, history, and purposes of the religion.
Ben Powell has not addressed any of the points I raised. He has only cited verses from the Koran -- taken entirely out of their socio-historical context -- and used them to prove the nature of “true Islam” as he views it.If we did the same with the Bible, we could easily conclude that the heart of Judaism and Christianity is militaristic opportunism and politically motivated violence, or that God Himself was a ruthless, violent deity.Consider the following verses taken out of context:
“God said, ‘I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel’.” (1 Samuel 17:47)
"He ordered the guards and officers to slaughter them all, and to let not a single one escape."God then said, ‘You have done well in carrying out what is right and have completed what I wanted done to the house of Ahab. Therefore your sons will be kings over Israel to the fourth generation’." (2 Kings 10:25,30)
"They were put to the sword, destroying them all…Joshua destroyed everyone. They did not leave anyone alive." (Joshua 11:12,14)
Therefore -- according to Ben Powell’s method of understanding religion -- Christianity is bent on destroying those who stand in the way of Judeo-Christian political goals (in this case, the attainment of the Promised Land).
Of course, such analysis of the Bible is intellectually irresponsible and flat-out dangerous. To take any verses out of context from any religious text and argue that they represent the entirety of a religion is preposterous.
Ben Powell and others are doing precisely what the Islamist terrorists do when they interpret the Koran: selectively pick-pocketing verses to suit a political end. Please be intellectually responsible and study the religion for yourself, apart from the chaotic voices of the ideologues and the talking heads.More importantly, talk personally with a Muslim, for God’s sake (and for America’s sake).
We can agree that violent extremists should be opposed vigorously. But we must not take the bait of the extremists and make this into a global ideological battle, lest our hearts be filled with hate and fear.
The first and foremost Islamic terrorist was Muhammad, the founder of the institution. Speaking for Allah, he sanctified and mandated terrorism. Speaking for himself, he bragged about using terrorism to win battles
3:151 We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allâh, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers). Hilali & Khan, USC-MSA, Ibn Kathir
8:12 (Remember) when your Lord inspired the angels, "Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes." Hilali & Khan, USC-MSA, Ibn Kathir
33:26-27 And those of the people of the Scripture who backed them (the disbelievers) Allâh brought them down from their forts and cast terror into their hearts, (so that) a group (of them) you killed, and a group (of them) you made captives. And He caused you to inherit their lands, and their houses, and their riches, and a land which you had not trodden (before). And Allâh is Able to do all things. Hilali & Khan, USC-MSA, Ibn Kathir
Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220I have been made victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand."
I have now displayed two ayat which clearly sanctify and mandate terrorism. I have quoted Hilali & Khan's translation and provided links to it and to Pickthall, Shakir & Yusuf Ali so that you can compare translations and read the full context. I have also provided links to Ibn Kathir's Tafsir which explains the ayat. To that ample evidence I have added two critical ahadith with links to source.
For those who need more proof, I now present a link to Riyad-us-Saliheen, Book 11, Chapter 234, which combines relevant ayat, ahadith & commentary in one convenient location.
For those who are undecided and require more proof, I offer three Tafsir by Ibn Kathir. Their titles alone should clue you in. Click them and read the Qadi's words.
If you have read the relevant ayat, ahadith and tafsir and still believe that I am a fool and a liar, then consult two eminent experts on Islamic law: al-Shafii & al-Ghazali.
Ben, thank you for the comments and the quotes. Muhammad had one meaning in common with all quoted - put fear or terror in their hearts. Instilling fear and terror is the mantra for the Islamofacists much like Muhammad did during the 6th and 7th Century. Rape, pillage, plunder and murder your way across the desert.
I'm a simple individual not a theologian or religious scholar, as a Catholic and Christian I am categorized as a non-believer. The consequences for non-believers are: convert, pay a muslim tax or death. Did I simplify it too much?
Now islamists are making a move throughout the world and aggressively in the USA to spread their religion and undertake a mission to manipulate America's laws and constitution to expand their religious beliefs and values. Our politicians, especially the democratic party are selling out themselves for the almighty dollar and almighty vote (another words "power).
You keep the quotes coming maybe it will start to resonate amongst Americans and they will awaken before it is too late.
Unfortunately, there is a limit to the number of readers who will see them here. I wanted to show other forum users where to find evidence and how to apply it in debate. That iswhy each piece of evidence is linked to source. Those sources contain more information that you can use.
Videos like those at T.A., Obsession and Islam: What the West Needs to Know grab the attention and serve as a wake up call. The writings of Robert Spencer, Andrew Bostom and other scholars fill in the gaps and maintain interest.
Our role is to make information available and stimulate interest. As I wrote earlier, its a matter of each one teach one. Forum posts, blogs, comments and letters to editors are some of the ways we can disseminate factual information about Islam.
To see my latest efforts, search for Know Thine Enemy and Myth vs Fact. There is another excellent resource which should be receiving publicity and readership: Three Faces East by H.J.S. Its running at politicalmafioso.

That is exactly the problem joelypoley. What kind of name is that anyway? Men cannot sanctify themselves or purge evil. This is only done by Christ, The Lamb of God, at the cross of Golgotha, when He gave His life so that we may be free from this lie that we can do it ourselves. If you truly are a Christian you will uphold this fact, and scream it from the rooftops and in the mosques if necessary, and throughout the alleys and town squares in all of the Islamic countries. But to placade Islam as another of multivious ways to be reunited with God is anti-Christian. Enlightenment,Salvation cannot come through jihad, NEVER EVER. If one is to be truly enlightened, forgiven, he-she MUST come to the cross of Christ. If this is not true then Christ died in vain, and indeed He is but a mere man and all the claims of Christianity are falsehoods, and millions upon millions upon possibly billions of believers have been thoroughly deceived. So take that back to Ron Paul and his jihad askkissing following and let them smoke that in their hookahs.
Gerald47, since you've never met or spoken with me, please refrain from making challenges to my personal religious beliefs. I said nothing of Islam being equal to Christianity as a "path to God", yet you assumed that that is precisely what I think and then used that assumption as grounds for challenging me. It is a perfect example of how we modern Christians too often need to prove someone else to be WRONG in order for us to feel justified and secure in our own religious beliefs.
Still, no one has responded to my challenge of Ben Powell's exegesis of the Koran. I claimed that if you did the same with the Bible, you could easily conclude very nasty things about Judaism and Christianity. My first point is this: it is intellectually irresponsible to study a religious text like that. My second point is this: please, I beg of you, go meet a fair-minded Muslim and talk to them about their religion -- find out from them, in relationship, in person. Besides, if you are only interested in converting them (as Gerald47 seems to be), then you are more likely to do so through friendship than by "shouting on the rooftop" of a mosque.
Has anyone heard of the Red Scare? It was a period of heightened fear in our country toward Communism and the threat of Communist spies in the United States. (Actually, there were two Red Scares, following both World Wars.) Anyway, most historians from various ideological persuasions have judged these periods as very anti-democratic eras of unwarranted fear, intolerance, and rabid judgment. America made some of its greatest domestic mistakes during these times. Unfortunately, much of the above conversation is eerily reminiscent of the attitudes and feelings prevalent during the Red Scares. Perhaps it is true that societies struggle to learn from their pasts, and so now we have simply found a new enemy to placate our need for a sense of purpose in the world. I hope that we have the strength to understand this context and then to take a stand for reason, justice, and love in these dark times.
The so called Red Scare you speak of was very real as is the threat we face from convert or die Islam. I must have imagined looking bino to bino with agents of the Soviet Military Liasion Missions in Kaiserslautern, Germany. I watched him watching me and sketchinig the layouts of the Battalion Operations Center I was guarding. Communism was very much a real threat from the then U.S.S.R.. Through diligence and vigilance we outlasted them. Radical Islam (which accounts for most of it) poses the same threat. Unless of course the Sudanese Christians and animist are imagining the persecution they suffer, as well as those in Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Iran, etc.... living under the bootheel of Islam. The Koran is pretty clear about whose head to lop off and such- any who do not adhere to Sharia.
