No, I am not here to talk about the Harry Potter heat as the last book releases tonight.

On the TV night news, I saw many passionate Harry Potter fans waited in line for a whole time for the book and there is like a small carnival going on. I just think it's ironic that if there is equal amount of people passionate about the bible and can't wait to read it again and again, then we should celebrate because there will be a revival coming soon. The bad news is this scene would be rare, if it happens at all.

Everything in the world has a beginning and an end, Harry Potter is no exception as it comes to an end. Emma Watson will continue her study, Daniel Radcliffe will probably change his image before camera (he is not a kid anymore), Rupert Grint will do his thing also.

It is only God's word remains, it has no beginning and no end (heaven and earth will fade, but His word still remain). It is only God's word can renew people's soul and bring it alive.

AMEN!  I definitely agree with you.  I have to admit however, I am guilty of not devoting as much time as I should to the studies of God's word.  If we did as you suggest, we probably wouldn't be in the fix we're in now.

2 Chr 7:14

14      If My people, who are called by My Name shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from the heavens, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

kmcheng, I believe they're are vast amounts of more people that are doing exactly as you are suggesting. People that are in tune with God's word who fully realize the impact of His living word on their lives, our nation, the world, and on a daily basis, even moment to moment. It's just not subject to current media hype as is H.P.. As you have aptly pointed out, those things and ALL things will come and go. God's word will remain for all eternity.

As much as we would all hate to admit it, I think what is happening here in America today is all part of the end times bringing on the events of Revelations.

I hate to be one who talks doom and gloom, but anyone who has studied the Bible, and believes in God's word, would readily agree that we are on the brink. This is not to say we should do nothing to try and stop what is happening, but we should all be watchful and ready just as Jesus said we should be. We can see the signs of the time, by looking at the European Union which I believe is a part of the end.

also to share the gospel to your family, relatives and friends and any one you meet.

you don't want them to be found guilty on the judgment day.

kmcheng, True, and it would be sad should a family member not come to know Christ as their personal Saviour. Not to be pessimistic or disrespectful to you and your understanding, but as my mom used to tell me "You can lead a horse to the water but you cannot make them drink." Those are not her words obviously, but they are very appropriate. One's decision is just that, between him-her and Christ. As for being in the end times. Could be? "watchful and ready" is key.

"You can lead a horse to the water but you cannot make them drink."

yes, this is a fact, as Kirk Cameron pointed out in a video in way of the master web site. But, we can give them "salt" like the Ten Commendments as God's laws, to make them thirst for righteousness.

Of course, you will have to let God to do His work to change people's heart - only God can do that.
