 I would like to take this opportunity to say that I am not the poster who was banned on the Hannity forum for posting porn, nor am I any of those other posters who go by the same user name as I do.

I have done that before.  I participate on several news and politics forums.  I have also written quite a few newspaper columns and letters to the editor.  There is another msbobbie who does gardening and household hints or something.  That ain't me.

As for identity theft.  Several states have legislation that will allow you to freeze your credit.  All three of the reporting companies will give you a password, then when you want to or need to open a new account for a major purchase, you will have to provide that password for the deal to go through.

Just google 'freeze credit' to learn more about it.
