Why was Live Earth a resounding failure? There are reasons why and lets take a look.

1. This lousy and stupid concert was created by a man who continues to live one of the larest lies in history- Algore. He thinks that this Earth is in a global crisis which it really isn't. Why is this planet NOT in a crisis? That answer is verrrrrrry simple. We have a God who is in TOTAL control. This stupid concert was made to supposedly raise awareness of the subject.

It rose mine alright. Algore just raised to the point I will continue to tell everyone even more about the greatest lie ever told.

2. This stupid concert was headed by Liberal entertainers like Madana. They are again living the illusion.

3. The money raised for this awful event will go absolutely--NOWHERE!! How can you spend the money on something that doesn't exist. Another wasted attempt, Algore.

4. The Liberals and Liberal Hollywood sadly continues to worship this world like a god. They really should make Jesus the center of their lives instead of so-called "Mother Earth" (Gaia). Give me a break.

You really have to feel sorry for these environmentalist wackos like Madana and Algore. I hope that they will wake up and see that this--Global Warming isn't really there.

even assume there is global warming, and further assume it is man made, what these leaders can do is at least do what they said.

Al Gore show the video "inconvenient truth" about global warming, and yet his huge house consume tons of energy.. For those singers and bands doing shows, if you can really do what you said, please stop using all your luxary stuffs, including A/C. They never think that the power used for concert and the car people drive there are already making things worse

From what I see, this concert is down right hypocrisy. Those leaders like Al Gore and those singers and bands promote one thing but do another. If you cut out all the hypocrisy there, this is just another concert, in the name of "global warming awareness", and the singers got another chance to perform. Please, if you want to do a concert, just do it to entertain, don't use another name as a cover to pretend they want to do good to the earth.
I wonder how many audiences (and the stars and leaders) there actually give a damn about global warming in real life, or they are mainly just want to go to the concert to have fun. I bet most of them will still live their life back home after the concert. How many of them will actually turn off the A/C when they are indoor (I just use fan, A/C cost too much power. summer is just a few month in NY anyway.)? Or buy less luxary but useless stuff , live a less luxary life and so throw less away afterward?
This step alone can help a lot, just not for the environment, but to save themselves time and money.

It's simple everyone. $$$$$ That's it. Keep in mind the parable of the wheat and the tares, and unless they are infringing directly onto or into your life ignore them. The more PR they get even if it is against them, the more attention they get that may confuse and possibly lead others astray.

Hi all,

I agree with the comments posted so far. Let me add one about all of these Hypocrites.....

Please remember, They[ Libs/Hollywood/ Gore et al]  want You and I, the working class to stop driving, shut our AC off, use less energy..yada yada...the Rub is, in my view, aside from the fact he is full of crap, they have no intention to stop using or give up Anything!! And as far as energy offsets, that is BS also..they pat themselves on the back after they buy these offsets, and say look what a good thing i did!

I read where gore has interests in one of the BS offset companies...

Hows this for an idea..If all them asses in HotAirWood want to help, why not sign over all their Incomes from shows , movies, royalties etc to the poor and downtroddden, open their estates to the homeless..... The way I read it is...we will get the glory, all ya'll working for a living can Pay for it...

Screw those Windbags!!

God Bless America!

"they have no intention to stop using or give up Anything!!"

yup. Why would they want to give up anything while their agenda is for others to take action, not them.

Without actual work, speech and concert promotion is meaningless. If they want others to do it while they are still living a luxary life, then please stop bothering others. They can use their money to focus on the real problem here, like poverty due to bad public policy. Many bad and stupid policies are from those lobbist in congress with tons of money. If they are willing use just 1/10 of this money for good use, America will be a lot better.

But no, they have to use all the resources for their own agenda. What a waste.

Analyst predicts 'Live Earth' will leave tiny footprint on energy policy

An energy policy analyst says those who embrace the message behind former Vice President Al Gore's climate change concerts don't understand how much they would have to change their own personal lives in order to carry out the policies they're promoting.

On Saturday, Gore urged "Live Earth" concertgoers to endorse a seven-point pledge that includes a promise to lobby governments and employers to do more to lower carbon emissions. The pledge also includes working for an immediate ban on new coal-fired power plants.

Myron Ebell, director of energy and global warming policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, says the pledge contains "feel good" commitments such as minimizing one's own carbon footprint -- but the hard commitments, he says, are political.

"I think it might be appropriate to say, 'Well, I agree to reduce my emissions below those of Al Gore.' Of course, 99.9 percent of the world already has emissions lower than Al Gore," Ebell notes, "so that wouldn't be very hard to meet that target. I think it's kind of open-ended, whereas the political commitments are quite definite."

Ebell says the environmental movement has been spending a large amount of money to scare the public. He contends Gore and other global-warming activists have sold many people on the idea that radically reducing emissions from burning coal, oil, and natural gas will not harm the economy.

"If it took place in this country, [it] would mean that unless we had a major economic recession in the next few years, we would start having California-style blackouts in large parts of the country within the next few years," he says, "because right now demand for electricity is growing -- and really the only practical way to meet it is by building new coal-fired power plants."

Ebell adds that he doubts the Live Earth concerts will have much effect on energy policies across the world. Individuals who attend popular music concerts with thousands of other people, he says, "don't tend to be the most politically active constituency in the country."

This earth will come to an end when it's Creator says it's time. He is the Creator and only He will detroy it. He does not need our help. He has already said how it will come to an end and we will never be able to change that.

To reduce our carbon footprint, why not start with SUVs?  Like who in the United States of America actually "needs" a Hummer? ... Just bring on more foreign oil ... we've "got" to have it!

I'm not buying it!

My wife and I never missed a soccer game, a baseball game, or a football game, nor did any of our kid's friends miss them either.  I just don't know how we mangaged!  None of us had SUVs!  We had never even heard of SUVs!

IMHO, most of the SUVs driven today are simply "status" vehicles ... statement vehicles to keep up with the "Joneses".  I rarely see more than one person in any of these vehicles, some of which seem large enough to carry 15 fully equipped Marines!

I'd do one of two things ... 1) stop producing and selling the gas guzzlers as of  1 September 2007, or 2) add a simple luxury tax, due at sale and each year thereafter, of $50,000 per vehicle!  Now, that would be STATUS!  That would be a STATEMENT!  Let them have their status if they feel they need it or just whimsically want it.  Luxury tax revenue could go to America's highways, bridges, and also a certain percentage to add to our national oil reserves.

Neokookery makes lots of folks rich off of the gullible.  Create a conspiracy or sky-is-falling cry wolf theory and sell it to the masses and get WEALTHY.  There will always be those who will buy into it and fight to the death claiming they know it's for real.  Laughable but sad.  At least the snake oil salesman of the past who sold his wares from back of a wagon put on a bit of an entertaining show, much like today's faith healers and those who "speak in unknown tongues" (hmmmm, never thought about how that shows their unwillingness to assimilate and SPEAK ENGLISH ONLY...different topic for another day), and although the product was worthless it had enough "for medicinal use only" alcohol in it that the buyer got a warm and cozy feeling from drinking it.

Today's neokookery makes folks mad and paranoid and mean.  Maybe we need the scare mongers regulated by government and licensed to add some of those "for medicinal purposes only" ingredients into the pot they use to brew their stews.  Tongue out

You certainly do enjoy flaming others don't you? Then you run to the cover of the wiccan thread, and should someone follow you there you piss and moan they're not playing fair.

Of course most Christians take there children to the Dr..  What are you suggesting? Most doctors that I've known have a firm belief in God and Christ.  They will tell you that many many times a patient will recover and they don't have a clue as to why.  They'll also tell you that when patients are being prayed for they also have a much much higher rate of recovery and therapy success.

My roommate in college was the son of a doctor.  His father once told me that, "doctors do not heal patients, but only treat the symptoms."  Christ also told us, "That if you believe in Me and the things I do, greater things than these shall ye do."  Look around leftwich, do you think that if we'd relied soley on your witches brews we'd be where we are today?  I'm not downtalking herbal medicines or herbal preventatives, they too have there place, but they alone are no where near the panacea that some believe they might be.
