Yes a very Happy Independence Day!

Let us not forget those who are fighting and who have fought for our freedom. Let us not forget how precious our country is and what a privilege it is to be an American Citizen.

I hope the day has served to spur on a renewed spirit blowing across the land we call the United States of America wherein we individually, on a daily baisis, lift our hearts and minds to God and praise Him in worship and prayers of thanksgiving that He graciously inspired a planting upon this nation's soil a Republic which exposed the ills of communism (yes, it was practiced early on after Christ's crucifixion but then quickly abandoned), dictatorships, theocracies, democracies, aristocracies, monarchies and socialistic states.

Ben Franklin's response, "A republic, if you can keep it" should run through our daily thinking as individuals and a collective citizenry.  If we keep it.  Have we?  Are we? Do we intend to?  What am I/we doing to assure that it is being kept? What would represent an acceptable alternative to our keeping it?  What is the fate we shall suffer for failure to keep it?

Yes Esquire, we are trying to keep it. It was good to see that the events of the last few months have caused more Americans to become involved in the process.
