The congress abdicated it's constitutional authority to make trade agreements when they began to authorize the President to have "fast-track trade authority".

This is what has created the mess we're in now, with NAFTA, SPP, and the efforts to clandestinely create a North American Union.

The President's authorization for "fast-track trade authority" ran out on June 30th.  I would encourage everyone to see where his/her senators and representatives stand on re-authorization, and if they are not against it, encourage them to stand against it.

I have already heard voices in congress advocating revisiting already- made agreements and re-negotiating them.  These voices need our support.

In light of the 12 or so agreements made by the Bush administration with Mexico, Canada, Central America, and China, I am all for re-negotiating them.  They are proving disastrous for our nation.
