TODAY'S VOTE A SETBACK, NOT THE END, FOR COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM

Washington, DC – The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., expressed deep disappointment with today’s vote to end Senate consideration of comprehensive immigration reform.

“Today’s action is a victory for the status quo, and no one should be happy about that. But the Senate vote is a setback, not the death knell, for comprehensive immigration reform. We are not giving up on getting a real, effective, and fair solution to the immigration issue,” stated Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CEO.

“Despite today’s vote, the country still needs leadership on this issue. There is bipartisan immigration reform legislation awaiting action in the U.S. House of Representatives, and supporters of comprehensive immigration reform will be looking to the House to take action as soon as possible,” continued Murguía.

“Finally, we believe that whatever political gain people think may come out of this vote will be short-lived, especially in light of the growing and increasingly energized Latino electorate. In the long run, legislators should and will be held accountable for not moving a solution forward,” concluded Murguía.

Oh really!  Gee we're shaking in our boots.  Oh my...the increasing energized Latino electorate doesn't like this.    THOUGH SH**!!

Give me your "tough sh** ticket" and I'll punch it for you.

WE RUN THIS COUNTRY.!!..THE LEGAL CITIZENS!  This may be a news flash for you idiot...but MANY Latinos DID NOT WANT THIS EITHER.  The Latinos that came to this country legally are just as outraged!  The Latinos that love this country, worked hard to assimilate, worked hard to achieve a high standard of living are not buying this B.S. either.  They realize their standard of living will go down also because their wages will go down too.

You guys have played this race card too many times!  It doesn't work anymore.  When you have no rational arguments, when you can't get your way by competing in the arena of ideas you immediately go back to the race card.

Well sorry,  oh hummm......playing the race card only musters a meager............Oh Hummmm ..from the nation anymore.  Basically, who gives a Sh**!  We want people..all people to play by the rules, to assimilate and stop the back door weasle moves.

Sorry buster.....doesn't work anymore.  The nation spoke yesterday.  In the words of Ronald Reagan "We won, you lost"

This confirms the Aztlan objective of getting Latinos into elected positions for the shear purpose of making policy that favors only Latinos! We must never let this happen! If this were not the case....she wouldn't have used the word Latino. Just like Lou said last night to Rep. Guiterrez...shouldn't policy be made for the good of U.S. Citizens vice only for a specific group of people based on ethnicity. Guiterrez of course dodged the question.

"We do need to play by the rules. The people affilitated with NCLR, etc. will let emotions get the best of them and will put their feet into their own mouths by their actions. Just look at the demonstrations and the way the people act. What we need to do is outsmart all of them. We have the brainpower. We need to operate as a cohesive, unified, smart group." La Raza...eat my shorts!  You're not getting our country so go back to Mexico and fix some margaritas for all the wealthy Americans who vacation at your resorts.  You can speak all the Spanish you want there, too.

Hasta la vista, suckers!

Angry Patriot, Yes, that is how I reallly feel. You can't be nice with people like Janet. All she understands is hate. She is hate. She lives and breathes to hate. She is the EPITOME OF THE HATRED AND BIGOTRY  SHE ACCUSES OTHERS OF!

So yes, I speak to her in the only language she truly understands.

Martha, I can't disagree at all with you about anyone associated with NCLR, Mecha, etc. Those organizations promote hate! It is time to call them out!

Angry Patriot, These hate groups are projection personified, and the more they are publicly exposed, the better.

Slowly, slowly the ship, (the United States), is righting herself. I have absolutely no doubt about that. I am ever vigilant. I pray to God to bring them out in full force over July 4th. I pray to God that they will be exposed for what they truly are. I pray to God they fall right into step with their new masters, the enemies within, and show themselves full force.
