Heads up Texas!  Everyone should go to your capital and protest Gov. Rick Perry! He wants to be he first to start to tear up the United States!  We need everyone to go and protest him and find out how to get rid of this piece of work! The rest of the U.S. is depending on you to hold the line!  Don't let him get away with this!  Let's see if we can get some of the other involved states in on this one!  Hang in there! Send this around to all that you know in any state that will have this mess heading in there direction!  We need to pull together and fight this!

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a Republican, has vetoed a series of bills passed by the Texas Legislature, clearing the way for the Texas Department of Transportation to begin construction on the four-football-fields-wide new Trans-Texas Corridor along Interstate 35 (TTC-35) from the Mexican border at Laredo north to the Oklahoma border south of Oklahoma City. On Friday, June 15, Perry vetoed an eminent-domain reform bill passed by the Legislature. Provisions in the bill would have made prohibitively expensive the acquisition of the thousands of acres of private land needed to construct the Trans-Texas corridor. In vetoing the bill, Perry's office issued a press release claiming House Bill No. 20 ...

Anyone in the state of Texas, Oklahoma and other states involved should immediately start getting with their state legislators to stop this as well as the same with the Texas DOT.  I'll email some of them myself.

The Oklahoma Legislature meets every year from the beginning of February to the end of May.  This year a bill was introduced in the House having to do with highways, and Senator Randy Brogdon attached an ammendment to it to prevent the state department of transportation from negotiating with NASCO and using our highway money to build the Superhighway through Oklahoma.  The original bill (first approved in the House) with the amendment attached passed the state Senate  had to go back to the House to approve the amendment.  People from NASCO showed up to lobby the House against the amendment, and the amendment failed in the House.  Leader Lance Cargill's a$$ is grass now.

This item will be a big issue in the elections next hear.

Anyone with any doubts about the NAU and NAFTA's goals must read this article. It is well documented and leaves you both informed and frightened. No one could have ever told me that the Supreme Court would allow the utilization of eminent domain by private businesses to seize the property of citizens. Saying I was shocked doesn't express my feelings when they made their decision. It laid precedent for the highway to pave its way north with nothing or no one to stand in the way.

Here is something for you to read.  This is all tied into the highway.  The SPP would move our southern borders all the way to Panama!  The Northern borders would be moved north to the outer parameter of Canada!  This must be stopped!  This is when they will start calling this the North American Union!

Protesters to converge on North America summit
Canada hosts trilateral SPP meeting with Bush, Mexican president

Activists already are preparing to protest the third summit meeting of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, a trilateral initiative between the U.S., Canada and Mexico seen by critics as a major step toward a North American Union, according to WND columnist Jerome Corsi, author of a new book on the subject, "The Late Great USA."

The meeting, which has received almost no mention in the U.S. mainstream media, is scheduled for Aug. 20 and 21 in Montebello, Quebec, at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello resort.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is scheduled to host the Quebec summit, which will be attended by Mexican President Felipe Calderon and President Bush.

Harper said in a statement announcing the SPP summit, "We share a continent with the United States and Mexico, and our people, our economies and our security are closely interconnected."

The first SPP summit was held in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005. The second took place in was held in Cancun, Mexico, in March 2006.

Canadian groups that say they oppose the SPP agenda of North American "deep integration" are organizing to protest the meeting.

The Council of Canadians held a March 30-April 1 "teach in" titled "Integrate This! Challenging the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America." A brochure on the Council of Canadians website says SPP "is moving Canada quickly toward a continental resource pact, a North American security perimeter and harmonized military and security policies."

The brochure argues SPP working groups "composed of bureaucrats and corporate leaders are quietly putting this 'partnership' into action, and to date only industry 'stakeholders' have been consulted."

WND reported the Canadian Action Party flew the Canadian flag upside down during its 2006 convention as a sign of distress and resistance of any integration into a North American regional government.

WND also reported Canadian activists have protested "The North American Future 2025 Project" undertaken by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington-based think tank that plans to present its research results to the U.S. Congress and the Canadian Parliament before the end of the year.

Canadian activists have argued a major goal of the CSIS study is to identify Canadian oil and fresh water as continental "North American natural resources" which, under SPP, could be diverted to U.S. cities without fair compensation to Canada.

Those of us in Texas near IH-35 and especially those of us in Austin are only too well aware of these shenanigans.  There are many activists fighting it for various reasons.  Look at TexasTollParty.com if you are interested.

How many illegals are they hiring to work on this project?  And/or will an equitable number of non-Hispanics be hired?  (I worked as an Engineering Project Asst. on federally funded highway projects where the EEO paperwork read, "Hire Male Hispanics ONLY"!)  We need "watchdogs" on this.   Since it's a gov't project, pay scales and EEO records are open to the public.

That is a very good idea!  I will try and look into that, as this has to be stopped!  The sooner we get rolling, the better chance we have of stopping it before it gets started!

Does anyone have a good link to the maps? I remember looking at the reports in the libary last year. I live right by 35. The maps on the web-sites will make you blind. I also didnt realize the rail lines at all, its going to be like some sort of compressed village all along the roadway. I read about trollys and stuff. I knew Bush wanted this through( Immigration bill) for the SPP and Highway but when you read all the info about the project, I really think they just thought we would all get ID cards and become one big happy family. At least they got rid of the Spanish group-(Cintros- I think) to build and own the tolls from the road, Oh by the way, I know this will sound crazy, but I told my sister-in-law yesterday, dont be suprised when they come out and say we are on high terrorist alert and we need to put some measures in place. Just heard on the news because of london, the goverment is telling us to be very watchful. Bush needs the things that were in the bill to get going on his plans. Just watch,

I don't know how to set one up! If I did...I would. So who knows how to set a petition up? Once it is set up...we can all sign it.

Most of what I know about this other POS I learned here:

http://www.oklahomaconstitution.com/constory1.html

and here:

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55587

I asked Senator Inhofe about it and received this reply.  I think I have posted it before:

Dear Ms. ___________

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding a proposed North American Union. You are one of many constituents that have recently expressed concern about th e creation of a u nion between Canada , the United States , and Mexico . Please know that no such union currently exists, and I would adamantly oppose any agreement that would attempt to create such a union.

This envisioned union would assert edly create, among other things, open borders and would be complete with its own currency , the "Amero." A North American Union would, at a minimum, require legislation to be passed by Congress in order to be established. Similarly, adopting the "Amero" would require legislation by all three countries - a process that currently appears unlikely. There is currently no legislative activity focused on a North American Union or an "Amero . "

The idea of a North American Union has been widely attributed to the trilateral initiative between the United States , Canada , and Mexico , called the "Security and Prosperity Partnership Act (SPP) ." The SPP wa s announced at a March 23, 2005 meeting of President George W. Bush , Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin, as an effort to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries.

Soon after the March 2005 meeting of the SPP the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) published a report titled "Building a North American Community" that has been labeled as the "blueprint" for a North American Union. Its central recommendation is the establishment of a North American economic and security community by 2010. The CFR is an independent think tank and has no affiliation with the U.S. government. The proposals in this report are CFR's own recommendations and do not reflect the thinking of Congress or myself .

Another factor contributing to the idea of a North American Union is the proposed North American Superhighway or NAFTA Superhighway. As with the "Amero" and the North American Union itself, there is currently no legislative activity focused on building a North American Superhighway. The Trans Texas Corridor, which is currently in the planning stages, is a Texas state initiative that is being designed to solve the future challenges of Texas ' transportation system.

Again, thank you for your correspondence. I certai nly understand your concern over this issue . Again, I want you to know that I oppose a North American Union. I pledge to you now that I will oppose and actively work against any proposal that would undermine the sovereignty of the United States in any way.
