The story is getting ready to load, so sorry it's not available yet:

SENATOR CLAIMS BOXER/CLINTON CONSPIRING TO BRING DOWN TALKRADIO; WANT 'LEGISLATIVE FIX'

By the looks of them, there are other things they should fix besides talk radio.  But, does this mean they are also going to shut down Airhead Amerikka?

Hey, the subject was first brot up by no other than Trent Lott the other day, he wants to 'fix' the problem of talk radio getting the people all riled up!!

If you have to hyphenate your race--you are NOT an American!! This from a French-German-English-Irish-AMERICAN! See how silly this can become?

Air America sputtered and faltered all on its own.  They shut down a couple months ago, with a fire sale not long after.  See, NOBODY wants to listen to that crap, and they died.  However, conservative radio is hot and popular, and the very fact that they would entertain -- ENTERTAIN -- the thought of shutting it down or getting the legislature involved REEKS of communism!!

HEY, YOU TWO GOATS, WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU AFRAID OF??  WHY ARE YOU TRYING SO HARD TO SILENCE PEOPLE?  WHO THE F*** DO YOU THINK YOU ARE???  YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED...

This is what is concerning me so much.

We are living in drastic times.  Every time you turn around, some loose-minded liberal is making thoughts and beliefs into hate crimes, crimes that average people like you and me can be convicted of.  For simply having beliefs.  For simply stating facts.  Hate crimes.

NOW we have elected officials THREATENING to shut down the opposition!!  And NONE of the detractors are conservatives/Republicans, they're ALL liberals!!  If that doesn't tell ALL of us that they have absolutely no business in power, nothing will.

Once they can silence you, they have you.

YOu consider Trent Lott a LIBERAL?? Boy, that is a definition of the term I have never heard before.

Hey, lets face it, you may HATE liberals with a passion but do NOT be so silly as to not see that the conservatives are behind some of this stuff too, read this, and weep, because it was a REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVE who first brot this up about stopping talk radio:

For the record, I'm beginning to hate 'em all.

To me, shutting people up is a very liberal tactic.  Not saying that the conservatives aren't learning how to be jerkwads too -- especially where this bill is concerned.  I am certain that they hate talk radio now with a passion since all their back-room handshakes were being put out there for all of us to know about.

I don't know enough about Lott's record to know if he is a Republican in name only.  Many of them do that.  However, it is now Clinton and Boxer who apparently are moving to take some legislative action AGAINST FREE SPEECH.  If that doesn't freeze the blood in your veins, nothing will.

Well, my suggestion is don't be foolish enough to be watching "liberals" like a hawk and find out that behind your back, the conservatives have just cut your throat--remember, this bill is being cheerleaded by Bush and several top conservative republicans--this is the bill Bush has wanted passed since the get go, now is the time to really pay attention to individuals REGARDLESS of party affiliation--NONE of them can be trusted IMO....but I am not so silly as to think that "liberal" is a dirty word any  more than I think 'conservative' is a dirty word.

Nope, I would think all the OTHER media stations are fine.  Though FOX would be toast once they got this "legislative fix" against talk radio...

People really need to do something about these loose cannons.  Hillary is no better than mafioso, and I just don't know about Boxer.

Again for the record, I now HAVE no party affiliation.  I USED to consider myself a conservative -- until they left me high and dry.  They no longer have my support either.

I have to take the threat seriously as I've heard this from all the talk radio hosts. Hannity asked today that we all stand behing them and fight for them. What next, the thought police?

The thought police is already here.  I could find the story if need be, but recently there was a state that adopted the premise that it is hate speech if people claim marriage to be between a man and a woman.  It's now a crime wherever this was.  A HATE CRIME!!

Not only do they hate our freedoms, they hate that we have choice and that we are actually listening to dissenting points of view.  Like was said in the audit (whoever the guy was walking with the Senators), "There isn't a market for your tripe."

In that case, the thought police must have a stack of warrants out for me.

Actually it is nothing new, and goes all the way back to 1949.  Google FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. It comes back about every 3-4 years to indoctrinate young 'progressives' who were only 12-14 the last time it came up:

 October 29, 1993
Why the Fairness Doctrine is Anything But Fair
by Adam Thierer
Executive Memorandum #368

Legislation currently is before Congress that would reinstate a federal communications policy known as the "fairness doctrine." The legislation, entitled the "Fairness in Broadcasting Act of 1993," is sponsored in the Senate (S. 333) by Ernest Hollings, the South Carolina Democrat, and in the House (H.R. 1985) by Bill Hefner, the North Carolina Democrat. It would codify a 1949 Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulation that once required broadcasters to "afford reasonable opportunity for the discussion of conflicting views of public importance." The fairness doctrine was overturned by the FCC in 1987. The FCC discarded the rule because, contrary to its purpose, it failed to encourage the discussion of more controversial issues. There were also concerns that it was in violation of First Amendment free speech principles. The legislation now before Congress would enshrine the fairness doctrine into law.

GET CONGRESS ATTENTION! CHANGE YOUR W-4 AT WORK AND CLAIM 10 DEPENDENTS SO NO TAXES WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR PAYCHECK. WHEN THE MONEY STOPS COMING IN MAYBE THEY WILL REMEMBER THEY ARE SERVANTS TO WE THE PEOPLE.
