NATIONAL CAMPAIGN TO TAKE LOU DOBBS OFF CNN Lou Dobbs: Self Interested Demagoguery: One who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain ratings   Why AOL? Lou Dobbs is the number one money maker for CNN so he is not going anywhere as long as he makes money for CNN and right now he is making a ton of money for CNN bashing "illegal immigration."   CNN is owned by Time Warner and Time Warner also owns AOL which is being extensively promoted to increase its value as witnessed last week by selling 5% of AOL stock to Google. This 5% cost Google $1 Billion setting a benchmark value for AOL stock.   The Google-AOL deal gives AOL a valuation of $20 billion.   Billionaire Time Warner shareholder Carl Icahn who controls 3 percent of Time Warner shares has been organizing a proxy battle for control of Time Warner wants to sell AOL.   We could never directly muzzle Lou Dobbs because the revenue his trashing of Hispanic/Latinos generates for CNN is huge and CNN's revenue belongs to Time Warner.   The Achilles heel is AOL. If the value of AOL was to decrease dramatically because of the loss of the Hispanic/Latino market, Time Warner, and more so, Carl Icahn, would move to stop this hemorrhage. The only way to stop the hemorrhage would be to meet the demands of the Hispanic/Latino community: Remove Lou Dobbs off the Air.   Why is this so important?   The marches, rallies, and protests have been instrumental in the Senate Judiciary Committee's adoption of the McCain Kennedy Immigration Reform proposal and its submission to the Senate for debate. The monumental protests have been heard in Washington and around the USA.   As monumental as the protests have energized the Hispanic community, the protests will not take immigration over the top as witnessed by the Senate failing to approve immigration reform.   Time now for a reality check: The US Senate debated immigration reform but the Senate votes to adopt the Kennedy McCain proposal were simply not there!   Something else now needs to be added to the protests to take us to the next level if we are going to realize immigration reform as Hispanics favor.   Lou Dobbs   Lou Dobbs has become the champion zealot of bashing "illegal immigration" each night at CNN promoting HR 4437 as the only way of dealing with "Broken Borders" to protect the USA. The only way to stop Lou Dobbs, the raving populist xenophobe, is to invoke "The Achilles heel: AOL."   As of March 31, AOL had 18.6 million members in the United States, down from a peak of 26.7 million in September 2002.   Many of these are US Hispanics, in addition, AOL has a growing percentage of Latin America accounts among new users. To increase market share, AOL is being marketed to the Hispanic/Latino internet community for its ease of use. There are other internet companies that are even easier to use, have faster speeds, and are less expensive. With a national Ax AOL campaign especially among our savvy youth with their ever increasing use of text messaging, IM, and Internet, if Hispanics would drop AOL and move in droves to other internet providers, significant pressure would result causing owners of AOL to realize the only way to re-capture market share would be to remove CNN's Lou Dobbs.   Removing Lou Dobbs off the air would completely disarm the national leader of promoting HR 4437 and would be the most powerful message that could be provided to the Congress, President Bush, 2008 presidential candidates and the entire USA. The demise of Lou Dobbs would be fatal. There would be nowhere for him to land because wherever he surfaced such as FOX, the Ax AOL campaign would follow him by simply changing our name to Ax FOX.   If CNN does not remove Lou Dobbs, we will move to escalate to boycott all CNN corporate sponsors beginning with sponsors of CNN en Espanol. We are approaching $1 Trillion in annual Hispanic purchasing. Lou Dobbs, like any other reporter and/or newscaster who has his own show should be allowed his opinion.  Whether one agrees with him 100% is a personal decision.  The fact that illegal aliens of all races are crossing the southern border is a national sovereignty and security issue.  ALL who cross the border illegally are breaking the law.   It's quite simple.  There are concequences for breaking the law.  If you haven't broken the law -- what's the problem? 

In all honesty, corporate America would like nothing more than the illegal alien issue to continue in order to exploit as many illegal aliens as possible and divide the nation.  If illegal aliens would understand how they are being treated as modern day slaves, they might revolt against those who are actually exploiting them.  The American worker is just trying to maintain a honest standard of living.  Corporate America does NOT want the American workers and the illegal aliens to join forces against them for better wages and benefits.  But if you want a better standard of living, maybe one ought to learn more about the reason big business wants illegals here....Follow the money.  It's not that Americans won't do the jobs, it's that corporate America can manipulate and exploit those who are here and have broken the law to be here.  You will be their asset until they decide you are a liability.  You will be terminated and there will be someone else to take your place anyway.  Corporate America sees this situation as "a dime a dozen" -- really cheap.  They're willing to take the risk of a ICE raid.....There's more to exploit tomorrow.  If you don't understand the language, all the better.  It's all about the money -- not law, ethics, nor honesty.

Instead of bashing another person for their opinion, find the truth.   

If you don't want to watch Lou Dobb's show nor like him, then change the channel. 

iowaems...I agree that corporate America is running this illegal alien issue behind the almighty dollar.  But I can't count how many times I've heard from people or read somewhere that the illegals and their supporters' main goal is to take over the U.S. in the name of Atzlan.  I've also heard and read from people who have worked with illegals that they have said they have come over here illegally for the money and to take advantage of America and her social services. 

Not to be disrespectful, but don't treat these people like they're innocent bystanders.  They came here for jobs, illegally, and if they are taken advantage of by big business then so be it.  I didn't send them an invitation to break our laws.

Believe me, I don't defend big business...everyone knows they would sell out their own grandmothers for the almighty dollar, but if you break the law by crossing our borders illegally, you pay the price, whatever that may be.

One of the biggest exploiters along with big business in this issue is Mexico.  After all, the illegals send most of their cash back to that country while sucking off the taxpayers here.  They're getting a free ride while we foot the bill.  Plus, their living arrangements in the U.S. are loads better than what they have in Mexico.  They're the poor and squalled of Mexico's people and they're living in the lap of luxury here.

Sorry, can't feel sorry for them one iota.

Lou Dobbs is one of the few people in this country who has the guts to speak his mind without fiddling around for the PC thing to say.  He doesn't give a crap who is offended because he knows he's right.  Kudos to him for standing up for us!

I am glad that someone else is saying this too.  I have been saying it for a long time.

The (Mexican) illegal immigrants are the next American slave class.  They should be offended by this.  But, the thing you need to recognize is, #1, they know that their children and children's children will rise out of the poverty and take the high paying corporate jobs of America (Hispanics get all kinds of educational aid for public colleges).  #2, they know that as this happens and as Hispanics take over America, they too will benefit, though they had to start out as slave labor.

The illegals do know it. They understand it very well. When they become legal they will work on demanding legal wages. But they are also just using the businesses. Even though I was born a US citizen, I had to go through this assimilation process. It's this process that brings out our full potential. Once we assimilate, we are free to pursue the American Dream. I got a college degree, worked hard, and now hold a nice white collar job. The thing is, that I did it just like all the other people here in the US.

The liberal left has been pandering to multiculturism, which is anti-assimilation. It's another play on "United we stand, separated we fall." It is a lot easier for the fascists in this nation to pick us off, when we all have different cultural values. Unfortunately, there are a lot of entities with the finger in the money pie. Republican leaders are in the pockets of big and small business who want cheap labor. Democrat leaders want votes at any cost, and want to bring back communism and socialism.

I think we will see the birth of a third party very soon. Just like the Founders wanted to be free and independent of the tyranny of England, we in our time want to be free from the tyranny of greedy business and political entities that want to tell us what to do. Both of you get cigars on this one!!  I have always said, when you come here, you need to become AMERICAN not stay in little chinas or little mexcios.   The culture you left behind is the salt/pepper to the main course,  not THE main course itself!  Bring a bit with you, we all like to see a bit of culture displayed, but when you have no intentions of leaving your old country and ways behind you when you cross our borders, there is no reason for you to be here.    We should be AMERICAN FIRST and then multi-cultured, unfortunately, recent immigrants, legal or not, the past 20 years or so don't see it that way, they want to come here and have satellite "countries" of their homelands.

The fear most have of being interviewed by Lou Dobbs is so real that I nearly wet myself out of laughter watching them squirm when he says " Oh , really ?" At this point in time the person has most likely wet themself out of fear . I have yet to see anyone be interviewed  by Lou Dobbs who is ten feet tall and bulletproof . Thanks, Hector, I appreciate your insights.  Texas Sovereignty is totally correct.  In Iowa where Tyson, Swift and  Co, Sara Lee, and other packing houses are located throughout the state, it's a known fact that illegals are being hired all the time.  The number of foreigners, legal and illegal, employed as more quadrupled in the past five to six years in the local processing plants.  The day after an ICE raid at a Swift & Co packing plant in Iowa, nearly 75% of the work force in other processing plants in the area failed to report.  IF law enforcement would enact the penalties, fines, etc., on the packing houses, the source of employment of illegal aliens would cease to be.  

And yes, they do not assimilate well and some have no intention of doing so.  Your descriptons of the attitudes is right on.  A beautiful city within 30 miles from my home changed into many small subcommunities dividing the town when IBP/Tyson opened the packing house.  It is said that what was once thought as an employment opportunity for the community has now become a nightmare!  The illegals knowingly broke the law to come here and the packing house knowingly broke the law by hiring them.  There are concequences for breaking the law. 

IF there was a campaign supporting the Lou Dobbs show, I would sign on!  In agreement or not, he gets us all thinking and his candor is appreciated.  PC be damned! Go Lou!
