David Sipes, former Border Patrol Agent, was prosecuted  and convicted of physically restraining an illegal alien.   He won a new trial after the prosecution lied in the first trial.  David was found "Not Guilty" by his second jury, but he did not get his old job back.  Yesterday the courts ordered David Sipes reinstated with back pay from April, 2001!  THREE CHEERS FOR DAVID SIPES AND HIS ATTORNEY, JACK WOLFE!  WAY TO GO!

Three cheers for David!

I wonder why he would want his old job back under the current circumstances. If he "restrains" an illegal alien again, back to jail he goes.

Im glad for him and his family....that leaves hope at least for Ramos and Compeans family and Hernandez's family. I hope something will break for them soon too. A second trial will deffinately do it, with Johnny Sutton no where around.

Why did it have to take this long for justice to be served. He should have gotten the same compound interest credit card companies are allowed to screw us out of.

Hopefully this will happen for the other agents "illegally" imprisoned by Johnny Sutton.  Congratulations to David Sipes.  We'll have to find out where to write him.  Compean and Ramos, I am sure, still need letters.

Congrats to you, Mr. Sipes!  VIVA LA MIGRA!

Could it be the grassroots community has stirred the pot just enough to spill that boiling oil on some of our LAME representatives?  Jeez, I hope so because if they continue down the path THEY want to take, they're looking at a whole lot more than just a little HOT OIL.

He should also get back pay for the time he was off the job because of this. Maybe a bonus for suffering and damage.

Yes, six years back pay isn't bad, but if I were David Sipes I would sue this government out of its teeth!!  It does make me hopeful for Compean and Ramos in the future.  And, yes, I am sure they still would like to hear from all of us.  Can you imagine what it must be like to sit locked in a small room for 23 hours every day?  Keep raising hell with your Congresspeople about a pardon for them.   The Judiciary Committee in the Senate has a hearing scheduled to look into the prosecution of Jose and Nacho, but it has been postponed THREE times...I have been told by Johnny Sutton, but do not know that, for sure.  I know we've been writing forever but when you think about stopping, remember where they are and why.  Then WRITE again!

At the Austin rally today, they handed out fliers for a rally on June 30th in San Antonio to "Demand the removal of Johnny Sutton for illegal prosecution of: Deputy Gilmer Hernandez along with Agents Jose Compean, Ignacio Ramos, Noe Aleman, and Gary Brugman."

http://www.usborderwatch.com/

Gilmer Hernandez's wife was one of the speakers today and made quite an impact on the crowd. She is a lovely person. Her story along with those of 2 Border Patrol Agents were so alarming with respect to what actually goes on at the Texas border; I had no idea these things have been happening. Why doesn't the media cover OUR side?!

NoMoreSilence, that's a very good question.  I have tried many times to get info even in Letters to the Editors of the Dallas Morning News.  Guess what?  I've never gotten anything printed.  If you are shocked, I hope you will start making noise...lots of noise.  Write Congress, write 48Hours, 60 Minutes, Dateline, etc.  If we are all yelling at the top of our lungs,  someone is going to get tired of the noise and listen.  That rally in San Antonio sounds GOOD!

They may only try to convince you that you are  a minority and what they show is what the majoraty want to see. I stopped even reading the newspaper quite a while back. Even then I knew the news was all one sided.

Thank you "no more silence" for the link to the usborderswatch site.  The information there that the states may be the only hope for stopping some of the isane legislation that is coming out of our Congress needs to be addressed.   We must contact Daryl Metcalfe of the State Legislator's Coalition to ask him if the Coalition will undertake this responsibility to save us from what is happening to our country...so many issues to deal with, but the border and the illegals is the first major dilemma.   Please write or email him.

Kaks...they are indeed working on that. The 26th state just signed up for the coatition so as it grows, so does hope that there will be enough states to overturn this mess.
