Hey Folks, I just posted this video that I made from some video and pics I took at the immigration shamnesty bill protest Rally in Atlanta 6/07/07. Go check it out!
OMG! I love it. I am proud to know that I live just 80 miles north from where you shot this video. I live in Dalton, we are overrun by the illegals and our city leaders have been bought out by big business. We are the most lawless city in GA and it is getting worse.
Answer me a question, when cars drove by yall, what response did they have? Did any pull over and join in? Just curious.
It was a pretty good turnout. Around 500 rowdy folks. I'd like to see 5000 at the next one. You gotta be dedicated to go to a No Amnesty Rally at 7 Pm on Thursday night. The response was very encouraging. Lots of honks and thumbs up. A few negatives. Some people looked confused and amazed at the same time. Maybe they were waking up. There was a small counter protest across the street. Some of us went over there but the cops came and said we did not have a permit to be on that side of the street and ran us off. The counter protesters were very patronizing at first. Saying stuff like "thank you Senators for considering the important issue of immigration reform" about 1000 times. But later they started showing their true colors and started chanting "We are the new majority" and "We will vote." So that's the real problem with amnesty and a 'path to citizenship' isn't it? A new imported subversive democratic majority.
Yep, and unfortunately, the small few are the ones that get noticed. If you want your blood to boil, you all need to go over to FLORIDA's board and read what "For America" just wrote. I think this person has punched in the wrong website. LOL

Nice job on the video.
Rayj First you're born, you pay taxes, you die. Then your next of kin has to pay more taxes on your funeral! How fair is that?

I enjoyed your video. I found myself pondering whether crowds like that will grow larger and louder around the country or the people who actually care now will give up. It's so hard to believe that Middle Class America is being attacked full throttle and most of them don't know, don't want to know or don't care to step out of their little boxes.
I shouldn't have to press anything for English..............
Thats true, but I do beleive America is slowly waking up. Some dont want to but the more attention thats brought forward on this the more they will have no choice. Then they will be like us....awake, cranky, and hopping mad
What really makes me mad is that You have to have a permit from the government to express your rights as given and spelled out in the constitution. Why do I have to have a permit from the government that I am protesting.

I agree there. I guess there is some need for civic order if your taking up a street. But standing on a street corner? Give me a break. Well, we can only protest one thing at a time!!!
Awesome to see proof that others in our communities are finally standing up and shouting out in protest against what's happening!!
I was unfortunately unable to attend due to a major commitment to my job... but I was gratified that I was able to listen to the broadcast of it live on NewsTalk 750 AM WSB, presented by "Atlanta's only overnight talk show" host Kris Krok. Put him next to a bullhorn and a radio microphone, and you've got you some lively and loud talkin' goin' on!!! Even just listening to it and watching CSPAN2 live as the Cloture vote failed was an awesome moment...
Getting video of the event out on the web is the next step in our attempt to gain more momentum from this small, yet significant victory. You've done a great service to our community! Congratulations! I posted my latest letter to Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson on the topic "Where's The Fence" on the Firesociety forums. When people see their friends and neighbors acting to influence legislation - and it appears to work - then they're much more likely to join in the next time (and there WILL BE a next time) another attempt at sleazy sellout occurs.
I believe we should focus sharply on the "Where's The Fence" operation over the next few months, and see if we can get some media play, mileage (literally), or money committed to building the 800 miles or so of fence as outlined in last October's vote by Congress (H.R. 6061) Entitled The Secure Border Fence Act of 2006.
Above all, if you're in Georgia, please call, write, fax, e-mail Senator Chambliss and Senator Isakson. Don't let the heat cool down. Saxby is up for reelection next fall, and in that respect, we've got him where we want him, not the other way around!!
Those of you in other states should do the same for your Senators - especially the sellouts like John McCain, Lindsay Graham(nesty) and Mel Martinez to name just a few...

Great video. I attended my first rally in LA a couple of weeks ago and let me say that it was an awesome experience. If any of you out there haven't done this yet, get your flag and participate. You'll be glad you did.

I whole heartedly agree! It is extremely motivating!!!
Where's the Fence? That is funny. I think Senator's Chambliss and Isakson were sittin' on the fence, so to speak, waiting to see which way to poitical wind was going to blow. We had a lot of 'hot air' down here and many people turned up the heat on them. HA!!!
